Today we continue out cross generation battles!
In this video it is the turn of the Enterprise G.
The one from Picard Season 3. I think there will be a few surprises along the way though..
Played from both sides in Star Trek Bridge Commander Remastered.

Enterprise G: C-Captain! Our plot armor has failed!
Well we knew that was going to happen. I hated to see the Titan-A disrespected like that. She is a lovely ship but should never be taken against her older, stronger siblings. She should never have been rechristened to Enterprise, she is the Titan and already has her story.
I hated it too. It greatly disrespects both The Titan-A and the name Enterprise, especially when you consider the Enterprise F is twice the size and much more advanced than the Titan A is.
The Picard series will forever be a bad fandom series and will never be Canon to me. As far as I am concerned, Picard was as bad as Discovery is. The Enterprise F was christened in 2409 and first put into the command of Captain Shon. End of story.
Exactly, they did both namesakes a disservice by renaming it! The Titan should have continued making it's own legacy and the Enterprise F should have remained in service for many more years. I think story in Star Trek Online is more canon than the one we got in Picard.
@@KelorelHow do we know that the F is much more advanced, particularly after the Titan was rechristened when it never said on screen? For all we know it was refitted with the most advanced tech in the fleet at that point. We just don't know. If it hadn't been said on-screen it's not canon and just subjecture on your part.
@@gmon78 You're right, it is mostly conjecture on my end. However the Titan-A's design is based on an out of date design of the Constitution class which was retired not long after it's refit for the new Excelsior class because the Constitution class had run it's course and wasn't good enough to keep in active service, especially since the Enterprise-A was launched not that long before it was retired.
So using that logic is makes no sense than the Titan-A, using an old and out of date design as a template would replace the Enterprise-F.
Again, I am aware it's all conjecture on my part, and I do fully understand the Picard series never went into detail (mostly because Season 3 was merely just a nostalgia jerk fest that threw logic and reason out the window to fit even more nostalgia) even then I struggle to find a good reason why they wrote out the Enterprise F the way they did.
The Enterprise F was initially introduced in Star Trek Online as a much more advanced vessel that was supposed to be launched in 2409 with state of the art technology, but that doesn't fit with the nostalgia trip the writers wanted so they half assed the Enterprise F's introduction came up with some garbage reasoning like "Lmao Worf remember when you fucked in Enterprise E? So funny." and pretended like it makes so much sense for the Ent-F to be released so quickly after E was in service.
I don't really care if you agree or not, I personally regard Picard S-3 as mid tier garbage so take that as you will.
@@Kelorel Sure, based on the Connie, but logically that clearly only means aesthetically. They obviously didn't use 23rd century systems when building the ship. It was never explicitly explained in the show as to how advanced or not it may be, again, particularly after it was rechristened Enterprise. For all we know it was the most advanced ship in the fleet. I mean I doubt it, but until told otherwise that view is as valid as any other.
Far as the odyssey class is concerned, I don't play games anymore so all I have to go on is what I saw in Picard, and I wasn't impressed. It's so fancy that despite apparently being in full working order and still very new they still felt the need to decommission the F? Doesn't fill me full of confidence in the class.
I agree that season 3 was little more than fan service but after the crap they put out in the first 2 seasons I think it was exactly what we needed at the time.

Time to prove what everyone said. Bring 'The Fat One' out of the museum and put it against the Shangriprise and show everyone that they should have put the big D back in service as Starfleet's flagship.

