We already have so many crop tops in the game, it would be nice to see something longer, or even undershirts for layering.

Yes! As someone who hates crop tops in real life, I want to be able to give my sims more normal length shirts, stuff with layers, and even baggy clothes.
And it would be nice to have some decent basics for adult and elder sims. Nana isn't clubbing like she did back in the day, but she doesn't want to look like a frump, either.
I'm not excited for either one of them. They should stop making more DLC and fix what they already have.
Or at least aim for actual quality, ambition, and great additions that would be worth it and getting excited for and a reason to praise them…instead of like always, them giving us mediocrity and expecting applause

Seems like they only try fixing stuff just before and just after a new DLC, so since I'm never buying Kits, I don't mind kits, as long as they keep doing fixes at the time of the Kits.
@@regishel in my opinion patches should be a regular thing until they are fixed especially ones that have been on going for sometime now. I understand it would be a pain for people who play with mods and such I play on both PC (with mods) and console but something has to give. In my opinion EA should put solid focus on the bugs and glitches so everyone can enjoy their game. Then maybe I would consider being excited about new DLC.

I think the effect is already in the game if you have certain packs like the pack where you get the active acting career, or it might be in base game (probably with a patch), so it should work, it probably won't be functional if you don't have certain packs lol

Hmmm EA will probably put another patch which will break the DJ booths just to get the Fog machine to be functional.

Ive just brought the sims 2 , for first time in my life , ive only played sims 4 and sims 3 , and safe to say sims 2 is defiantly my favourite the sims 4 can do one now from my life im sick of the cash grab and lack of ambition in thr game , sick of downloading 100s of mods just to try make the game better but doesnt feel natural , the sims 2 has won my ♥
I remember buying sims 2 when it first released in 2004...omg I was in love. I was only 13 then. As a 32 year old now, i believe Sims 4 needs to get alot of what sims 2 has. I still enjoy sims 4 though. It's a break from my work and school craziness.

We already have the DJ booth from Get Together which you can upgrade with handiness skill and it does have the fog effect and other effects and I think on community lots you no need to even upgrade those, just turn the effects on/off ... The effects looks exactly like on the picture. So they just slapped those effects from GT to a new mesh and calling it now "the fog machine". I'm surprised so little people knows about this... Recycled content as always.

It dissapoints me that this kit is basically the only sort of African style clothes. Why cant they give us an African world, foods, build mode and cas😭
The fact that there’s no Caribbean or African food pisses me off- jollof, peanut stew, jerk chicken, beef patties, fried plantain, mofungo would be so easy to add.
@@akwright4116 there are grilled plantains but these are BBQ only 😢 I would kill for an African or Caribbean expansion pack I feel like we're really getting the short end of the stick in terms of representation

If the fog machine works, this will be the first kit that comes with gameplay since Bust the Dust. Really, if this is messed up they should not be calling themselves game developers.

I agree with devilmessager since those packs were leaked by a simguru right? Like call me tinfoil hat conspirator but it's way too farfetch to be on accident (specially when the leak shows everything that comes with the kit)

More trash clothes and finally a disco ball that we took for granted in S3.
I'm actually surprised they didn't put the Disco ball with a 40$ Disco Party pack with a 70s style DJ Booth, some wall textures, Disco CAS, and a new Disco station that just plays the disco songs from previous Sims games, actually, that honestly sounds like it would've been a more fun thing than these 2 kits.
And if you're a PC user this kit is pointless cause there is a Retro Vibes CC kit with a functional Disco ball if you have Get Together, so unless they issue a patch which puts the things from Get Together to the base game, then the kits won't work anyway, and the mod would actually be better than the kit objects.

I like the stereo and the disco ball from the party kit but that's it. I'm not paying for either one of these. I hate to say it but it's true.
i really wish party stuff came with any of the other packs... luxury party? growing together? there are so many opportunities for birthday/wedding etc party stuff to fit into the game but ea would rather make yet another kit...
@@bunnyellabell but also Ebonix did a great job on this kit. It’s the lack of content that I don’t like. Kits to me can be a hit or miss. I think if they added a bit more content people would more be excited.
I agree with the others I am not excited for either one fix what you have before releasing anything more or at least aim for quality and make them worth it.
No, Y2K and Noughties are different things in the US. Y2K is 1999-2001 because of that one thing that happened in America that really severed the culture into before and after mindset. Also referred to as the aughts.
So... how many parties do you have? In sims or real life. There are how many packs that are party oriented now? But what people have been asking for since the beginning, FAMILY gameplay, is still lacking, but thats ok we get more party stuff! Sometimes I think the sims teams are all single alcoholic partyers who spend all their time at bars and clubs.

