Beautiful dial.. Gorgeous case.. Fantastic bracelet.. My best complication is "No Date"... I love this piece and I dont care if the movement is a 7s26 upgraded.
If I were to limit myself to one watch and at this price range it would be a Sinn 105/856, tegimented tough, decent movement, readability, COSC level regulation, and some with GMT/UTC function. But I know it's a vastly different style (dress vs. utility) and lifestyle.
At first glance it reminded me of my sarb033. Prefer the no date on this one along with the bracelet though. Great looking watch. At close to 1700 US $ I'm not sure on it. Seeing one in person would help but that's not always possible. And the watch community on RUclips with channels like yours have helped me an many others in pulling the trigger on ordering on line. Much appreciated 🙏 Closet place for Sinn in the US is 2500+ miles away, and the same for Fortis. Not sure if the Fortis dealer actually has any in stock though. Thanks for the great review here! Cheers
Interesting, this looks nicer on video than it does in pictures. I'm sure these will sell well, but they sure picked a competitive price point, and I couldn't justify paying the MSRP on this.
Its a stunning dial for sure , I think Seiko won't to stop dealers giving out discount on there models as there trying to push them selfs up the ladder
I'd be curious to buy one, but I think I'd still prefer my GS quartz, which has such incredibly beautiful finishing all over it, plus a superior movement, for only a few hundred bucks more.
I've been told Seiko are going to push GS even higher so making them more expensive plus dropping some of there lower price quartz models to stop this very thing Sir
@@ClickSpringReview That makes a lot of sense actually. Would be a shame to lose the SBGX's, being a more affordable entry point to GS, but I think it would make sense concentrate on mechanical movements and reserve their amazing HAQ's for special pieces.
I was glad Seiko only produce GS making out of production KS more collectible for me. Meaning a new KS is no longer available unlike GS. But now they resurrected the King.
Your going to see less low end GS because because of this , Seiko are planning to rise the level of there watches to £500 or more anything less will be part of the Seiko 5 range
Like the watch but hate Seiko's branding/marketing. Last year I almost bought the supposedly limited, 140th anniversary SJE083 King Seiko. Loved Zaratsu polishing but not impressed with 6L35 movement, and suspected Seiko might cheapen the King Seiko brand with more/cheaper watches. Anyhow at this price point I would look hard at some quartz GS (thanks to great exchange rate too) with great movement precision, nicer polishing, nicer dials and GS branding.
I bought one of those SJE083 and sent it back due to a fault with the case - it has a raised rough lump of the top of one of the lugs. Also, when examined under a loope the dial had various imperfections with the dial furniture and miss-prints which you don't get with Grand Seiko. I honestly don't think it's worth the money and an entry level GS mechincal is a world apart in terms of quality. I'd definitely need to see this new model in the metal before buying one, though I'm seeing as more of replacement for the SARB series of watches than a continuation of the King Seiko line.

@@ClickSpringReview I believe it. I also think that long term, the strategy will be to phase out the first generation of modern GS mechincal movements from GS line, using them instead for the top grade of 'Seiko' branded watches. This is already underway with limited editions and certain Prospex which have received the automatic calibre and spring drive, with minor differences to finishing and not being regulated to the same standard (though SD began as a 'Seiko' product before it became associated with GS). The GS watches with the latest GS calibres are significantly more expensive than the previous ones. The newer movements are objectively better and slimmer, but the brand is repositioning itself up market and quickly ceasing to be an affordable watch. Some of their entry level watches have been largely unchanged for about 20-years and perhaps don't fit their new image, I can see some of these becoming JDM models and a more focused proposition being sold overseas.

👍🏻
If you were looking for a one watch collection and had that kind of discipline this works a treat.
I think beautiful looking watch I just wish they made it a little bigger say 39mm

@@1millionstartups Yes, likewise I would choose a Sinn 🙂

Thanks Wikster good of you to say Sir 😊
What a beauty
It is a pretty watch but I'm not sure about Seiko being on the dial twice Sir
Excellent review.
Thank you very kindly Enrique

Is it one of those limited numbers release?
No this is a on going release Carlo
@@ClickSpringReview great then. I could still save up for it 😊

not sure about the double branding on the dial
Now you mention it your right 🤦🏻♂️

Kinda pricey
Its borderline your right
Its better if they dont put seiko logo on top just put KS like the GS grand seiko😃
Yeah I can't understand why they but Seiko twice on the dial ??
