Great video man! But…the iPhone hast a slightly better resolution? Dude the s21 and 21+ come with 1080p resolution. That’s an absolute no go for that price especially considering that battery life really isn’t good on them So saying “slightly better resolution” kind of triggers me as the difference in resolution is basically as high as it can be between 2 phones

I got the s21+ a fair while ago now and I love it so much! I love the battery size. I can usually get 2 days out of it, which is great because I forget to charge my phone often. I absolutely agree with you on USB-C as well, the first cord I got for this phone broke and so I could just used one of the many others I had lying around.
@@Orshar89 I'm currently using s21 plus and i had some issue with overheating. I've been using it for almost a year now. When i first bought this phone, it's already had that overheating issue just for setting up the phone. Not gonna lie. It's disappointing for me. It's much more hotter than you think. Among all of the phone that I've used before, this has the worst overheating problem.
I Just upgraded and purchased the iPhone 13 Pro Max. I was really impressed with the camera upgrades. I love my iPhone, however like you said in the video it has a lot to do with Apple’s ecosystem. It just syncs so well with my MacBook Air and other Apple accessories.
The S21+ is my preference but at the same time when i bought a new phone i skipped the 21+ and went with the Ultra for the superior display and camera setup. No iPhone is topping the ultra period.

Mike it was as if this video was made for ME. I literally just started looking at an upgrade and was seriously considering buying into the apple eco system, (I'm a graphic designer/general creative using adobe) so I work from ipad to iMac and thought it would be great to have a completely cohesive system which would eventually lead to an albeit pricey set up of airpods, watch etc which are undeniabley just that bit better than Samsung equivalent supplementary devices. I feel unhealthily nervous about moving away from Samsung. I've been with Samsung since the S5 and currently still sat on my note 9.

I can't afford the IPhone 12 pro renewed on Amazon nevermind the 13pro at the beginning of 2023. So I went for the S21 plus got it for $300 renewed on Amazon. Another discussion that should be had is that IPhones stay expensive for years while you can get a flagship Samsung a year later at half the price.
I have both and at times I miss the bigger screen on my s21+, but after a while there are the things I miss on my 13 pro, seamless connection with AirPods Pro, even though I have the galaxy buds live I have to always answer a call and click on Bluetooth and change to my buds live to accept hear the call on them. This happens even if I’m already listening to music or watching videos etc. Pictures are a different story, often in a perfect scenario the iPhone performs really well and does take really good low light pictures but distance is lacking. For a Pro name I feel Apple dropped the ball on this one. Samsung Dex doesn’t get enough credit, at work I have to work with excel and it’s a wicked nice feature to be able to connect wirelessly to my LG tv and a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse combo is a game changer. I’m on the fence of ordering the S22 ultra, with attractive trade in value for my s21+ and employee discount through my place of employment I can get a 512gb variant for less than $700.00 delivered. They both are really great phones, for me the trouble of using both phones is definitely worth it.
You mentioned wireless charging your iPhone using the back of your phone charger you should mention that the speed of it is very slow and you basically have one for one percent meaning if you charge your iPhone 1%, that's one less percent from your battery which is predictable but I don't think it's very efficient
I'm still torn between the two. I have an macbook air that I use for personal use only and I dont like having everything tied together. I could easily have all of my photos in Google images which organizes itself for me. I'm not married to iOS or Android so this choice to upgrade and which way to go is so frustrating because I've owned both. The only thing that I don't want to give up is Facetime because my parents like to use that when talking to my son. What to do, what to do?

I have the S21+ (iPhones just can’t do the things I need them to do, such as directly sharing a picture from a website to dropbox, or refreshing an rss reader in the background). But the thing I really needed to comment on is that nightmode picture. I’ve been taking truly amazing night shots with the S21+, and I can’t imagine it delivering such a clunker of a shot… either your phone is not performing as it should, or you must have missed a setting? It should do way better than that, in any case. I took a picture of my drumkit (yay for fellow drummers!) in a dark room and it was as if the lights were on…
I can share a picture to Dropbox from a website. Just use Chrome, long press and copy image. Then go to Dropbox folder and paste. Not sure what the problem with RSS feeds is as I can manually update. As for night mode, Apple does not create as artificial lighting as the Samsung, just enough to give a shot. If you really need to get even more light then you have to manually adjust and the iPhone can have a 10 second lapse to get a much lighter photo (need a stand for stable shots). Or there are third party apps. Mind you, I rarely take photos in pitch black and not sure why anyone old think that is anything but a niche feature?

