Spider-Man Remastered on PS5 has some interesting additions. The most noteworthy is the performance mode at dynamic 4K and 60fps. On the other hand, Insomniac offers us a fidelity mode, which locks the framerate at 30fps by adding ray-tracing at 2160p. The change in lighting is also a remarkable element (and from my point of view, right). Some textures have also been improved, the drawing distance and the number of elements on the screen (cars, people ... etc) has been increased. It is a good adaptation for the new Sony console. For the last 20 or so years 30 FPS has been the standard for console gaming, so I think most console only gamers find 30 FPS enough, especially in games like spider-man, so they are more willing to accept the hit on frame rate for more pixels/graphics. I am basing this on the 3 people I know who have PS5’s, all three of them of been playing spider-man on “fidelity” mode because they “don’t see a difference” or 60 FPS “looks weird” to them. They said the same thing when we tried out God Of War in 60 FPS.
The only things I don’t like in the remastered are the lighting in some cutscenes looking too bright and offsetting the tone and peters face (I’m kinda used to it now considering you play as Spider-Man 90% of the time but still prefer the old face).
Yeah, that's what I'm talking about, I mean as we can see in the video the Ps4 wich is supossed to show 1080p wich is not the case in a lot of games, but the game still looks really good, now If they put real 1080p resolution plus the RT It would be awesone, I don't think that the console can't do that right?
I finished the remastered version the other day and i wasn't blown away by the visuals at all playing in fidelity mode. Its clear the game is just a remaster from PS4 based textures. Miles Morales on the other hand you could clearly see a generation leap in visuals, particularly in some indoor scenes with a lot of reflections. Oddly enough its when i have the animated suit on that it really starts to pop out how great the environment looks
My sister was lucky enough to get a ps5 for 25 bucks through a raffle, been playing spiderman with performance mode on my 1080p tv (and motionflow settings on even if its not the best for gaming) and it looks like i have 4k tv. I dont even know what 4k looks like but after years of playing with a res lower than 1080 on my xbox, shit is whole different experience for me, like flying a jet at the highest altitude. It really is amazing, and the 60fps really does it for me.
Since I never played the PS4 version, I set it to fidelity mode for 75% of the game for both games. I knew once I saw what 60 FPS was like I would not want to go back. I think I made the right decision because I got to enjoy the best visuals while doing story missions and then got a second wind once I turned on 60 FPS mode to finish the games off with collectables. The interiors of the buildings in Miles Morales really do look (more) amazing in fidelity mode because of the neon aesthetic/lighting compared the original.

The remaster for this game is great; but we’ve got to give it to Insomniac this game looked beautiful on PS4 Pro. If I’m honest we’ve gotta give all devs credit for getting stable framerates on those Jaguar CPUs for 7 years; considering how behind they were when PS4/XB1 came out and not to mention the fact that they only overclocked them for XB1X/PS4Pro.

Me he fijado en varios videos acerca de lo mucho que cambia la intensidad y posicion de las sombras junto con los reflejos "reales" de Ray tracing, y las simulaciones sin esta tecnología. @@davidpantoja3668 No es que los tenia mal, la PS4 ni ninguna otra consola puede simular reflejos en todos los edificios. Usan una tecnica que simula los reflejos que es muy mala pero consume pocos recursos, la PS5 ya no lo necesita y puede hacer reflejos en tiempo real.
No es que estuviesen mal los reflejos era mas como ponen un fondo y ya. Y bueno en el juego se aprovecho hasta para poner un ee y que salieran las torres gemelas

En PS5 para hacerlo mas realista añadieron el tiempo de mañana/amanecer. Que es la hora en la que empieza el juego en PS5, por eso se ve menos colorido(porque es mas temprano no mas tarde xd). Pero luego de la mision de fisk, el tiempo pasa a medio dia y se ve como en PS4 colorido y soleado porque ya es medio dia xd.
De hecho se cambio por algo, en unos meses vas a saber por qué se cambio la cara, pero el cambio es por una película de Spiderman que viene en un futuro

It is the same time of day, the game doesn't change time of day like GTA - it's based on missions. Some take place during daytime, some at dawn and some at night. After you beat the game you can choose the time of the day to play as you want from research stations. :P The lightning is just different because they changed it up for the remaster.