YES! Great to see a literal OG/Original-G show how it's the true next-gen top-of-the-line Enterprise! I'd actually also love to see a (blink-&-you'll-miss-it) short vid where the Eclipse-Class just rams right on through the Constitution-III with barely a notice as its regenerative shields disintegrate the debris smear like it never existed. Also, have these Star Trek battle simulators never done a model for Worf's blocky Typhon-Class Federation supercarrier? I'd be thrilled over what these games could do with that.
I wonder........how Enteprise-J is going hold against A, B, C, D, E and F? I mean, it's a older model like Eclipse-class.
If only I had the money to produce it... I'd like to see the spinoff of Picard take place. The adventures of Captain Anika and Picard's son... and Q. 😄

I am with you The Zheng He like you mentioned in other video or this one Eclipse Ent G.. future ships supposed to be more so.. love the battle and Now we know what happened to the Ent E.. sorry Worf.. lol. Ent F.. I mean saw it in Picard 3.. and already for the museum but the Titan A, 20 year old ship with upgrades.. oh gosh.. no idea what to say.. but the Ent G we all love and know should be the next generation ship.. The decision on the canon enterprise G pains me to this day! Why even decommission the F in cannon?! Oh I feel a rant building, I’ll stop there. Great video though!

I just can't get past that huge eyes and smile on the secondary hull/deflector area of the "real" enterprise-G @5:27 or so you can see it. Just a big ol' grin.

What always bugged me about that cloaking device. Is that it was over a hundred years old. Any ship using it should be easily detectable with the technology of the twenty fifth century
With Active scans yes....Only if they were looking for it...if they had no idea it was there then passive sensors would not see it. Voyager didn't see the D7 battlecruiser coming and only scanned effectively after Tuvok noticed the tetryon emissions matching a D7 which suggested an older cloak
All this needed was the Titan-A on a black leather couch with the Enterprise F and E holding station behind it.
re-cresting the Titan-A to Enterprise-G is just the biggest downgrade of the Enterprise name in the whole Star Trek history
It is more a slap in the face for the Titan name. TITAN A proves herself well and then renamed.

When you see it and the D flying side-by-side, the G is noticeably smaller than its predecessor, which flies in the face of the tradition of each iteration being larger and more powerful than the last. So this video is pretty accurate! 😆
I'm not surprised how long the fake Enterprise-G lasted against the E and the F.
When the E blew up you should have put the clip from Worf in Picard saying, "That was NOT my fault." lol
I consider the Eclipse class to be the official Enterprise-G. I seriously wish they had made that cannon and be the real E-G. They could have totally built it in a year.
The Eclipse class is a beast and a ship not to trifle with for sure. I half expected you to multi target the E and F with this ship.

The Constitution III has always seemed like a bit of a budget or mass-production design (a bit like the old Miranda class). I’d be willing to bet that the Ent-E could defeat it on its own.
If it was just the titan being new, probably not getting a refit. But, being the enterprise, and granted the enterprise doesn’t HAVE to be the flagship, I would say the rechristening would also come with a refit

lol we all knew this would be a curb stomping for the 1701-G. It just is not a battleship with exploration capabilities like the E and F were. If there ever is a Legacy show, they will probably have to science their way out of a lot of things because it's not that strong. It can defend itself, yes but I think it's more a return to something more akin the mindset of something like the Galaxy class or Ambassador class in terms of its combat capabilities. Honestly, I feel like they made it the G just to honor it, even if it was not the smartest choice lol.

I'd be surprised if the Titan-A could stand up to even the Enterprise-D. It's one generation newer, but it's still a light cruiser, not a mainline capital ship.

I wasnt a huge fan of this ship when it was the Titan-A and wasnt pleased when they changed the name to Enterprise. Poor Seven, she's gonna die fast out there.
All that matters is that Wesley was on one of the destroyed ships.... Be nice if Neelix was as well.

Honestly naming the Titan the Enterprise was the only thing that let down Picard season 3. Why OH Why could we not just have them put a damn anti virus on the enterprise F :'( Such a beautiful ship and I honestly don't care about the titan at all.

Yep ENT G ECLIPSE CLASS is the best G. Renaming titan a was dumb. Since Titan A was season 3 and it did the job. Should have stay the same.
I will never understand the writers decision to take the titan and rename it to Enterprise G while the Odyssey class is so superior. It's like they never watched Star Trek before and were just trying to create some dumb emotional response.
I find it funny the in-universe reason for the neo constitution class existing is the same as the out of universe reason: nostalgia bait.

