Thank you for taking the time to watch the video. Yes, the project has just launched, and how they made it is really awesome. I've been using Perplexity Pro with a free trial, but it was not as good as I expected. Mindsearch is drawing my attention, and I tried to make a video about it. Also, I saved their code for future use.
I'll second that; having a functional Zettelkasten system that incorporates AI-enabled research is a killer solution needed by all. It seems to me that many providers of similar options fall short in one way or another: for instance, Notion is online-only access. Obsidian-based solutions always fell short (in my experience) one way or another: backups, sync with certain services/tools, etc. Were there a solution that worked on all platforms (Mac/Win/Linux/Android/iOS) and offline, with AI enablements, I'd be sold! =)
Thank you for watching! Yes, I have a demo on how to access MindSearch via API. They are using FastAPI, which is easy to run. Just follow the instructions on how to install it locally in the video.
@@mykojai Thank you for watching, yes you can but you need to clone the repo and try to modify the code, try to add the function for gemini and groq I think is not hard to do thanks if you have any questions feel free to ask 🙌🙌
@@yazanrisheh5127 Thank you for watching! Yes, I have shown how to use Mindsearch via API. Please check the video again and go to the 'Install Locally' section, where you can learn how to use Mindsearch via API
Piece of cake! Just a casual stroll through millions of websites, no big deal. By the way, does anyone have a spare supercomputer lying around? Asking for a friend... 😅

It's very interesting to see how quickly programs are being created. The license in their github repo is two weeks old. This project is two weeks old!

Why not add RAG+OCR functionality?
Tesseract OCR with OpenCV+Pillow Preprocessing
thank u for watching, yes we can add and function but unfortunately, we can't contribute to the project
Thanks Gao. Can I access mindsearch results from an api?

Wow thanks for constantly putting out quality stuff! U r super underrated.
Would we be able to use Gemini or groq?

@@GaoDalie_AI Could you make an updated video about using MindSearch via an API please and how we can conenct it to a RAG application?

Why could we not create this for local knowledge repos which get constant information updates…?!
Yes, we can, but we can't contribute to this project. However, it's worth saving the code for future use.
Thanks Gao! Is it possible to provide own documents to MindSearch?
Thank you for watching! I don't think it's possible because they are an organization. You might consider contacting them directly to confirm.
Yes! Now only left to make a backend generic crawler, which will be able to crawl millions of websites, process them and store. Easy! 🤣
