Quick question for a saber referee if any see this video comment section. If a saber fencer does a balestra can it be considered a loss of right of way if the feet come back down to the ground with too much force thereby disrupting the fluid movement of the footwork?
generally no, in regards to rules in state level competitions. if a referee is lenient, taking into consideration that the fencer continues to move forward, they will not consider it an attack no, however, if the referee is overly strict and/or the fencer stops for a moment, it may be considered an attack no. (this is regarding FIE rules)
Thank you so much for video. ☺😊I have some problems with balestra. Also, can you show about changing positions in attacking and deceieve attacking ( I'm sure but attacking person seems like going 3rd position but hitting 4th position ).
Hi, thanks for your comment. I didn't quite get your question. Can you explain it again?
Got to learn a lot of new footwork 🤺
Thank you
