We miss you at ABC 7. You were a legend there. The sports segment just isn't the same since you left. God Bless.

Thank you very, very much. I loved covering sports back then but retired at the right time.

OUTSTANDING PROFESSOR!!! I love the detail and the meticulous way you put it together. Congratulations from a fellow sportscasting builder.

Thank you, Jim. I wouldn't attempt the fine woodworking you do, but I found my niche with this project. The planning was as much fun as the construction.

Wow, this is awesome Brad, you’ve got a lot of different viewing perspectives. I would of been exhausted just trying to have the vision to plan such a thing. Great job 👏, I like the two people playing checkers @5:50.

Thanks, Beau. I did have a vision, but it was a slow process in getting it to come to fruition, particularly because it was all new to me. Found a lot of tips and techniques on the internet, along with a wide variety of materials for the scenery.

How's your railroad going these days, Brad?

It's doing well, although I don't run it much other than for people who would like to see it. Instead, I play the video I made last year. It doesn't appear on my channel, but you can view it with this link::

I like certain things about your layout im trying to start my own i would like to see if i can have a copy of your track plan. I have two others from various people and would like your to help me decide on my own layout i especially like the cross overlapping sections. Here is my email address if you can send me a copy of your track plan and as a freshman year engineer in eclectic school i would also like to know how you wired it up

      Jon,
Your email address does not appear here. The Durango and Silverton consists of an oval with a spur into the station. The Santa Fe passenger train is another oval with a parallel track straddling the station. I found the track plan for the freight online. It consists of four crossovers and took a lot of trial and error to make it fit properly since I used Bachman's EZ track. I kept the wiring simple. Each line has its own transformer and just one connection using a pre-wired section of EZ track rerailer. For the lighting, I used Just-Plug hubs, extension hubs, and one switch. I also made use of a number of tutorials on RUclips, as I had never undertaken a project like this before. The train set I built for my son 30 years ago was on a flat piece of plywood. It took me 5 months to build this set. I thought it would take longer. When it was completed, I felt like a mountain climber who, after scaling a peak, looked down and wondered how he ever did it. I'd be happy to send you the track plan if your can provide me with some means of communication, such as email, address, or phone.