The Titan was legendary enough to spawn the Titan-A, but not legendary enough for the Titan-A to not be rebranded Enterprise-G. What a slap in the face for both Titan crews....

Yeah I love how you said now the real Enterprise G. That Connie refit is garbage. Well that's Matalas for you. " The Enterprise is foremost a science vessel not a military ship. What he misses is that the Enterprise is both. The reason why Enterprise NX-01 and the Connie are as they are, are due to the technology at the time. Not some woke idea that they were built that way to be vulnerable because they were science vessels. They were built with the best technology they had at the time.
I'd like to point out that the Bounty CLoaking device was 100 years old and Star Fleet intel and Security would not have left it on the bounty after the ship was recovered from San Fransico Bay

Pitting the Enterprise E & F against the NEW Enterprise G indicates your extreme hatred of the New G. 😅 I suspect many were rooting for the E & F despite knowing that the G had no chance whatsoever. That ship will never be a fan favorite.

I think each incarnation of Enterprise should be able to beat it's 2 predecessors in combat before it's deemed worthy to hold the name Enterprise. The only 2 that have failed this test completely are the Odyssey and the Neo-Constitution (WTF were they even thinking with that name?). They are unworthy of the name Enterprise. (OK, fine, the Odyssey can keep it for at least trying it's best and doing damage)
The Eclipse on the other hand, damn she's got some sharp teeth. Barely broke a sweat while it pummelled it's two predecessors into dust. Also, the Eclipse is gorgeous.
Actually I think the Sovereign Enterprise could take the Neo-Connie Enterprise. Maybe I'm being optimistic, but those quantums doing some nasty damage and were burning through the shields even at near full shields.
The Enterprise 1701 Refit and Enterprise A were not the most powerful ships of their time...The Federation Dreadnought and Excelsior class were the best of the 2270s and 2280s respectively. There is no hard rule that the Enterprise is the Strongest ship....it is however crewed by the very best of Starfleet. The Enterprise D and the USS Defiant also existed together at the same time briefly in 2371...I doubt the Enterprise D would like having Quantum Torpedos and Pulse Phaser Cannon Fire shot at it

They can come up with whatever contrivance they want, but retiring the beast that is Enterprise F and replacing it with that little kitten of a ship is a blight on the name Enterprise. They should have named it the Picard which would have still given it plenty of emotional weight and not slandered the name of our favorite series of hero ships.
Naming it Picard would have been the icing on the cake. Just when you thought they were going to do that as well...and then you see Enterprise G. I remember exclaiming.. "What!!?"

The worst mistake the show made was make this ship an Enterprise. At the end of the day it was originally a light cruiser, and for me this just makes the Enterprise look so weak. The fact it was absolutely no match for the Shrike shows it’s not built for combat. They should’ve re-christened the ship as the USS Picard, that would’ve make a lot more sense.

The Titan A was a legacy ship and should of stayed the Titan A down to cost constraints and I fill lazy convenient writing we ended up with the renamed Titan A as the Enterprise G ....awful 😖 lol ruined what was a fantastic final season of STP a new ship or just keeping the Enterprise F was such a better idea it's a real shame they did what they did .....great as all ways RB 👍
Seems like the Picard Enterprise G is a substantial downgrade in power from the E/F
I absolutely HATE the canon Enterprise G. They tried to hard to capture the glory of Kirk's Constitution class. It was a product of its time and didn't work for that era. Ship looked out place for that time period. The Neo Constitution almost looks like it should have been the in the era of the C. Flimsy looking, small, weak. You want to give it a chance put it up against the Ambassador class. Even TNG era would give a hard time. Maybe Saber or Steamrunner. But the Defiant, Akira and Galaxy would clap the G. Maybe I'm wrong. Go against the Defiant. Sorry fot the rant. This is just disrespectful to the legacy of the Enterprise.
