Wētā Workshop: Behind the Scenes on Thor: Ragnarok

- The latest film in the Marvel universe has Kiwi blood running through its veins! New Zealand's Weta Workshop manufactured hyper-stylised armour and weapons for Thor: Ragnarok.
This may be our most colourful job yet. Our costume and prop crews made super cool helmets for Thor and Hulk, the colourful Grandmaster Guard armour, the striking blue costume of Skurge (Karl Urban), and even a costume for director Taika Waititi himself.

I think it was great for Weta to re-meet with Karl Urban, as I guess they already met him from time to time as he played Eomer in "The Lord of the Rings"
You all did an utterly _spectacular_ job! Thanks for helping to bring this film to life in an eye-popping and wonderfully real way! You're all the best!!
Amazing work. The costume design was the most unique in this movie and you brought it to life so magnificently, it was even more colourful than Guardians and that's saying something.
Scyllaya not at all
The whole production design of Sakaar reminded me of 80s toys, in a good way. From the costumes to the weapons (those shiny blasters) to the settings (that all purple Grandmaster statue), it all looked just like the toys with which I used to pay as a child. Too much awesomeness!
Karl Urban wearing an armored suit reminded me that I need a Dredd 2
Your designs are great....especially your Skurge outfit. Very beautiful..... 😍 😙
Totally agree, Weta are awesome...great film too. 🏆👍🏼😊
Karl Urban wears another suit of armor costume that that Weta Workshop for him.
This movie was great! I knew you guys made the armors!
Spartan 818 not. At. All
John Smith what?
Love you guy's work!
awesome... great work Weta
Great job guys.....AMAZING!
Wow! I didn't know Weta worked on this movie! I looked for it in the credits but didn't see it... I saw that Dan Hennah worked on it though! This is so cool because it marries together my two favorite fandoms, Lord of the Rings and Marvel/The Thor movies. This totally makes sense though since Taika is a kiwi.
Wonderful ♥
00:20 shaggy?

how the hell can i join your team.. i'm dying for it.
Shooting 4 to 500 round of 223 out a ar15 without even reloading, kill this movie for me.
Kirby was king
Thank you Peter Jackson
The Grandmaster Guards looked like some strange Power Rangers to me (nothing negative).
You did a fantastic job there, costumes looked great in the movie.
For the movie itself, I think it's one of the worst Marvel movies because I was just annoyed by the bad jokes, will see if the jokes in the original version are better. (I saw it in german)
The Grandmaster's Guards were stright out of Kirby's Sketch Books and design physoply
xyoxus it is
Bad movie, good look
