- Gale, Wyll, Lae'zel, Shadowheart and Astarion are finding the road to Baldurs Gate is a challenging one. Everywhere one looks, there’s danger. Only recently, our Baldurs Gate 3 party came up against their greatest foe: a well-spoken frog. Oh, the horror, THE HORROR!
Our BG3 pals will not rest until they’ve taken down this beast, even if it means Astarion has to sell off his spleen. Needs must, as they say. Can our heroes go toe-to-toe with this monster and live to tell the tale?... well, probably, yeah. It’s a frog… but you’ll have to watch to find out!

Never have I seen a group of fans for a video game give so much love and attention to the main voice actors from that game. I'm glad to see them all get credit for bringing these characters to life.

Also quite the life that ftog had. Multiple stabs and still alive only after more stabs did it die.

This is quite literally exactly how I experienced this frog. I fought it once thinking it would be easy, I was demolished. Torn asunder. Utterly crushed. I came back the next day and I happened to have used a potion of animal speaking. The frog has been my dear friend ever since
I know these are from before the games release but I am *begging* for there to be more of these. This group has such a good dynamic and it really needs to be explored in more humorous situations like this- especially with how well the animators make everything look, and the voice actors make it all come together
The voice actors in this video were awesome and they fit each character perfectly. Also I didn’t see Karlach anywhere did she get lost or passed out drunk in a tavern?
It’s an old animation, and karlach wasn’t in the early access as full companion

@@Ziaotic DND/D&D is legendary for creating all the well known staples and tropes for RPG games as they are today. Its culture is also very popular in JRPGs which have gained tons of traction in the last 26 years. So even if you don't play DND titles, mostly all games today have evolved because of it. So for me, its crystal clear what's driving the hype.

I'd go for DLC, so long as the content provided can entice the attention needed to sell itself and help pay the people who spend time making this stuff.
In all fairness, DLC is entitled to a price tag for the sake of helping develop pay the bills and such.

I love that without the player character, Gale is the leader of the group. He is the real MVP.
I really feel like he is meant to be the MC even more so than Tav because of his backstory. Either Gale or the Dark Urge.

@@JohnPaul-my5vx urge outside of having his urges is described as someone very capable, dont read further if u havent completed the game or reachdd act 3.
Urge put the whole plan into motion ( 3 stones and brain) if u play as urge gorthas tells you it was your idea from the start. But then ur sister orin betrayed you and put a tadpole into ur skull, thats where u start the game.

Before you kill the hag, the frog is quite mentally unstable, and if you question him too much to long he attacks you. And he is surprisingly a strong foe (not like the hag, but you usually are prepared before facing her. This was quite unexpected)
I forget if I fought the hag before I encountered the frog but yeah, the frog is no joke.
@@marloncebo242 After it pretty much killed my entire party I reloaded my save and went to kill the hag instead....and I forgot about the frog 😅. I was playing today and went back and killed it after remembering it from watching this video lmao.

the frog turns hostile?? in my playthrough the frog was joyful and thankful towards me for killing the hag and gave me a reward (a ring or something like that), but no hostile dialogue, it was too cute

Different channels most likely, Larian published it first, then everyone else :)
The version you saw is still available on larian's RUclips channel with a couple of differences. There is no "long long ago" as when it came out originally, it was still in early access. The frog body at the end also isn't blurred in the original.

That frog did team wipe my party first time. Then the second time I thought I was smart and tried sniping it with magic missile and it reflected it back and killed Gale then after we just ran lol

That frog....toughest foe so far! I left it alone after reloading my first encounter with it then got the treasure later
grease plus firebolt was the only possible way to hit it while on top of that one log so he doesn't hit you back

Stuff like this is the reason I love Baldur's Gate 3 so much. Everyone here is just having fun!! All the fun!! This game is freaking awesome and everything about it shows how much love was really put into it. I have never had such a fun experience with a game before- and I'm so happy its with this game-

The frog was terrifying when I was just exploring around Act 1…
Dude ngl that frog pissed me off. He dodged my attacks 99% of the time. I just said "fuck it" and nuked his area with a lvl 4 fireball spell.
Yeah i got to this frog early and almost got my arse handed to me! I was like "The HELL?!!!"
That frog kicked my ass so bad in my first play-through.
