Was just here for my bday on Wednesday had NO IDEA this was Matty's place lol. The mussels and molasses bread were crazy good so was the prime rib and the insane layered potato cube thingies lol. The star of the night for us was the lobster spaghetti though! So good can't wait to go back and try more. Really nice cozy and chill atmosphere!

Went there for dinner. Food was pretty good but price tag was just little too high for the quality & portion you get. And believe me that I been to good numbers of $$$$ places in my life so I'm pretty comfortable with high price tag but this place, I can't say it was justifiable. Also, this place has serious lack of seafood menu for PRIME SEAFOOD restaurant. Except for few hiccups, service was pretty smooth. Wine menu was high end for sure. There were some affordable price range wines but all sold out 😅

Holy $hi+ that is some really high end delicious cooking made with fresh ingredients, but done in a tasteful way that keeps it simple yet elegant but not pretentious.

Fully agreed on simplifying ingredients. Too many flavors often clash and subdue each other. Been trying to make the perfect peanut butter shake; and i finally landed on these mostly homemade ingredients: vanilla bean ice cream, caramel, banana, and peanut butter (add a weeee bit of spiced brandy or rum for an even better experience.)

@@spacebar9733 k, you responded to me, so I presumed you had issue with my initial comment. Matty deserves to get paid for his work - I have no problem with sponsored videos as long as it's a minor part and I don't see outright lies.
When restaurants started, you had bio-organic stuff growing in your back yard. So they had to add on complicated things, which nobody would do at home, adding on more and more complex ingredients on top of each other to get that "wow" effect out of you.
Nowadays, most of us don't have a back yard. And supermarket produce is hot trash, but with less smell and almost no taste.
So top restaurants serve simple food from ingredients, freshly plucked from their back yard. That way we went full circle and a step back.
proof again that Canadians are the nicest people. My mom is from Oshawa. Can't wait to eat here when I visit next spring.
