I would get both, and put white stripes on the hood and trunk of the blue one.. First thought about the tire rub. I would put a piece of black electrical tape on the underside of each wheel well. Another great product and honest review 👌
Shoe Goo on the inside of the body right above the tires will protect the paint job. Also apply it where the nerf bars and body mounts contact the body. It'll reinforce the body in high stress areas as well protect the paint. It's a rubberized coating that dries clear. I've used it for years on crawler/scalers as well as SC bodies.
If I understand right, the body mounts are adjustable so you can raise the body a little to reduce the tire rub. Yes, stripe it and a Power Patch on the Raised Hood Cowl would be sweet.
Wow, this car looks fantastic. I have the Vaterra '69 Camaro but this one looks better. Only thing I would change is to add chrome trim around the windows. I agree Nate, white rally stripes would look very cool or even the hockey stick stripes along the sides like the original car. Very cool RC overall. thanks for the great review.
Just a note for anyone that is thinking about getting involved in No Prep Drag Racing...1st of all, Good for you. 2nd. Most No Prep clubs around the US only allow a 2s 8.44volt max single pack battery. So check your local club rules 1st to be sure.
Setting shock collars down a bit will help with both tire rub and body scrape. Faster top speeds will need more preload. Send the body out for paint. murdered flat black with flames coming from the front would be epic.
Great car, need to do a 132 foot run though. Scale quarter mile . To get real sense of what it can do . Long runs are awesome don't get me wrong. A lot of us are in the no prep scene , we liked to see what kind of numbers the car is putting out in race rules fashion on 2s. Thank you for doing this video it for sure is an awesome car. I really would like to have seen Nate do another run after Abby's runs. I think it is possible that Nate's runs wore things in a little which contributed to Abby's 60 mph run.

It's listed as 2s because that is the limit when competing in No Prep drag racing. Also, rules don't allow any Active electronic control help. Cheers!
Nice tips 👍
Does a burnout help with traction on these cars?
Yes burnouts help a whole lot we do it with a piece of carpet to keep them clean or on the concrete to get them hot big help on launch
That wind made it look like the car was actually running on that close up shot
Ya rite. I thought it was a nitro for a sec
They suggest putting tape inside the wheel wells to prevent marring the paint... I cannot wait for mine to get here...
On all street elim or any rubber tire setups. The rubber tires always balloon.
Well aren't you just the paint saving grace. Great idea bravo!!!!!

You should have tested it with a 2s lipo only since that's the rules for the no prep drag racing and in 132 feet, that's what matters
