Thanks so much. I have a 90hp G1 Etec and really had no idea if or what sort of display I could get on a Lowrance. Spent a lot of time searching and your 3 minute video showed it all.
I have everything working except the trim gauge, it works with the dash trim gauge but not on the lowrance. How do you get the trim gauge to work on the engine page?
after I sort out the cable lenght issue I want the trim displayed. I have been informed that a shunt must be installed at the ETEC I know what a battery shunt is it's inserted inbetween the negative of battery power. how is a shunt connected to the ETEC inbetween the negative of the trim motor so I can display trim. using a Raymarine eleent12HV thanks an excellent video nice display on that lowrance.
Perfect, thanks for posting, I love my ICON PRO SERIES gauges but nearly can see relevant data in the sunlight way too tiny and cumbersome for me, this is exactly what I am looking to purchase for my Etec 2015 135 HO.
I'm having a hard time finding a none 13' nmea 2000 (n2k) evinrude engine interface cable. I need just under 20' which I believe is the longest this cable can be. my GPS antenna come w/ a long cable about 15' so 15 an 13 equales 28' which is to long, are the ETEC cables available shorter? like 8 minus 13equales 5' I'd like a 5' NMEA cable but am only seeing the 13'. so I'm assuming the 13 is the only size so I'll have to find a 7' but I think there only available in even sizes.pls advise.
@@steveleston1848 You can extend the cable if needed. Nmea 2000 has a few different lengths. You can also put the T near the back of the boat and move the terminator and extend the backbone
Thanks for the video! I have a G1 250 and Raymarine Axiom. I was working on Nav lights and think i somehow shorted nmea network. Icommand gauges are blank and axiom is not showing any engine information. My question is where would i look for the fuse in a setup similar to what you showed. I looked under helm etc but cannot locate one.
That’s a tough question. There’s likely a backbone of T’s somewhere. One will have a power wire with a fuse on it. Could be near the battery, could be around the fuse panel at helm. It’s got to be somewhere, just need to locate it and there is no rule on where sadly
hello and congratulations for the video. I wanted to ask you, if on my 2008 e-tec 150 hp with nmea2000 interface I can only install lowrance or other instruments? thank you
Thanks for making such a simple no bs video! Very helpful. Considering going this route to view data on my 175 G1 Etec because I only have the analog rpm gauges currently. If I went this route, I'm assuming I would I have to by pass those analog gauges and only my Garmins? Or would this allow me to read RPM on both the finder and existing gauges? Thanks for any help!

With the G2 you should find a cluster of T's under your dash. if you have an mfd compatible with engine interface you could just add a T into there and connect it to your mfd. You can likely set up fuel consumed as your fuel level. With your fuel sending unit on the tank it would depend if it is a digital or analog sending unit to get it connected to NMEA 2000. More then likely you can plug an old network into a new unit. NMEA is a standard cord so I can't see why not.

I think it will work with the 2010. As long as it is an etec and has the connection. Any brand cable will work. This one was a Lowrance brand.

Do the nmea2000 cables work with 2010 200hp etec motors?
They will work with any etec engine. The interface cable is getting harder to find though.
That is really cool! Did you borrow the car wash for this video? HAHA.
The boat owner owns the building with the car wash and that's where he wanted to do the work. Was nice to have all the space to work in
how is the nema cable connected to the etec?
He has the Evinrude interface NMEA 2000 cable

There are a few options with NMEA. There’s a fuel flow sensor or a fluid level sensor. Nothing with a sending unit though
