I totally agree with you. I went to watch Giselle that weekend and enjoyed 100 times more than other ballets I previously watched. But, I understand it takes a while to prepare for the video so no worries.

That helps. I couldn't figure out how to make an hour plus long ballet out of 'girl meets guy, they fall in love instantly, something or something mucks it up, she gets heart-broken and dies in act one. And what was going on in act two? The female lonely hearts ghost club is a bit interesting. They explain how at least they can take up a chunk of act two.

Thank you so much!!! My 4 year old girl will be performing as part of the cast of “Giselle” pretty soon!!! Her recital is in a few weeks on Sunday, June 26th! This whole time I’ve been trying to figure out the story from just the dancing and it didn’t make any sense to me, lol ;P~!! Your explanation helped me a lot ;P~!!

At what age did you start your dance career? Did you start at a young age with interest in “ballet?” Did you explore other forms of dance before becoming dedicated to ballet? Thank you ^-*!!!! (My 4 year old is just starting to explore formal dance this year.).

My mom enrolled me in ballet when I was 3, but I had pretty bad stage fright so it wasn't until I was probably 8 or 9 that I started dancing again. I started with the typical ballet, jazz, tap combo classes for about two years, then I moved into competitive dance, but I always really enjoyed the ballet technique classes we had to take. It wasn't until middle school that I really got into ballet and started to "classically" train. I now train in many different styles, but I still love and train in ballet. I'll be sending good luck to your daughter's Giselle performance, I hope she has a blast!

@@margaretpughdance Thank you so much 🥰🩰🎊🎉👍‼️ That gives me a good perspective on possibilities for my little one 😋✨❤️✨🩰✨‼️ She is loving Ballet 🩰 right now but she basically seems interested in any form of dancing really. I’m trying to stick with Ballet and only Ballet for hopefully at least a few years… (as opposed to other forms of dancing,) bc I believe it will give her the basic “bones” to build any other type of dance form after she gets Ballet down first.
If you disagree, please let me know. It’s been such a whirlwind!!!
My daughter had so much fun at her performance 🎭 ^-*!!!!! She has two weeks off from dance right now and then she will be in ballet “dance camp” for 3 weeks from 9am-2pm every week day ^-*!!! I can’t wait to see how “camp” will help her dance knowledge evolve… even just a little bit ^-*!!! Also I’m majorly interested in seeing how sticking to ballet within a routine at a young age will help her ability to stay focused in general with anything she needs to do in life!

@@vanessasamayoa9329 That's amazing! I do think ballet teaches a lot of good lessons (for dance and for life)! If she likes ballet I think it's great to continue with that, but I also thinking learning different styles will help her understand her body even more. Especially if she some day wants a career in dance versatility is is important, but I think listening to what she is interested in is always the best way to go! Wish her good luck in her dance camp! those are always invigorating and tiring
