  • And now to finalise recordings from the Bouremouth event, we finish off with (sadly) the only heritage working I managed to get from that event, being Volvo B10M Citybus 208 - E208GCG
208 was new as part of an order of 10 Alexander RV bodied Volvo Citybuses with E*GCG in 1988 & F*WRU in 1989 registrations and was used on a multitude of routes in the Bournemouth & Christchurch areas, 208 survived into Transdev ownership in 2011 later wore an all-over white livery for Your Bus, mostly for schools and duplicate events journeys. By November 2013, 208 passed to Fowlers Travel in Lincolnshire for school services, then from 2018 to 2020 resided with Dews Coaches in Cambridgeshire before entering into preservation.
My journey on 208 comprised a short shuttle service from the event site to Bournemouth Station, so sadly not a particularly long or speedy run.
208 is powered by a underfloor 9.6 litre Volvo THD101 (I think?, I am not too sure as the B10M had a variety of engines) coupled to a ZF Ecomat 4HP500 4-speed (again I think?) automatic gearbox. Powerful and fast, but are difficult vehicles to video. Enjoy!
    Start: Bournemouth Station
    Finish: Kings Park event site

This is a 5 Speed ZF ZF5HP500. There a couple of videos with the same bus on a due carriage way at full speed.
