I've had this soundtrack on my iTunes, evidently, for about five years.
Still a delight whenever it shuffles on.
your a great director man you got some great shots very graphic and very funny.
i can tell you put time into this so i applaud you
hahahaha the eddie vedder impressions are hilarious.
i loved into the wild and but this video was exelent and very funny
Hey man, I was in a bad way when I wrote that comment. I was runnin' all over the tubes writing whatever the fuck. I can't tell you how many dislikes I amassed. It's a miracle I'm still alive. Crazy days man, I'm just glad I made it out intact.
Marian Gaborik isn't fictional? I can tell by the comments... this makes it even funnier.
How dare us. For now on, we will only parody those who actually prepare for journeys into the wilderness. Them potato roots just don't cut it like a nice pot pie.
This is a really good parody of Into the wild, it shows that the creators knew the raw material pretty well (narrative, editing, set ,etc). I watched Into the wild few times, I'm not a big fan of it, but I respect it as a story which is very hard to turn into a movie. And this one is hilarious.
Into The Wild is my favorite movie/book. and the story of Chris is sad.
but this is pretty damn funny
@kaitandev i also envy people who die alone in the woods out of stupidity, scarring his family for the rest of their lives
I die with faux Eddie Vedder!
YES. Nice Eddie Vedder haha.
This video has the longest comments......and most of them have nothing to do with the video... !!!?
Thought I'd add a short one that accomplishes much of the same.
Didn't really find it that amusing as a parody, but it was at least good quality video.
@bigchief70 when you are in your 20's you are a kid. I've already lived 2 of your lives chronologically, plus. 24 years old is nothing in this day and age. A 24 year old kid in equivilent to a 14 year old kid of the old days. Today males in their 20's are far more under developed emotionally, and intellectually and psychologically. They are pampered little babies. 1 single problem of taking away an xbox can cause a kid to be put on anti-depression medication, that is how bad it is today
@bigchief70 Can you imagine how his mother lived the rest of her life with depression on what she could have done differently? You see, none of it is funny, none of it at all. It may be trendy to find humor in the pain of other people, but when you have children, and you wake up and your child is gone, you will know what it means to experience great loss. Anyone who pokes fun at the tragedy of someone else's loss is disgusting. You can think what you like. Just know your actions will haunt you.
@bigchief70 I don't surround myself, because I don't need ego feed. I gave you my view point from the start, and It hasn't changed. Here it is again, in English. I don't find it humorous in making a parody of what is obviously a tragic story of a boy who didn't live out his life to his fullest, and would have done more when he fully matured. You era doesn't find anything wrong with finding humor in someone else's tragedy. I bet his mother never ever got over her mistakes.
@bigchief70 I have a great time laughing when something is actually funny, but apparently you get offended when people don't laugh at something that is based purely off a movie about a boy who died all alone by himself. Apparently that's funny to you, or somewhat humorous. It shows how kids your age in this era have become unfeeling sociopaths. Maybe oneday when you actually experience something truly tragic you know
@bigchief70 Hey it's now anyone's problem that you find humor in the death and tragedy of other people. Not everyone is like you, and most kids your age think as long as it happens to other people, it's funny and ok. As for books, I've read more book then you ever could read. As for life experience? It wasn't depression you felt, but the pressure of having real life interfere with your immaturity.
@bigc you don't get it, I don't have to answer any of your questions. By answering your questions, I am playing into the games that children play, and trust me, I am not playing your game. The kid in the movie, I feel would have returned to his parents once he discovered of life, what he needed to. He was just taken before his time, and really was full of life. Chris qualifies as a kid because he didn't really know the true dangers he was in, or what real life responsibility is, just like you
@bigc again, this is really how you qualify as a child. Rather then take responsibility for your inappropriate behaviour on constantly trivializing the death of someone by laughing at a parody on a 24 year olds life that was lost in the woods alone, you sit here and continue on in desparation trying to find some tiny thing that can make your ignorant rhetoric make sense. Face it, when you can actually feel for another human being fully, and understand what is truly correct, you may have grown up
@bigchief70 Great, and as a result of all that you still take time to poke fun at a kid who, and yes, he was a kid, that left his parent who made him into something he wasn't, and then died alone in a bus. Feel better now? Great, you've been through all that and you find a video funny that makes a parody of a tragic situation. Wow, what an accompishment. What's next, you gonna laugh at some kid being cruel to his cat next? Look in the mirror and stop talking.
