If you don’t want to see me drop the combo reset I’m showing go to 13:17 that’s where I land it but watch the video in full though so we can spark a discussion on what you think S2 of Tekken will look like!!
@@weiwu1442 mind you Jin has been the same since launch and he is only now getting recognized as a top 4 character. A low that does great damage, only -14 lmaoo, tracks from both sides, counter hit launching property and does insane damage if you have a wall near you as well. Super balanced 😂😂
I really agree with you when you say victor is so easy to fight. Like people complain but dont understand once you know a lit of his options and frames on common moves he can fall apart so quickly and struggle to pick apart characters with better tools. I know this kind of logic can apply to the entire cast but i feel like with victor so many things he does can be jab interrupted or launched if blocked
@@teleportingfatso6089 and this right here is the problem I don’t see many ppl talk about except the pros in the scene, Victor can be very strong we know this but a lot of what Victor does is based on your opponent getting gimmicked and if that is the basis of your character where you need to be tricky and rely on pressure that isn’t real he won’t get far at all. Case and point is with farzeen he is the best Victor in the pro scene rn and even he switched to yoshi and then he said sorry I had to switch like even he knows Victor can’t do it all when you have a plethora of other characters that just do it better then him ya know
I've gotta agree on lows of course, it's a well-known problem. Not asking to turn Victor into something disgusting like Nina but having mid-low string or standalone decent lows like let's say Clive would do good to make neutral offense less predictable and reliant on Perfumer transitions to mix up. On topic of Clive maybe Victor can get 2nd mid heat smash out of Iai. Again borrowing the idea from him, Heihachi, Lidia, etc. Victor can get some power-up system for doing certain things and I'm kinda thinking about something that would improve his moves that release power field from hand. Like his B1 parry is extreme shit with such small range it has so it can get range increase from this or 4,3,2 can get guard break on block and maybe other strings ending with power field strike into ground can give more pushback on block. I mean basically play some more into his superspy equipment gimmicks
@@bruhbruh5725 exactly you hit it on the head, we don’t want him to be on the same level as a Nina, Jin, drag or yoshi but give him something where you have to fear his lows. I just said the same thing to another comment where Victor could get another heat smash out of iai cause his regular heat smash is so trash and no one really uses it. I like the guard break idea, make so you can hold the button and break guard like Kazuya, heihachi etc can do it’s not game breaking cause you can react and press out of it, it creates another layer of mind games you want especially when you’re playing a character that is supposed to be reliant on gimmicks and stances
@@Lotus_awakening I would disagree on heat smash, it's very good for setups and finishing rounds. I keep watching lately Ken a lot and he manages to land it quite often on GoD level. He even released a video on it 3 weeks ago or so. Sadly his tip videos are in Japanese but even from visuals it's relatively understandable what he is trying to tell. But anyway it would be golden if minus frames on block are reduced to not make it launch punishable, it's a bit crazy because it already has big damage penalty to compensate for being low
@@bruhbruh5725 yeah I just will never think his heat smash brings value, I get it where it can close out rounds. I rather just use my heat for iai D2 to get a juicy +8 with crazy chip or UP1+2 for evasion and damage/safety. Maybe if they made it safer I would use it more. Hopefully in the next patch they adjust it
Victor really needs some changes in season 2. Overall he has really good buttons that’s very risky (high risk, kinda low reward). As a victor player, one of my main gripes with Victor is how easily punishable his stance and stance follow-ups could be. He’s suppose to be a stance character yet he gets easily punished going into stance and following up in many situations. Most of his follow-ups are easily punished by jabs. Another problem i have is that his up close game is pretty weak. All of his main strings are highs/high-mid attacks which could be easily ducked and punished. Also he’s way too linear, he hardly has any moves that could beat side stepping. Victor doesn’t have a fear button, in other words, he doesn’t have a move that the opponent has to respect or eat because of how hard it could be to punish. Mostly all the top tiers in the game has that fear button. Jin’s and Drag’s down 2, Nina’s low palm, are some examples. Like i said before Victor has really good buttons, but they needs some tweaks to make it at least a little less risky. It doesn’t even have to be major changes, just buff some of his tools in certain areas to make them more safe. And make his stance more fearful. Either by adding a stance follow-up move, or buffing what he already has. If you’re going to make him a stance character, at least make it a bit more fearful for opponents. I could say a lot more but I’ve said more than enough so I’ll end it there lol! I really love your content and Victor gameplay Keep the videos coming man!!
@@Gsevenreviews basically everything you said is what I have reiterated to some of my friends that play Tekken. Victor is good but there is a big problem when it comes to stances. Everything in his stances have high risk low reward beside iai 2 being a safe mid. Like you said there’s no threat to Victor, no one is fearing any button from him and that’s the problem. His lows besides DB4 are trash. Victor can be in a very good spot if they just adjust his lows and give him something threatening out of his stances. Or if they want make some of his options safer which can then provide him a decent way to play around the other stuff he has. Love what you wrote here! Super in depth
i think they should add a new strings for df1, something like df1 f3 2 and df1 f3 1, and a new plus move because they kind of killed his pressure with fff2
the reason is the only string of df1 is a high move that could easily be ducked and launched (this always happen in high elo), and most of his go to moves are high and lows, and a ducking opponent can evade most of the moves except a few
@@muhammedeid9262 I feel like his pressure is fine still since you can get the +5 still if you transition into iai stance the problem is a lot of characters can side step his options which suck so bad! I like the idea of giving him new strings this could def open up his game more tbh!
@@toddvieu5599 that’s a real interesting buff I never thought bout that because if I’m being honest no one really uses it, giving it some priority can bring more to use the move

Victor 100% needs buffs. I love him but he can be pretty one dimensional with mediocre poke opportunities you really have to rely on your launches and counter hits to get full combos, and his combos don’t do a lot of damage in comparison to a lot of the roster while requiring a good setup. Again maybe that’s my lack of skill but I’m not sure. I would just give some of his moves better frames as a buff and leave his damage the same ? What do you think Lotus
@@TheHusseinjoker yeah I agree it’s like I’ve said prior I think Victor has some good stuff going for him the problem I feel he will always have is there is no threat to victors lows and that’s not a bad thing cause then he would have everything you want in a character or be like drag where he is damn near a perfect character, I still think if they buff his other lows like D3 and D4 they would have more priority then to use something as super unsafe as DB4. The example I used in the video with Jin have the same properties with his D2 like victors DB4 but the biggest difference is Jin’s D2 is only -14 there’s only a select few that can launch that but victors is -26 it just doesn’t make sense. Give him something out iai stance again if they want to make Victor a stance heavy character like a new move or new heat smash, cause his heat smash now is not good lmao no one really uses it. The other thing I would do is give him some better tracking on certain moves like U1 and better frame data on his lows
Honestly Heihachi and Kazuya imo need a nerf. I’m a Victor main (only Tenryu) teeming on Mighty Ruler so far and I feel like they’re both extremely safe with their frame traps. Especially playing Victor where a lot of his moves are so negative on block Kazuya/Heihachi have so many launch opportunities but maybe that’s just my lack of skill. Not sure
@@TheHusseinjoker so I can agree with kazuya I think the character is insane with how much damage he can do and his strong 50/50 game. His heat is also insane as well. Heihachi I feel is super underrated but has a lot of faults still but don’t get it twisted he is still broke imo lmaoo
