Agree 100%. Usused to own a fetilization and lawn maintenence company. Best employees were those in from Mexico.
We checked their status with documents. I guarantee 80% of them were fake.
We didnt care. They were good workers and extremely dependable. They just wanted to work hard and send the money home to their families. All those taxes they paid stay right here in the system.
Its not an issue. We paid them well over minimum wage, and they came back to work for us for years.

It's a wage problem. No one wants to work at those wages. No employer wants to pay higher wage. No consumer wants to pay more for those products. The thing is everyone wants to point a finger at some other group, immigrants (legal or otherwise), chubby gamers etc. Not come up with workable solutions...look at the high end hospitality industry, they have multi year "temporary" work visas. (3 years is the longest) Mar a Lago has hundreds of these permits. My family owns a posh ski lodge on the rockies, we have hundreds of permits. Heck, their employee badge has a flag of their home country, with a caption in their home language, "si habla Español " as an example. Not all are from poor countries. Many from France, Germany, Finland Italy. Part of the permit is the wages have to be comparable and not under the minimum wage. Their are carve out in the immigration debate, but never talked about. I know Trump knows about the immigration carve out for high end hospitality, Trump is just playing us.

We lied to Mexicans living in the border states after the Mexican-American war. Told they’d become citizens, they lied. Ranches were stolen, mine claims were taken from them and they were deported despite living in those states long before our ancestors showed up. Later we let them come over to work and would send them right back. Texas Rangers started hunting “banditos” who were probably just the former citizens. This government owes so many populations from cruel treatment.

Ok, so you want criminals from other countries to come into the US and cause chaos, cause that is what will happen.
Additionally, this will increase hatred towards immigrants, via causing an increase in hate crimes towards innocent immigrants.
Yes, the immigration system needs a massive improvement, but we still need borders because there are actual immigrants that are criminals.

It says “500-700” ish to go through the citizenship process, but it really is just the app. Honestly, the field I work in, I see it range closer to 2k-10k with the right lawyer. Most people coming from a whole other country less fortunate from us is not likely to have that.
They could easily make this a working type of process. Provide temporary TINs, allow the number to allow employment, and once it’s ran, it can place a special kind of escrow to pay into citizenship.
So, you’re taxed for personal taxes, citizenship taxes, and you’re considered “legal” during your time transitioning. There’s a lot of easy solutions, but it they intend it to be a problem to fix.

If people are willing to work the physical hard labor jobs like construction, landscaping, housekeeping, and food harvest then let's make it easier for them to legally work in this country. First thing. To Even visit for sn extended stay in other countries, to get your visa, you need to show paperwork that you can support yourself during your stay. No they don't just let you in. But At the same time you can show up with your paperwork and begin the process. In the United States, you have to ILLEGALLY cross the border - JUST to get to the office to request anything including asylum because your life is At risk, which is a legal reason for entry, but because you have crossed illegally, this prevents you from getting through the process legally. It's insanity. If you don't want illegals, create a border crossing option. Other countries allow you to enter to get to a consulate entity where you can legally but safely be able to get through the paperwork process. Read the quote on the statue of Liberty and then look at the insanity of the paperwork process that most us citizens wouldn't be able to understand. To those who don't want illegals here, I'm wondering how much you really understand who does the low paying jobs you are to good to do? And once all the people are deported, how you think this country is going to keep functioning?

Most of the time it's idiot Americans hoping to make a profit in a corner somewhere in the states. Plus there was a bill that would have funded the border patrol enough to actually hire on the officers needed to watch specific entry points that are used for normal traffic. They would be able to find the multitude of tunnels they dig to sneak in with. If they are undocumented they aren't committing any crimes that would get them caught. Those that are dumb enough to do so, end up getting deported. Meanwhile they spend the money they make back into our local economies. They help smaller towns, in rural areas thrive most of the time. That was unquestionably a tragedy. But using that to shut out all immigration is wrong. I grew up on the south TX border where the Hispanic population, legal and otherwise, outnumbered us gringos. Tom is right. The vast majority just want to work and support their families, and the opportunities to do that are better here.

And how is a nation's sovereignty unprotected by immigrants?
Don't take a page from Goebbel's playbook, explain how people immigrating into this country(literally a country made and started by immigrants), hurts the countries' "sovereignty".