I really enjoy the fact that you keep criticizing me on my age while you take the "High Road" that more "Mature" people are supposed to take and yet you've resorted to name-calling. You're about as grown up as my 5 year old god son. I've done more with my life than most 20 year olds have. I've traveled the world, i've fought an mma fight, i've survived a horrible bout of depression without the use of anti-depressants, i've done the whole college thing and for the moment i'm ok with that.
@bigchief70 As for my age? I know it's typical of kids your age to always look down upon people who are outside the brackets between the age of 17 to 27, as it is one of the ignorant factors of being a kid your age. All you have is mouth, and no heart or feeling for another person except yourself. Yes, and you do owe the world something, it owes you nothing. You earn your way in this life and not the other way round.
Good GOD!! This is amazing! -- The soundtrack's so amazingly badgood that I have it on a CD. Epic.
@bigchief70 Shotokan. Secondly, this is not a contest that kids play where whoever gets the last word wins. I'm not playing with you, so you can go convince someone else of your rhetoric cause I'm not really that interested. In fact you are lulling me to sleep, and past being bored. Go do something instead of working your mouth.
oh really? You could've fooled me, its not like you haven't been responding to each and every one of my posts. It appears you have more than ample time. So much so that as an "Adult" you've found time to argue with a "kid" on RUclips...good job. I can see you've been working on practicing what you preach.
Did you at least download the fake soundtrack? It's a good folkie time.
D....and .....G...and E I think? I made like, 20 of these Eddie Vedder songs for this project. Want 'em?
@bigchief70 Whatever you say. You can think what you like, I am not going to agree with you or waste anymore time with you. I state facts, and you try to justify your disgusting immoral take on what is humorous.
This movie isnt making fun of or disrespecting McCandless directly in any way, its just making fun of how Penn chose to portray the story. If Chris were around, I bet he'd have a chuckle at it.
I don't give a damn what these people say. Good stuff again. We really need to get together, cuz G-boro rocks on short skits too. I know he died, but this is a spoof of a movie, not a man.
if you that much of a hockey fan that you can not take a joke then you should get some help. Also we don't care that you won't promote his video...
and one thats how you pot pie THE RIGHT WAY
FatnYummy it's Pot Piegosh darnit! I'm from Minnesota originally and this is fucking hilarious - obsession with Marion Gaborik, the accent, those fucking shorts hahahahahaha - love it
@bigchief70 What I can do in 8 minutes, you can't do in 2 hours. All you do is talk and try to con people and convince people, but no one really cares, do you get it?
God Darnit thats a good pot pie...GOD DARNIT!!! A TRILLION TIMES BETTER THAN ANY POT PIE!! 1:30 into it, fucking hilarious! Ohhh and the music is genius...assclown.
i'm a diffrent person but i'm not to glad about this video because ya know you probably wouldn't want some one to make fun of your dead son if you have one
its ok but not funny trying to make fun of such a horrible tragedy. the story of chistopher johnson mccandless is not not something to be made mockery of!!
I found this video especially appealing because I am an Into the Wild enthusiast and i'm from Minnesota. Hiking out to old Bus 142 this summer actually.
Sounds like you could use a ride with Marian Gaborik on his custom chopper! Go wild!!
holy shit.. i just laughed so ooooo hard!
this is incredible! all around.
head to toe.
thanks for sharing !!!!
sincerely, melissa
The soundtrack is available to download again. Check the About area of this video.
It took me almost a full minute to figure out this was about the hockey team. I do like the Wild though.

@bigchief70 by the time I was 12 I lived the life of a 40 year old man. Everything else is gravy.
