Folks. It is a damned shame Katie doesn’t have 500k subscribers. I personally have learned many good tips from here even though i am in my 60s. If you watched her more than once please subscribe…it won’t kill you. Even share ! This is not a sponsored comment i do not know Katie but have watched lots of her videos
Great vid!. Not everyone wants their legs smashed to bits every ride sometimes it's great just to bimble about looking at the scenery just being out on the bike.
As someone who's training ground is the dales I can absolutely reciprocate the fact that everyone should have the chance to ride in the dales. They are amazing!
I ride at 'up hill'.
One day I'll try the other leg.
Look Mum, I’m famous. 🤟👍👏
Proper cycling cyclists and great video to show it’s not all head down 👌👍🚴♂️✊🏻 well done Katie
I got two Yorkshire Dales National Park jerseys I bought in Grassington. You rode past my wife's relative's farm in Kilnsey. Greetings from Colorado.
Great vlog Katie
Good vibes Good views
You mention the Dales as much as you like ! :)
Few Dale walks on TV recently, looked amazin, really peaceful. Ideal for some unwinding head space :)
☀️

Great video and awesome to see Scott from “cycling the nation” out with you!!
🚴🏼♀️💨🚴🏼♂️💨

I’ve been and as lovely as it is you can’t beat the green hills and views in the English countryside :)

Glad there was minimal rain, I had rain on all 3 recent events in Australia on my channel, 2 muddy gravel rides & a 120km road, definitely makes you appreciate it if the weather is fine 😊
Hello Katie. Love the video of the ride. I have watched most if not all of your videos and love your enthusiasm and fun nature. It was nice to meet you outside the cycle shop yesterday. Sorry that I never properly introduced myself or stayed too long but my wife needed the ladies.
As I indicated, I have not ridden for about 15 years and have put on lots of weight and my bike is in bits in the shed. I am full of what I am going to do but never get round to it.
Not sure that I would have kept up on a ride like that either 😀 My bike is an hybrid as I like doing a bit of road and gravel and have an upright position rather than dropped bars. I do want to get back out there and am planning on doing so in my retirement.
Katie it’s lovely to see you riding with this lovely group but where I live one of my friends meets with a large group every week and said oh its great fun you should come and join us but when I said my husband and I rides e-bikes he immediately said oh I don’t think the group leader would let
You in sorry! How un-inclusive is that! It’s putting me off cycling. Most people we See don’t say hi and if they realise we are on an ebike make stupid comments. Even one of my close friends on strava the other day (after I’d finished a long ride of over 62 miles) said “wow that’s a good ride but hope Your battery lasted!” My bike weighs over 14kg I only use the assistance when i struggle up a hill! Sorry to rant Katie, I love all your videos just fed up of negativity ☹️🤯😊
Definitely be up for group social rides with you Katie, could do both road and gravel rides to cater for different riders
I never have a plan, I always ride to vibe and feel of the legs
Great video, as usual. My Mother used to tease me that I wasn't that sweet and I wouldn't melt in the rain.
I don't always have a plan A
🤣🤣🤣
Great comment.. i am a fair weather rider. If it rains while i am out though its ok. My legs tell me how far and fast to go
Katie points up and says "Blue Sky! 🙌" I look carefully at my iPad screen and see a pure white sky filled with clouds. And that, friends, was today's most important lesson from Katie. In the end, your reality is what you chose it to be. Seize the day. Choose beauty.
There actually was the smallllllest bit of blue sky haha but yes always see the beauty for sure :)

Turned out nice again! Ace to see you again, thanks for the brew and butty!
Need to nick this route, looks unreal 😊
Excellent. Some of my favourite cycling roads on that ride. Glad you enjoyed.
Really enjoyed riding with you 👍 Still can't remember the name of that stabby climb 😂😂
I'm going to Yorkshire/Scotland for holiday this year and now i totally started thinking about getting away from the family for a day, rent a bike somewhere, and just cycle this route. Can one rent a bike+maybe shoes somewhere around the Dales?
It all came good in the end … yay! If I’m not having fun on my bike it’s cuz I’m doing it wrong. Well done Ducky! 🚴♂️🚴♂️🚴♂️🐑😄
Looks like a fantastic group of people that does! Must try Yorkshire looks great roads
If you wanna see some sheep, just ride past the polling stations on election day 😂
Ok Clarkson
Have you stepped up your editing game for this video Katie? It looks good!
From where I was at the same time over in Kirby Lonsdale it was sunny & dry you could see to the east it looked wild that way , mad how the weather can differ from not far away 😮
i live on the other side off the north sea i know where you dont need to look to and its the weather forecast if you look to this you wil go no where
and there ist not the shitty rain its the bad clothing we ware if we go out like maniaks be prepared
I liked the rock (about 4min in).
and even better u dont have the shite uk weather lol!!

Great video as always! And lovely weather. ❤
Another great video, and I have a random question you must have been asked before as a Garmin ambasador. What Garmin watch works best for cycling? I currently have a fitbit, but have been looking at the Garmin range and its overwhelming! I ride gravel & MTB and use a Garmin edge 530 so it would be good to use a Garmin watch too.
Yes go for it! So... this is a big question as it depends on so many factors such as what functions you want it to have - map for example, and also budget for it. Personally I have tried several and for my needs - which is mainly running and the sleep functions and data I love the Vivoactive 5 - as it's smaller for my small wrists. But my friends Stevie and Phil - both cyclists also have the Fenix 7 Pro which they LOVE!!! I personally love the torch on there too. They are bigger and do wayyyyy more than mine so it totally depends what you are wanting it for. Are you needing it to replace your head unit or as well as?
@@KatieKookaburra Not especially as I do like to glance down at the head unit to see where im going and it links in with my fazua system so I can see how my assist and battery are doing.
But I do like the idea of maps for walks and other bits and bobs. I was looking at the fenix 7s or x, although the s looks nice lol.
I have the Fenix 7 Pro as Katie mentioned. I have come from an Apple watch and much prefer the Garmin. It is fairly new so I haven’t used all the features, there are a lot, but the standout things for me are; ability to broadcast heart rate from the watch to the head unit, sleep tracking and body battery along with training readiness. Also like that I can track walks and gym workouts. The torch is excellent and something I use a lot, which I wasn’t expecting. I wear the watch all the time, other than when it is charging, and I love all the data it gives me when synced with the Connect app. The battery is also amazing, I can go two weeks between charges. It isn’t cheap but there are some deals to be had. There is loads of functionality I am yet to explore, but for me it does all I want and more. Would highly recommend.
@@StevieJD74 thanks for the advice and @katiekookaburra I've just got a cracking deal on the Fenix 7 pro saphire solar, like you say there's a lot to get your head round but so far very impressed I've just tracked my first ride on it and the data is amazing compared to my edge 530, although I do like the head unit, I shall have to try broadcasting the heart rate see how that looks. Thanks again.
That is great news. I hope you enjoy the new watch and that all the features help you in your activities.
There is no way you can get away eating a Trek bar in Katie’s company without sharing!!! Great video and ride. Wish I could have made it.
Especially when she's not tried that flavour!
sparkling even in the rain
Stone walls are wonderful
You look younger every year
Not sure if others relate but here we have snow more than half of the year and another few months with snow storms and rains… so… love the sun. 🌞
