  • There's NO automatic invert switches for this one. I love this heli and that's why I'm showing you how it can be flown for fun, and with no gears. It really would hold up in some unfortunate crashes. Thanks, kindly for watching. Please subscribe, and God Bless you. ~Dave

    I have enjoyed your channel for some time now and have always liked your appreciation for vintage helis. This would especially include the Hyperfly. Thanks for the videos.

    Kids and their fancy inverted flight. Back in the day, small copters didn’t have a gyro. Men were men and women were women. Thank goodness for that. Flying was really tough. Even with calm wind, as the battery faded the trim was constantly being adjusted. The trick was to stay level and keep from spinning out of control.

      I'm a 77 year old kid then and have many old vintage helicopters that I am flying one by one at my age...just one more time on RUclips, cause at this age, you never know!
      Those are lumbering old machines that I also love, but for sure, I like the fact that I can still fly inverted with my brain, and belong to that special club. I also have many videos of me flying my helis without gyros, when they were introduced by Futaba. This was when I worked at Kraft RC in Vista, Ca in the 70's) Even my 1 bladed Hammer Head Nexus has no gyro and all can be seen on my channel for reference.

    Hello. i saw another vdo of yours on the direct drive helicopter. ienjoued, and it stays through n my mind. I tried to get into this hobby when i was a teenager. i couldn't afford the gear, so i built my own tx and rx from a kit. My glider's maden flight was into the side of a Welsh mountain. Years later, technology has moved on, and again i find myself wanting to fly a model. I look live in Asia, so my choices are limited. Can you recommend any modestly priced gear, and where I shpuld begin.
    From a physics point of view i don't understand the inverted flight. is the rotor pitch swapped over?
    🙏

      @NightFlyyer  Месяц назад

      Right on. Welcome back. When you fly inverted, the motor speed is locked at full. Then the throttle stick also controls pitch, so full down on the stick reverses the pitch on the main rotor blades. All other controls are backwards as well, rudder and elevator, so that is what the mind has to remember when inverted. I recommend a good simulator, like Aerofly on Steam. Like real pilots, sims are always the first thing they actually fly. Otherwise, over there in Asia, there is HobbyKing.com or AliExpress.com. There are many inexpensive starter planes there. Then there is HorizonHobby, here. They also have many small helis to learn on. Thanks a lot, and good luck.
