It’s interesting to watch Etce’s progression with ACNH.
- Amazed by flowers, catching bugs, and fish
-Gets DESTROYED by discovering Maple but not being able to take her because those are the rules
-Etce breaking the rules during Villager hunts
-Etce having a bunch of normal villagers
-Etce Side B jailing his villagers
-Etce A banishing Etce B to Banishment
-Etce B coming to back to Filestar
-Etce A and Etce B unifying to become a business person
-Etce destroying his island and then rebuilding it
-Etce leaving Filestar and starting a new island
-Amazed by flowers (white flowers), bugs (specifically that pink mantis) and catching fish.

The dilemma of the century.
If you hold a net and shake the trees from the front your character will turn to face the wasps and if you smash A immediately you'll catch it reliably. Barring any weeds or flowers that make the nest bounce weirdly.

Per the rocks question - yep you have it right. I used fences to control where my rocks spawned because no rocks can spawn where a fence exists or any of the squares immediately around that fence. One fence piece blocks off a 3x3 spot on your island for rock respawn. It WAS super tedious and all the folks who came over to my island while it was covered in fences thought I was nuts. Love my zen garden though!
Tips for anyone trying it - use the fences to block off chunks of your island and then custom patterns to block out individual spaces that you don't want rocks to spawn. Make sure that the terrain under the spot the rock will spawn is what you want as you cannot terraform what is under the rock after it pops up. For me I wanted sand so I made sure there was only one spot a day that a rock could respawn and that it was terraformed as sand. Also rocks respawn as one of I think five random shapes - if you get too many of the same shape you can break the rock again and it will respawn the next day as one of the random shapes (including possibly the same one).

I used a hoard of mankins at least when I changed custom designs they would all disappear and created a small rock garden... My villagers just stared at them confused though...

When I moved all of my rocks into my zen garden, I had to put down a mannequin at every two squares. My island was lagging *real* hard XD
LOL mine became a 5 star island when i was doing that and everything looked straight out of a nightmare

I have a rock area and yes. You have to cover the entire island with a grid of mannequins or furniture. It is indeed very tedious.
It took me a month and a half cause I didn't time travel and they kept spawning in my flower breeding areas.
(Edit:I mostly used dots of water with two spaces inbetween)

Words can't describe how much I love watching your ACNH vids
I didn't want to get my hopes up that you had posted when I booted up my RUclips. But man, when I immediately saw Etce in his cute outfit, a burst of happiness through through me :)
About fossils: If you dig up all the fossils you get four each day. If you don't dig up any, an extra fossil spawns in, and then another the day after. If you dig up some fossils on any given day, up to 4 fossils will spawn the next day (your island can have a maximum of 6 fossils buried at a time)
yeah so basically you cover every spot on your island with a blank mannequin design - then once your rocks have spawned into the desired spots - you just delete the design, which deletes the mannequins as well.
there's a few good videos on youtube that shows you how the rock spawn work.
The way people lay their rocks out is by covering all the available spots in mannequins so that they spawn in the correct spot, once you’re done you can change the design on the mannequin and they will all vanish.
This series is the only thing keeping me sane

If you hold a net while you shake trees as soon as a wasp nest falls out swing your net and you're safe. You do have to stand with your character's body lined up with the trunk while facing it though.

Little advice about the trees that hold furniture! If you go to a nook miles island, there will be one furniture there unless it is a fruit tree island! It’s much easier and much more accessible, they also don’t spawn in fruit trees!
Weeds actually don’t affect your ratings at all so you can have as many weeds or as few as you like
Giving villagers items takes up their space of items for their homes; the best thing to give them is wrapped fruit. They won’t show it in their house but it counts as a gift and you can earn friendship points. Plus all it will cost is the cost of the wrapping paper.
4:04 I have a rock garden on my island. I don’t have them in extremely specific spots, just in a general area. I broke the three rocks that weren’t in the area and then broke the rocks that spawned until they spawned in that area (two spawned in the road, but c’est la vie). It took, like a month, and I used the stones I accumulated to craft stone furniture to decorate it and created stone paths winding through it.

Make your island only have fruit and pine trees, then the wasps/item drop/money will only spawn from the pine trees. Then when its cherry blossom season plant normal trees so you have the pink trees.

Hey Etce I think you get a Nook Miles' goal for breaking a ballon over water, plus one for getting stung by wasps twice in a row so... time to face your demons HEHE
Etce if you stand close enough to a tree with a net in your hand you can still shake it. Just make sure you’re in a position where you will be able to capture the wasps when they appear. ALSO if you catch 5 wasps in a row you’ll get a Nook Miles Achievement!

Yep to move rocks into a pattern you want them to spawn, you have to cover the island in items (usually mannequins since you can delete them all at once afterwards) and then wait or time travel six days. It is very tedious and I have done it three times because I hate myself.
I got my rocks aligned. Never. Again. You have to cover every other tile over your entire island except for the spots you want your rocks. The only time I time-traveled because for several days I kept finding spots I missed. Lost around a mil worth of turnips.
If you have your net equipped as you shake a tree, you can spam A if you get wasps and almost always catch them

you can dig up the money tree sprouts to move them somewhere else
There is an achievement for having a balloon present fall into the water. So you’ll want to do that at some point.

I really like these short little uploads!
They cover their island with mannequins kind of like how you closed off your island that one time. Only you dont need them in EVERY spot.

There are four fossils on your island each day, not five. If you don't dig them up one day the next day will spawn in two more, the cap of buried fossils is six so this can also be used to stop fossils from spawning if you no longer want them. Bury six unassessed fossils somewhere hidden and voila, no more will spawn until you dig them up.