But still, the notifications and share menu are way better (easy to use) on Android in my opinion. As for nightmode, you're right, the room with the lights turned off is not a good example. This past weekend we were staying at a castle, and it had fountains in its garden. At dark, those were lit up. Used nightmode for pictures of the dark castle and the fountains and the results were very impressive. So that would be a more "every day" application of the night mode ;)

The S21+ is currently a lot cheaper than the iPhone, and Samsung's prices always drop quite quickly apart from the fact that the S22 is coming soon. Samsung's resale value is poor. With the iPhone, I like the very long support. With Samsung, it's usually over after 2-3 years, with Apple, you still get updates after 4 or 5 years. But iOS unfortunately has a lot of restrictions and the missing fingerprint sensor is a problem especially in Corona times. Visually, I find Samsung better, the iPhone looks a bit old-fashioned with the notch. I currently find it very difficult to decide between Samsung and Apple.

Samsung just extended the support for S21 and S22 phones to 4 major Android updates and 5 years of security updates. Apple still has better support, but the difference is getting smaller

I have been following your videos everytime I decide to buy Samsung product. I am a Samsung fan and not Iphone fan. I was planning to buy a wireless charger and there were so many options. I am not sure if you have every made a video of comparison or any recommendations to buy.
I had a 12 pro max and that screen dimming nonsense every time the phone was outside or even got a little warm had me sell it. I've already seen people complaining of the same thing with these 13 pro/pro max so its a no go for me again on these.
I had the iPhone 13pro an I got board with it really fast cause it's like using the same phone every year..so I took it back an I got the s22 plus an I tell you it's a great phone...it does so many things that the iPhone does not do...now don't get me wrong I still love my iPhones but the Galaxy does so much more
it's interesting that when the iPhone 4 came out, Jobs described the beauty of it as like an old beautiful Leica camera. when the iPhone 6 came out people were ready to move on to the new hotness of the rounded edges. now we're back to the flat edge. 🤣

Since 2010 i use Samsung Galaxy devices... S2,S3,Note3,Note4, S7edge,S8+,S9+,. S10+ wich i still have as my backup phone,and im using now the S21+ for 6 months and i'm very satisfied. No hate to Apple at all,they are also amazing devices,but i'm used to the same menu at all Galaxy phones during the 12 years now. I never had any problems with the S21+ and i really love this great phone. Also i think the ceiling is reached with big upgrades. S21+ has a fantastic screen, camera's,battery, stereo speakers has a amazing sound. I'll keep my S10+ because it have the last curved QHD screen so even that I can sell it for 400€ i will keep it. I have a Galaxy S21 ultra and a midnight green iPhone 11 Pro Max and as far as I am concerned they are both great phones. But if I had to pick one of them I would have to go with the Galaxy because while there are things my S21 ultra doesn’t do as well as my iPhone, there’s nothing I my iPhone does that I need and things that my android phone can do that the iPhone doesn’t and I need. That’s why I will upgrade to the S22 but will hold on to my iPhone for at least another couple years. That and the fact that I’m not a huge fan of the boxy design 😅
You will be amazed to know that Samsung S21+ is actually a downgrade from its previous model S10+. The colors are way too muted, depth is poor and resolution is less too. It also removed 3.5 MM jack, removed adaptor from the package, removed ability to add external storage in S21. Not sure which direction samsung is going to. If the only aim it has is to match iPhone on every aspect it will soon see a downfall.
I’m to far invested in Apple. I had the 12PM but was far to hefty to haul around and went to the 13 Pro and now with the 14 Pro. Did I need to upgrade from the 13 to the 14? Probably not but I work hard for my money and love the latest and greatest 😂. The last Android I owned was the S20 and honestly don’t miss it but each there own.

@@Luke_4044 I don't think ToF is that useful. Even S21 Ultra doesn't have it. What I think is that base S model and the plus model needs to have better main camera and needs the same optimization level Samsung gives to the ultra.

