PLEASE SHARE: Wonton, Noodle, Macaroni & Ravioli’s rescue story: Hope for Paws received a call about a family of homeless dogs. Most of them were easy to capture but one absolutely frightened puppy just ran as fast and as far as it could, into every possible space. We thought the family were a Mom and three puppies, but what we found is amazing.
With over 30,000 stray, abused, abandoned and homeless dogs in Los Angeles alone, we always encourage adoption as a first choice for a pet. :-)

***** The cat thing isn't necessarily true. I've had 3 male cats and several females who surrogate kittens (and I once had a female cat nurse newborn chihuahuas and chinchillas). While I obviously had to bottle feed kittens for the male cats, they took complete responsibility otherwise for cleaning the kittens and taking care of them.
FYI, I left my comment because this heartwarming video, like all Eldad's videos, made me so happy. I don't want to hear about horrific things like animals eating babies.

Hey, I was just trying to correct incorrect information. Male animals in a lot of species will help raise young, especially if they're their own, as they become even more protective of them. However in reference to your original statement Minarie, I bred rats and mice for years as snake food (not pleasant I know, but hey, snakes have to eat too), and the makes had to be removed from the tanks as soon as the females showed signs of being pregnant because on the few occasions that they were left in the cage, they would sometimes kill the babies when they were born. I've never once, in 7 years, seen a male rat or mouse take care of pups. So in that, you're also wrong. I'm not going to start an argument over maternal/paternal instincts on an amazing video like this, so I won't be responding back to any of your comments, just know that like John B. said, you should know what you're talking about before you post.

I’m one of a gaggle of daughters. We grew up with a loving and present father. We’re his puppies and like this dad, he did a great job raising us. I applaud this furry little dad.

Chimy Malm I live in Europe and my friends had tiny rabbit. They called him Paprikas, which means stew. He lived long and happy life! :D

I love how efficient Eldad is. He accepts events immediately. Dog disappears out of reach. "Okay," he says--all the time. This is so skillful. He never wastes any energy on emotional reactions. He accepts and does what is effective, over and over.
Eldad is right when he said, " A few moments of stress and fear leads way to a happy life." I think you all are awesome and Eldad is the true Dog Whisperer!!

Oh my, my cat was on my lap, When she grabbed the puppy he started yelping my cat got up and start growling and looking for the hurt puppy. He is a PTSD pet and is very sensitive to emotions. Had to reassure him the baby was ok. He watches your videos with me, this was the first puppy he reacted to.

As I watch this, I wonder, how can anyone NOT love a puppy?
In August of 1998, my friend called me saying he almost stepped on 2 itty, bitty kittens. They had crawled out from under his house & were lying at the bottom of his steps. As soon as I saw tbe 2 now 6 day old kittens, I knew who the mom was. A different neighbor who let a female cat run. As I was on my way to the store, I turned onto the busy road nearby. There was the mom, dead in the street! So instead of buying flowers to plant, I got kitten replacement milk & bottles. The 2 little ones were covered in sand, dirt, & fleas. Their eyes were still shut and their ears too. I had the vet check them out. He knew from my records, that I had a (neutered) male Rag Doll cat. He said to keep them separate or Benji might hurt or kill them. Benji knew they were in the house. He tried to sneak into the bathroom when I fed them. I went out to the store a few days later and my heart sunk as I saw the bathroom door was opened! I walked slowly to the door and peeked in--there was Benji, relaxing in the box with the 2 liitle babies curled next to him!! Samantha & Isabella became new members of the family. Sadly Samantha passed away in December 2010, but Isabella is now 17 and curled up next to me!

+kingsalar1 15 is a good age for them to get to, but they can live longer. My family had a cat who lived to about 19.5 (possibly 20. We based her arbitrary birthday on the minimum age estimate we were told she was, by the shelter: 1.5 years old). We had her euthanized when she had shrunk to just 4 lbs (her healthy weight was about 8-9 lbs), her kidneys were in total failure, and we were told she was in pain whenever she was awake (which was maybe one or two hours a day, at that point). She probably had a couple more days to live, but we couldn't let her suffer. My mother held her in a blanket, she was purring and at peace, and while the overdose of anaesthesia usually takes a little while to work, she went almost instantly. My father, the big gruff guy who originally swore he'd never be a cat person, was bawling his eyes out and had to go cry in the car.
Sorry, tangent... it's amazing how much they become a part of the family, though. Especially after so long. I still feel her presence, when I visit my parents. not in a ghostly sort of way, just in the memories of where she was typically situated sort of way. Like I can look at a spot and easily visualize her being there, peaking around the corner, guarding her domain. She had a very regal, commanding presence, our Tordi (longhaired dilute torti). She was like the family matriarch!
