Bruno is getting so big. Blessings to y’all.
Your video reminded me of my dad. He lived just outside of a small town on 10 acres. He took a small rolloff, cuti it in half lengthwise, did some welding around the edges and reinforcements. That was his burn pit. Since it was metal, and Dad always had a hose readily available whenever he burned, it was safer than burning in a pile. Everyone around there would haul stuff to Dad's burn pit. Even though Dad had started a trash removal service and rolloff service for the small towns around there, Dad loved his burn pit. He had been a volunteer fireman for many years, so he took all precautions. Whenever he burned, he would always notify the town officials. Thank you for your video of some wonderful memories of my dad, who passed away several years ago at 85 years old. Shannon, it's always great to watch you work your tail off with a smile on your face. You both have such compassion for each other, your animals, your land, and your family. God bless you and thanks for sharing your life with us.
Oh, what a blessing to see you, Kyle and Shanon! It feels like things are getting back to "normal"! If you call having 50,000 "strangers " stalking your every move! 😂😂😂 BUT we're not strangers, we're family! After all that has been going on for months, it's wonderful to have "routine" back if that makes sense. We will PRAY ON for Grandpa, Grandma, for continued healing (physical, emotional, spiritual), peace, and strength. My parents were farmers. We had a huge two story, uninsulated house. Every fall my dad and brother had to get enough wood to heat our home for winter in Wis. Two man saw and hardwood. I never thought about how hard it was for them until i watched you cutting this tree up. I can appreciate them now. That was back in the 1950s.

In case you don't know already, please don't burn stumps that are still planted. Underground root fire can travel a ways and catch other trees on fire. Happen next door to my mom's property. Took firefighters 2 days to make sure the root fire was out.
This advise is soo true. This is how firers get out of control in our beautiful forrest in Arizona.

That is so true, and that is how forest fires can start in one place and pop up in other areas. (It happens here in California!)
@Og-Judy U are soo right because there is so much under brush in our forrest the firers with the winds & even lightening strikes take over move across burning so many thousands & thousands of acres.

Fire is soo beautiful,it can be deadly , but it is just beautiful ❤ Just like electricity, we just have to treat it,fire, with respect .
If you take a water hose up there with you next time so that you can water the area around the fire , and minimize the fire from burning down your woods! Just a tip. It only needs one little spark flying out of the fireplace to destroy your home.

Good job guys!! That is back breaking work and it brings me back to cleaning and burning for a couple of days. A fire we had was so high it was burning high branches of pine trees. We had water hoses ready but you are right a fire gets super hot. There is a since of accomplishment when it is done. Love you guys. Bruno is getting so big. He has turned out to be a very good dog with time spent well in training. Keep the channel coming.

Always use water to put out the little fires brought on by sparks as you never know when fire will run underground and come up in anothe area.
Cord of firewood can sell for around 300 +/- . Those Kyle is sawing now would be perfect.
Yes. Watching him toss near cord wood into the burn pile. 😬🤦 And smaller limbs is good for kindling. Cooler weather coming Grandma Doss be looking for firewood when it gonna start being colder at night. And Grandpa can't be doing no fireplace fire building either.

My dog is 15 and has gone deaf so it’s nice to have my E-collar to vibrate it to get her attention. FYI make sure to keep an eye on the animals around the hot ash pile my dog got serious burns from running into a hot ash pile not just on her feet but her tail, belly and private parts as well. She just ran into it and didn’t know what was happening so she just stood there screaming. She’s okay now but it took almost 2 months for the poor girl to fully recover 😢

Using your box blade will do better than trying to use your bucket. Also using a rake will help pull up your rocks then use the box blade, pull the rocks into a pile then pick them up with the loader. Have fun. 🤠🚜

Got a lot of work done today, the wood ash would be beneficial in the garden area. Please don't take this in a disrespectful way, but you have seemed a little shorter in breath in the past couple of videos. I know you have been through a lot lately emotionally, and hopefully things are getting better. But I also know some health conditions can be inherited, and from personal experience one of those is anxiety, it can cause all sorts of things to happen to you. This is just my observation, and bring this up out of concern, not trying to mean. Continued prayers for your family, God bless

Shannon, when the fire is all burned out have Kyle save some of the ashes because the ash and charcoal is good for the garden bed to mix in with your soil just a little helpful hint of gardening I save all my chicken manure in one of them disposable large Dumpster bags that the truck comes by and picks up I say one big cleaning out of the chicken pen and I let it sit for a year and then I put it into my garden and my garden beds are now about 24 inches tall and the amount of crops I get out of that God are incredible I use plastic barrels short stubby barrels to grow my potatoes and I have 10 of them and I’ve got a bout 30 pounds this year which isn’t bad last year I got more but this year the weather wasn’t with us it was just too hot, even though my garden is fenced in, I still put wire fencing around the raised beds. The raccoons and the rabbits are out of control around here 25 zucchini plants devastated by the animals my tomatoes I made 5 gallons of sauce that are in the freezer. Everything is put away for the winter there’s still a few things pumpkin squash pumpkin will go for pumpkin bread my dogs love the pumpkin also they very much enjoy their little bit of pumpkin every day. I noticed your garden was doing so beautiful earlier this year you get a pretty good crop off of that yourself for your first big garden. Not too bad young lady did a good job, wishing you all the love and prayers that everyone in the family stays healthy and the animals are stay healthy also 😂❤❤❤❤❤

you guys are so blessed with tree, i live on the reservation no tree no running water or power, winter is coming wishing for fire woods it bring tear to my eye watching branches being burn, i like watching your channel, i have a job in the city and live in the apartment, but my permit home where i was born and raise is on the Navajo reservation. love you two.

That oak is AMAZING firewood. Around here it goes for somewhere in the neighborhood of $500 a cord 4 X4X8. That is split and thrown off the truck.

Kyle has a lot of fun on his Zero Turn Lawnmower. Just like I did when I had mine. LOVED it. So much fun to drive. I’d even do the sides of our road just because I was having so much fun.