I counted about 15 cas items for masculine sims. Yes, almost everything is shown on female frames, but I definitely counted 15 for male sims.

just tried to play the sims last night after going weeks without playing it....and it's broken. build mode is all glitchy and so is maps. I'm not purchasing anything else from ea becuz this is ridiculous

the CAS kit is a collab with a CC creator, that's probably why.
They actually did collaborate with a CC creator for the CAS stuff, so you probably did see a similar design from the same CC creator, hopefully

Not for me. Party pack is too small and nothing exciting in it. Urban Homage is too many CAS items that are similar to stuff we already have. At least for once the male tops are longer and go past the top of their pants. Won't be buying either of these.
The fog is probably the same animation as steam vents from the pools, from one of the packs ( Get together?)

the only reason I'm thinking about buying the party pack is because of the record player and the fog machine (hoping it's actually a working one :P ). I never buy the clothes kits, they are always so ugly and not worth the money.
I reacon that the fog machines are just going to be reused fog from a previous DLC. Like the fog from the vampire pack or something. So probebly no new gameplay item.

I vividly remember us all calling it Y2K too, but back in 2009 there was a show can’t remember if it was on channel 4 or itv or bbc heck could’ve been c5 but I’m leaning towards bbc because they loved feeling like they were the trend setters. Where a bunch of British celebs, we’re interviewed about all the peak things that happened in society but mostly in the mediaphere, oh and it was a countdown to the most memorable thing, I believe, and they kept saying the 00s was the noughties because Y2K is just the whole millennia? I think the show was called ‘thinking back on the Noughties?’ Or thinking/looking back on the decade? Anyway 2009 had a bunch of shows reminiscing on the decade and what kinds of things they thought would be big in the next decade, yadayada.
Anyway I started calling it the Noughties then but barely anyone called it that so I was like bruh does no one watch tv 😂😂😂 but somehow with the 10s and 20s here it just got more and more used, and hey presto they made fetch happen 😂
But I figure since it was British tv that coined it, its likely why mostly just brits that use it🧐

All they need to do is have the clothes come with a male body and female body type.
Sims team already hás clothes that fit both frames. Why not do it to ALL clothing from now on. Even go back and update older clothing with bith frames.

Who am I kidding, I’ll still get both lol. The fashion pack primarily because of the butterfly top and the swirly looking crop center tie thing, even though I have cc of kind of the same thing but not exactly. I rarely throw events in the sims, but I love the record player and disco ball.

The clothes in the Urban Homage pack are hideous. British fashion is top tier I remember going shopping in London. This is so mediocre and insulting compared to real British fashion. I am probably being a fashion snob but I just hate it so much.
for sure. the color combos and patterns are so bad. it could just be the one swatch shown for the thumbnail pics, but knowing how sims clothing goes usually, they're prob all bad. i would've loved to see something less 2010 lmfao music video and more african inspired?? i thought the cas shown here was for the lame party kit. that shouldn't happen lol

Just turn off (Masculine) or (feminine) in the filter settings to use female clothing for males. I use this hack all the time. You will be pleasantly surprised how great your sim will look!

I think its cool what Ebonics is doing, but I also have to agree with some players/fans of Sims 4 mistly when you guys say STOP putting out MORE packs and FIX the game.
That's how I feel too about Sims 4.
NOT getting ANYMORE packs,kits or ANYTHING until EA/SIMS team actually FIXES this mess of a game and fixes it RITE this time. But all EA seems to CARE about is the money rather than their fans or the games down fall. Its just SAD NOW.
EA is just being SELFISH NOW because it's all the MONEY for EA.

I’m sorry but this is ugly. There is so much better CCs on the same themes… and in maxi match. EA is so lazy and greedy.. I’m sorry for the cc creator collab (I don’t know if they’re forced to follow a « quality »protocole to make the stuff..)The butterfly top is nice though
everyone crying about the game breaking, but let's be real .. it's the mods. I've never had any problems with TS4. only time i had problems, it was because of the mods. but people don't wanna admit it. not trying to be crass, but a lot of it too, is because the computers they use suck. if you read the recommendations for running sims, it tells you exactly what you should use for the game to work
I personally play with male sims for the most part. Probably 70% of my made sims are male. I have 7 saves and I just realized that, pretty much, they all have the same 3 pants. Different colors but pretty much same pants. The male clothing, the male hair, the male body hair are just underwhelming and ridiculous, they should do a male clothing pack, based on Levi's or something like that, just to balance Cas a little. I understand women have more possibilities for clothing, but come on. Three decent jeans for men. Really? . I would love for body hair and tattoos to overlap, that would give us more customization. I think a tattoo pack or body hair pack would sell good. They have gotten better with the beards lately, but I would like more types too. Just saying, most likely it won't happen. As a gay man, I love inclusion, BUT, how is it OK to have more stuff with the gay flag, that no gay man would wear in real life, outside of pride, than normal jeans that we use pretty much everyday like any other regular man, and they go and create that crazy pack for men clothing with skirts. We,re not all flamboyant butterflies, you know!!! Anyway, sorry for the rant but I feel this inclusion Only works for a particular niche group. Towards the woke side of the spectrum.
