OMG! THANK YOU so much for this tutorial. I DID lose my mind.....with just enough left to scroll thru RUclips and find you! I'm all recovered now and back to my machine. You are a Godsend!
I had searched all over for a video on the Bobbin Winder that came with my wife's HandiQuilter Moxie. All of them were out of date, but this Himapro is the exact winder that's included with the Moxie. The owner of the shop that sold us the Moxie drove 3 hours to our house Sunday before last, spent 3 hours checking my construction and showing my wife how to operate the Moxie. But she never got to the winder as she had to drive 3 hours back home. I finally found some written instructions on the HQ website, so that helped some.
You can adjust the auto-stop/how much thread goes on the bobbin. Loosen the set screw on the left, slide the plate with the "knobs" in or out to desired position, re-tighten the screw. Thanks for this video!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU, a million thank yous for making and posting this video! I also got this bobbin winder on Amazon, and although like you, had no problems putting it together, I was befuddled as to how to thread it. Not confused anymore!
O thank you for the post I was using my all wrong. I had no idea how to use this just like you it didn’t come with any instructions I didn’t have a clue.. So thank you so very much for making this post. It’s been very helpful.
Thank you soooo much for this video. I was so frustrated with this, that it sat is a drawer for more than a year. I finally decided to find out how to use it because of the money I invested in it.
Thanks so much for sharing this! I've got a similar bobbin winder on the way and one of the complaints was that there were no instructions. This will help for sure!
Thank you! Other videos I've seen on this product have such heavy accents, I can't understand. I did find some instructions that said to wind the thread twice through the tension discs, but not sure if this makes a difference. If anyone is having problems, they might want to try that.
Did yours come with the screws the instructions state to install? Mine did not and wondering if this was a returned item (purchased through amazon) or if this is the way the item is packaged. Am returning for an exchange. Thanks!
I have a similar winder and also lacking good instructions. If anyone is wondering what that silver piece of metal between the pink and blue button is. It’s a thread cutter. Slide thread under then pull up along the blade.
Can you wind Pfaff 6230 or 9033 bobbins on this? I don't know the actual name of the bobbins.... just that they are thinner and wide in appearance than the other bobbins
I've had that happen before with it too. That usually happens when I haven't put it on right or the tension disc seems to need adjusting. Sorry I can't help beyond that.
Thank you so much for the explanation how to set up. Without your video, I was about to regret buying the machine....now it works perfectly.
Glad I could help!
Thank you so much! I’ve had the hardest time trying to use mine until this video
Glad it helped!

You know, it’s been so long, I’m not sure but I really don’t remember any instructions.

Now I'm having trouble getting it to wind smoothly on the bobbin. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated 🤗
Can you wind Pfaff 6230 or 9033 bobbins on this? I don't know the actual name of the bobbins.... just that they are thinner and wide in appearance than the other bobbins
I’m sorry, I’m not really sure, maybe someone else will respond here, you can always try it. Good luck!
Which way do you turn the top dial if it is not giving an even vertical wind
Not sure. Idk if the dial is the cause. I noticed if the thread isn’t fed exactly right, that will happen.
My bobbin comes up off the spindle during winding. The thread bulges in the middle on bobbin
I've had that happen before with it too. That usually happens when I haven't put it on right or the tension disc seems to need adjusting. Sorry I can't help beyond that.
If I could hug you I would!
I would hug you back!
There is a sensor there to auto stop the filling.
Good to know
My J bobbin keep flying off... any ideas??
Hmmm, not sure. Is the Bobbin the right size? Down tight enough?
Thank you I was getting frustrated
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you!❤️
You’re welcome 😊