Lo único que me gusta es que tiene 60 fps, ojo porque no la versión 4k. Otro remaster de pacotilla. La cara de Peter es para llorar y cambiar toda la paleta de colores es terrible, el Ray tracing es puntazo a favor pero igual está muy mal para el precio.

Too bad that it looks like it has no weight at 60fps, cause it looks way too "jumpy" in terms of physics and animations. - Sure, these games aren't about realism, as much as people think it is or want it to be, but still, it's kinda janky and that cheapens it. - Not saying that lower framerate doesn't have its issues, like a motion-blur and such, but at least it gives it a more dramatic effect, like movies do. - Physics remain a problem in that way, while a few, like say "TLoU(2)", do their animations and physics very well. - A good example is most games with vehicles: There are few that make it believable, such as some racing-games that lean towards simulation, or even some open-world games like GTAIV, which have a weighty feel to them. - Anyway, it is what it is. - For this comparison, even though it's the time of the PS5 now, you just don't want to be on a base PS4.

Fidelity mode is more like a "cinematic" experience. Actually the two modes are incredible but I also prefer the performance mode.

The AMD 1st Gen Ray Tracing RT Cores can't handle it. The GPU needs to be more powerful for that.

@@reklix7281 There's a much bigger difference between the PS4 and PS5. The SSD-tech alone is a huge deal, surpassing what even most people have in their PCs to this day. - Let alone ray-tracing and such, which also requires a lot from a PC-GPU, at least a lot more money than what a PS5 costs.

It is the same time of day, the game doesn't change time of day like GTA - it's based on missions. Some take place during daytime, some at dawn and some at night. After you beat the game you can choose the time of the day to play as you want from research stations. :P The lightning is just different because they changed it up for the remaster.

You hit the nail on the head there because it’s actually at the sunset time of day. They probably should’ve done the comparison at the same time but they didn’t because you start the remastered edition at sunset time
The lighting is definitely more orange in the remastered spider-man PS5 game overall (inside and outside). I'm guessing the reason is because they wanted to create more contrast between the original and Miles Morales to further distance the setting/seasonal changes.

Otro remaster de pacotilla. La cara de Peter es para llorar y cambiar toda la paleta de colores es terrible, el Ray tracing es puntazo a favor pero igual está muy mal para el precio.

Definitivamente todo ha mejorado, si ves una comparación más bien hecha como hizo nick930 ahí si se nota la mejora en texturas, resolución, hasta la basura del basurero se ve mejor en el remaster, un detalle que creo que no vale ni los 20 dólares por lo visto

For me it doesn't matter if the graphics are good or not between the PS4 and the PS5, it is what it is? Just finishing PS4 version on the PS5 then starting again on the remaster? Then back to Miles Morales since I'm on my to Spiderman 2!!!! 😊😊😊
Too bad that it looks like it has no weight at 60fps, cause it looks way too "jumpy" in terms of physics and animations. - Sure, these games aren't about realism, as much as people think it is or want it to be, but still, it's kinda janky and that cheapens it. - Not saying that lower framerate doesn't have its issues, like a motion-blur and such, but at least it gives it a more dramatic effect, like movies do. - Physics remain a problem in that way, while a few, like say "TLoU(2)", do their animations and physics very well. - A good example is most games with vehicles: There are few that make it believable, such as some racing-games that lean towards simulation, or even some open-world games like GTAIV, which have a weighty feel to them. - Anyway, it is what it is. - For this comparison, even though it's the time of the PS5 now, you just don't want to be on a base PS4.
