It’s essential to travel to Bulgaria before purchasing a house. Only then can you truly gauge the Housing market and prices. I’ve lived in Bulgaria for 5 years and would whole heartedly recommend it to anyone wanting a life here.
I can see somebody growing plants and animals and offering AirB&B with organic food and beautiful nature. This could be completely self sustainable with some solar panels and wood burning stoves. The price is low even if it’s in British currency.
The interior staircase is a big bonus. How is roof? It doesn't appear as if ceilings had any damage although it's hard to tell with video. Original windows could easily be repaired if you know how to replace glass and do the glazing (simple), but perhaps a good idea to upgrade for insulation. I love the original floors and ceilings. Plaster repair is not a major issue. It's kind of the same condition that my 3-story grandparents' house was when I purchased it and restored it a decade ago. Might get cold in the winter trying to heat the whole things, so wood burner with zones that can be shut down to just the first floor would be perfect. I always wonder about what families used for toilets and showers? Is there a separate space? I know some places have outside toilet and old septic. If not, I would put in a gray water drain to a garden set-up for shower and kitchen sink water, and use a composting toilet. Is there a well or tap into communal water?
Hi Kim, thanks for watching and commenting 👍 Structurally, the property is in fantastic condition. The roof is in good order, but will require a few replacement tiles. Internally there is no water damage. Ceiling heights are high, even in the cellar (would make a great wine cellar). A deep bore hole is at the rear of the property and provides free water in all seasons. The original floors, doors and windows could certainly be salvaged and repaired. Views from the property and land are lovely- the main portion of the garden is terraced, as are 2 of the barns. The larger part of the land has a gentle slope and many trees- the soil is very fertile.
@@ourderelictdream that's a fair price for all of that. You did an excellent 'showing'. I'm not going to be able to get over there till next spring to look at properties like this but I'll keep my eyes on your channel! Thanks
I hope you find a buyer, but unless it's a VERY handy Englishman... There is a lot of work for the asking price You have to redo the "holes" floors the cracked walls, a sign of the structure which has moved, electricity, water networks, etc. everything has to be created to modern standards... And that even in Bulgaria at a cost... It will take time and money, which means that even for a handyman... the slice for these houses located in remote corners (see google street wiew) and between 9000 and 12000 euros (Anyone can check that...) Buying is VERY easy it's after which is getting complicated...
Not sure why the buyer needs to be an Englishman? The asking price equates to just over 3 euros a square metre- this is less than agricultural land in the area, let alone a plot with a solid house, bore hole and barns. Finished properties in the area are fetching 150k plus (anyone can check that) Please do let us know of these 9-12k properties in that area, as I'll buy them myself 👍 Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
The big one and all the land is fabulous all that stone the house the barns the walls. People over modernise these old houses they are perfectly imperfect ! Love watching your videos.

Yes! Glad you have spotted that 😊
How much is the tax yearly if I buy this property and declare it the full price of 29k ?
If you mean yearly municipality/government taxes, it will be around 50lv/25 euros per year 👍
Is that in Lev?
The price shown is in euros 👍
I think a voice over might be helpful?
You are right and we do plan to do these in the future! Thank you