I have started looking into switching phones again. I currently have the s8, but it's starting to be a lil slower and thinking it's time for an upgrade. I usually keep a phone for 4 or 5 yrs and then end up getting the newest model when I decide to upgrade. I always have gotten samsung so far, but I am starting to be more open to the iphone. I want a phone that does pictures and videos really well since that is what is used in place of cameras now a days. I wasnt sure about the iphone just because I feel apple is always overpriced, but I think the extra cost may be worth it if i get good quality photos with it. And it will help if i buy the phone at the right time if i can get it on a sale so it isnt full price then. Also thank u for the comparison videos u have helped a lot!

Magsafe is rather pointless for me - I would never put a wallet on my phone when I have a purse, and wireless charging is disappointing and I have no interest mounting a phone with the added distraction and risk of getting a ticket due to liberal description of driving regulations. I'd much rather have reverse wireless charging.
I think you get more bang for your buck with Samsung but if you aren't looking for more you should get an iPhone. Both are solid options for different types of people.
Flagships right now are so overpowered for majority of the users, I'm super glad there are midrange options which is more than enough for most people. Great example would be the Poco F3 for power users, Samsung A52s - Google Pixel 5A for all rounders, and finally the iPhone SE (2020) and iPhone 11 for iOS users.
However, while the smartphone's performance has become stronger, the specifications required by the app have also increased. Of course, mobile games are the same.
I always say phone to phone android is going to be better more so Samsung but when iPhone is paired with another apple device not so much. Things are changing now though with Samsungs partnerships. You probably have more fun on android with customizations and multitasking. A major advantage to iPhone is consistency and app quality.
It's only 1080 but no like on a series it's way better I have s21 plus the screen is just as good as I phone promise it's dynamic amoled instead super amoled
Im still on the s10 I think ill try apple for a bit of a change and maybe switch back after a while. To bad the sony xperia phones are crazy expensive. Loved those way back when.

@@darkherosolidox I have an s21. This is after years of having an LG phone then two Pixel phones and then a Oneplus phone for about a year and a month. I won't go back to stock or near stock after using my s21 for a month. I just can't. Though I kind of wish I would have went for the s21+ for the battery. Either way I enjoy the phone.

Then after that I had a pixel 4 xl for a year till that died to the black screen of death. BTW I was also considering the one plus 9 as well, but I am glad I didn't get that either. As a car guy, I use my cameras everyday just about, so yeah having a great camera is pretty important to me.
I have been a long time iPhone user, and this is the first time that I am strongly considering jumping ship and buying the S21 plus. So sick of Face ID in a time when many of us have to wear a mask in our workplace. Sick of a big bulky notch taking up screen real-estate. People say “you get used to it” but when you watch a video on it, you definitely know it’s there! The camera comparison that you did in this video, I actually prefer the Samsung (never thought that I would say that) at the 8:39 mark seeing the front facing video the Samsung clearly destroys the iPhone in this instance. The iPhone makes you look like you have jaundice! Love IOS simplicity , but at same time I have always felt as if I spent $1k on a phone that I can never really own and am told what I can and can’t do with it. Apple watches may well be the best on the market today, but that design 🤮. Guess if the person wearing the Apple Watch is a woman or a child it is okay, but for a man it looks like you are wearing a child’s toy on your arm lol. i've been happy with my oneplus 7 pro for over 2 years. fast charging, 256gb capacity, 90 hertz notchless display and most of all a well-thought-out android version. but iphone 13 pro really looks great. as you said, there's always tradeoffs
The iPhone looks pretty elegant, I really love looking at it and the way it looks. However, I think I am not going to enjoy how IOS works and all. But it is something I am willing to try and check if I am able to use it for a long period. Also, I noticed from all the video test from iPhones and their audio is so low like you are far far away from them. Maybe it's only me but that's what I've noticed.
Use android for phone (any decent phone brand is fine, currently use Huawei P30 and still loving it), use IPad pro(not necessary because of IOS) for tablet and use Microsoft for computer. *sigh why am I like this.

