I dont think its THAT unusual a fate for an inquisitor, they have a habit of thinking they are only ones capable of saving everything. The inquisition has a clear purpose the problem is the inquisitors have a habit of being drunk on their own flavour-aid
Even while that game was pop-market oriented, it managed to do a bunch of things right by the lore. One of the main ones was showing the two sides to the Ultramarine character: the noble defenders like Titus and the stickler-for-the-rules dbags like Leandros. Remember, these are the same Legion who imprisoned and disrespected a Thousand Sons captain for the crime of saving their own lives multiple times against the law
@@all_is_dust_ it's from "Battle for the Abyss" - which is in fact one of the weakest Horus Heresy novels, but again, did well on some of the relationships between the legions. Captain Mhotep gets stuck on an Ultramarines vessel (after his own ship is wrecked), which might not have been as bad if not for the presence of the Space Wolves. As you can guess, those aholes miss no chance to show off how much they hate "wytchcraft" (filthy hypocrites as they are with their own runepriests) and demand to treat the Thousand Son as a traitor. The Smurfs basically side with the Wolves here, only calling on Mhotep when it's convinient to use his powers to do their dirty work and keep treating him like shit the rest of the time. Despite all that, the guy stays true to the end, using magic to save their ungrateful asses on multiple occasions, up to sacrificing himself to banish a deamon that was behind the whole mess.

I can imagine Space Marine 3 ending with Guilliman himself congratulating Titus and saying he's gained his total trust and that few other Astartes have showom as much devotion and loyalty to the Imperium... and then Leadros "hmmmm nope, still not convinced, will keep an eye on you"
Titus deserves to become captain again. Maybe even the captain of the first company. At very least a position in the first company should be offered to him even if he refuses because he's bonded with the second company.
Honestly feel if the chapter discovered Leandro’s betrayal of Titus he would be very quickly sent on some missions not meant for his return… He himself broke everything he stood for when he brought his accusations to the inquisition directly instead of speaking with an Ultra Marine Chaplin.

Fun Fact according to the codex astartes you report suspected Herasy to your Chaplain not the Inquisition good job Leandros you screwed over your captain and chapter.

Well, the historic experience in the Imperium when they wouldn't watch close the Astartes it's disastrous. If half of the primarchs were corrupted by chaos Why not an ultramarine who has signs of being connected with chaos capable of resist powerful artifacts? Give Leandros some credit for being "by the book" knowing how dangerous could be Titus as a chaos space marine.
The thing is, if you suspect a brother of heresy you would have to report to the chaplain. Leandros broke the Codex Astartes rules himself by directly reporting him to the Inquisition.
Looking back st the Horus heresy it’s understandable that the Inquisitior hated Astartes. I think most imperials should hate them even though they have to depend on them. They are just heavily flawed.

I hate how disrespectful those Primaris were to Titus in the game hell i hated how they've made him so unwilling to speak up when something fucked up was happening because he didn't want to be accused of heresy.
He's truly one of the greats willing to still stand by those who see him as tainted even though he's done nothing wrong besides serve.

Well, the historic experience in the Imperium when they wouldn't watch close the Astartes it's disastrous. If half of the primarchs were corrupted by chaos Why not an ultramarine who has signs of being connected with chaos capable of resist powerful artifacts? Give Leandros some credit for being "by the book" knowing how dangerous could be Titus as a chaos space marine.
The thing is, if you suspect a brother of heresy you would have to report to the chaplain. Leandros broke the Codex Astartes rules himself by directly reporting him to the Inquisition.
Looking back st the Horus heresy it’s understandable that the Inquisitior hated Astartes. I think most imperials should hate them even though they have to depend on them. They are just heavily flawed.
