  • In this video I share my experience with riding nearly 2000 mile wearing Helite airbag vest. I chose the bright yellow color for maximum visibility, especially when commuting daily in Atlanta where motorcycle accidents are common. The tethered version was my choice to avoid the need for charging. However, it's important to remember to tether it every time for it to work properly.
In terms of airflow and comfort, the vest didn't add any extra burden when paired with my Climb suit. It provided wide coverage and the highest level of protection in the market. The deployment mechanism is secure, so accidental deployment is unlikely.
One drawback I noticed is that standing up and riding can be a challenge when the vest is on a short leash. However, this is not a major issue considering the overall benefits it provides.
Replacing the cartridge in the vest is fairly easy and affordable, ensuring that you can quickly get back on the road even if it accidentally deploys.
Overall, my experience with the Helite vest has been positive, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to enhance their visibility and safety while riding.

Hi Robby thanks for the review of the Helite Airbag Vest I'm think about purchasing the electronic version.A couple of questions What size did you purchase? Can you tell me did you order it online using the Helite size chart or did you purchase from a motorcycle retailer. And what are your measurements height, chest, waist and back length. Sorry to get so personal but I find the Helite measurement chart a bit confusing 😂 Cheers Robby and I hope you never have to test your Helite Vest 🤞

Hi! Glad to know that you are looking into it. I purchased from my local motorcycle shop called Cyclegear. My height is 5 feet and 9 inches. Chest/Waist/Hip/back are 37/35/37/23 respectively.
Medium first me well with my Klim overalls and other jackets. It is snug enough and have room to adjust should I wear more gear - especially for winter. I went with the mechanical simply for the reliability and not having another item to charge. However, I do occasionally forget to connect to the motorcycle.
As you said I am hoping that I will never have to figure out if it works! The visibility itself is with the money for me!