@@RiCH_926 same cause carry they spen pro just isn't a note replacement even though it brings the note features cause its 2 big and carrying around via case is possible but not comfortable at all and the round corner design I'm not a fan of its boring and the narrow aspect ratio I'm also not a fan of because watching contents and doing anything in landscape u don't get the feeling of a bigger display but the phone looks rather stretch n the bs they give is better 1 handed phone but we already have smaller screen as an opition 4 ppl who care bout 1 hand use just don't buy they ultra but wb ppl who love larger screen they have no proper opition because of that narrow display. During they old galaxy note timez the phone felt big because it was unique n had a proper 16:9 aspect ratio but know s21 ultra just doesn't feel like a big 6.8" as it's claimed phones r just getting more taller and I hate the fact that companies r talking the Sony approach atleast they s22 ultra is going 2 have a 19.3:9 vs 20:9 on they s21 ultra although 19.3:9 isn't perfect isn't better than the other competitors but the main reason behind the phone getting wider is because they spen is going inside n they battery size will still remain 5000mAh battery size I'm glad they r not sacrificing battery like they usually did w they note phones n note 7 exploded I hope samsung will slowly shift back to an 18.5 or 18:9 ofc I wouldn't want it 2 be a 16:9 because it's meant 2 be a phone not a tablet 16:9 6.9" is literally a mini tablet w less bezels considering 6.5" use 2 be a mini tablet at 1 point n 7" use 2 be standard size 4 mini tablet I'm in favour of between 16:9 n 20:9 2:1 or 18.5:9 is the sweet spot and will also allow more room 2 store a 6000mAh battery because if I have 120hz I would wanna game at 120hz n not just occasionally because rn 120hz is kinda a gimmick if I were 2 be honest cause the phone heats up to fast the narrow aspect ratio is also an issue because less room 4 heat to spread 18:9 is better 2 heavy intense perpous as more room 4 heat to spread means less heating issue.

Really looking forward to more iPhone 13 pro videos, Planning to get one later this year so would really appreciate a long term review.
Mike it was as if this video was made for ME. I literally just started looking at an upgrade and was seriously considering buying into the apple eco system, (I'm a graphic designer/general creative using adobe) so I work from ipad to iMac and thought it would be great to have a completely cohesive system which would eventually lead to an albeit pricey set up of airpods, watch etc which are undeniabley just that bit better than Samsung equivalent supplementary devices. I feel unhealthily nervous about moving away from Samsung. I've been with Samsung since the S5 and currently still sat on my note 9.

I can't afford the IPhone 12 pro renewed on Amazon nevermind the 13pro at the beginning of 2023. So I went for the S21 plus got it for $300 renewed on Amazon. Another discussion that should be had is that IPhones stay expensive for years while you can get a flagship Samsung a year later at half the price.

I have both and at times I miss the bigger screen on my s21+, but after a while there are the things I miss on my 13 pro, seamless connection with AirPods Pro, even though I have the galaxy buds live I have to always answer a call and click on Bluetooth and change to my buds live to accept hear the call on them. This happens even if I’m already listening to music or watching videos etc. Pictures are a different story, often in a perfect scenario the iPhone performs really well and does take really good low light pictures but distance is lacking. For a Pro name I feel Apple dropped the ball on this one.
Samsung Dex doesn’t get enough credit, at work I have to work with excel and it’s a wicked nice feature to be able to connect wirelessly to my LG tv and a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse combo is a game changer. I’m on the fence of ordering the S22 ultra, with attractive trade in value for my s21+ and employee discount through my place of employment I can get a 512gb variant for less than $700.00 delivered. They both are really great phones, for me the trouble of using both phones is definitely worth it.
You mentioned wireless charging your iPhone using the back of your phone charger you should mention that the speed of it is very slow and you basically have one for one percent meaning if you charge your iPhone 1%, that's one less percent from your battery which is predictable but I don't think it's very efficient
I'm still torn between the two. I have an macbook air that I use for personal use only and I dont like having everything tied together. I could easily have all of my photos in Google images which organizes itself for me. I'm not married to iOS or Android so this choice to upgrade and which way to go is so frustrating because I've owned both. The only thing that I don't want to give up is Facetime because my parents like to use that when talking to my son. What to do, what to do?

