In this clip, Young Buck opened up about doing an interview after G-Unit got back together, where he said that he's never received a royalty payment or publishing from his music with G-Unit. Young Buck explained that the interview angered 50 Cent, which led to Sha Money trying to clean things up in the media by claiming that Young Buck made $10 million during his time with G-Unit. Young Buck denied the claims and stated that 50 Cent later went on Hot 97 and announced that Young Buck was no longer in G-Unit.

That's what happens when you don't own your masters or sign bad contracts. Buck doesn't own his music, so he's not going to get Royalties for its usage.
You get signed for a deal, you get your advance, you make the music and they recoup.
50 probably told him he'll sign him for say, 500K, he makes music for 50, and 50 gives him a piece of the tour money and that was that.
Buck said the only time he saw money was tours.
Probably made a few M's at most.

I always believed that all the "beefs" 50 started hurt the rest of G Unit careers. They weren't able to network with other artists. Which is why Game is the 2nd most successful artist out of G unit.

As a youngster, I grew up being a huge 50 cent fan, had both GRODT and The Massacre and probably have played both of those albums in the triple digits. When you're in the moment you're not looking to settle at a certain level. You're looking to rise to the highest position. With that being said, it's not that he's not humble. He simply is refocused climbing the ladder up, then falling down. Now revising his strategy to re solidify his foundation. There's definitely a shift in his mental awareness.
Hopefully good comes from this interview Young Buck deserves a second chance in fame.

Ive seen 50 say every artist in G unit made 10mill, which was shocking because they all had successful first albums but had a very noticeable dropoff afterwards. And even with the G Unit projects it still was crazy to grasp that was equal to $10mill for 2-3 individuals a piece.

Music doesn't pay like that anymore. These artists make more for shows and right now because of COVID artists can't check a bag like that. So most are doing sponsorship deals for the ones not locked into 360s and doing features or selling work! LOL If I were Buck's PR guy or manager, I'd be trying to monetize his over 700K IG followers. I'd set him up with a podcast and monetize that platform. Then he can get advertisers to pay him for ad space and Tennessee has tons of rappers for him to interview and the South. Look at how TI's podcast has grown. Then from there, I'd set him up to do real estate deals and venture into the tech space. Rappers are the best grassroots level marketers period. But I'd really focused on monetizing his organic fanbase.