I have the S21+ (iPhones just can’t do the things I need them to do, such as directly sharing a picture from a website to dropbox, or refreshing an rss reader in the background). But the thing I really needed to comment on is that nightmode picture. I’ve been taking truly amazing night shots with the S21+, and I can’t imagine it delivering such a clunker of a shot… either your phone is not performing as it should, or you must have missed a setting? It should do way better than that, in any case. I took a picture of my drumkit (yay for fellow drummers!) in a dark room and it was as if the lights were on…
I can share a picture to Dropbox from a website. Just use Chrome, long press and copy image. Then go to Dropbox folder and paste.
Not sure what the problem with RSS feeds is as I can manually update.
As for night mode, Apple does not create as artificial lighting as the Samsung, just enough to give a shot. If you really need to get even more light then you have to manually adjust and the iPhone can have a 10 second lapse to get a much lighter photo (need a stand for stable shots). Or there are third party apps. Mind you, I rarely take photos in pitch black and not sure why anyone old think that is anything but a niche feature?

As for nightmode, you're right, the room with the lights turned off is not a good example. This past weekend we were staying at a castle, and it had fountains in its garden. At dark, those were lit up. Used nightmode for pictures of the dark castle and the fountains and the results were very impressive. So that would be a more "every day" application of the night mode ;)

The S21+ is currently a lot cheaper than the iPhone, and Samsung's prices always drop quite quickly apart from the fact that the S22 is coming soon. Samsung's resale value is poor.
With the iPhone, I like the very long support. With Samsung, it's usually over after 2-3 years, with Apple, you still get updates after 4 or 5 years.
But iOS unfortunately has a lot of restrictions and the missing fingerprint sensor is a problem especially in Corona times.
Visually, I find Samsung better, the iPhone looks a bit old-fashioned with the notch.
I currently find it very difficult to decide between Samsung and Apple.

I had a 12 pro max and that screen dimming nonsense every time the phone was outside or even got a little warm had me sell it. I've already seen people complaining of the same thing with these 13 pro/pro max so its a no go for me again on these.

I had the iPhone 13pro an I got board with it really fast cause it's like using the same phone every year..so I took it back an I got the s22 plus an I tell you it's a great phone...it does so many things that the iPhone does not do...now don't get me wrong I still love my iPhones but the Galaxy does so much more

Since 2010 i use Samsung Galaxy devices... S2,S3,Note3,Note4, S7edge,S8+,S9+,. S10+ wich i still have as my backup phone,and im using now the S21+ for 6 months and i'm very satisfied.
No hate to Apple at all,they are also amazing devices,but i'm used to the same menu at all Galaxy phones during the 12 years now.
I never had any problems with the S21+ and i really love this great phone.
Also i think the ceiling is reached with big upgrades.
S21+ has a fantastic screen, camera's,battery, stereo speakers has a amazing sound. I'll keep my S10+ because it have the last curved QHD screen so even that I can sell it for 400€ i will keep it.

I have a Galaxy S21 ultra and a midnight green iPhone 11 Pro Max and as far as I am concerned they are both great phones. But if I had to pick one of them I would have to go with the Galaxy because while there are things my S21 ultra doesn’t do as well as my iPhone, there’s nothing I my iPhone does that I need and things that my android phone can do that the iPhone doesn’t and I need. That’s why I will upgrade to the S22 but will hold on to my iPhone for at least another couple years. That and the fact that I’m not a huge fan of the boxy design 😅

You will be amazed to know that Samsung S21+ is actually a downgrade from its previous model S10+. The colors are way too muted, depth is poor and resolution is less too. It also removed 3.5 MM jack, removed adaptor from the package, removed ability to add external storage in S21. Not sure which direction samsung is going to. If the only aim it has is to match iPhone on every aspect it will soon see a downfall.
I kept my s10 and got the Iphone 13 Pro Max, best of both world :)

I’m to far invested in Apple. I had the 12PM but was far to hefty to haul around and went to the 13 Pro and now with the 14 Pro. Did I need to upgrade from the 13 to the 14? Probably not but I work hard for my money and love the latest and greatest 😂. The last Android I owned was the S20 and honestly don’t miss it but each there own.

I have started looking into switching phones again. I currently have the s8, but it's starting to be a lil slower and thinking it's time for an upgrade. I usually keep a phone for 4 or 5 yrs and then end up getting the newest model when I decide to upgrade. I always have gotten samsung so far, but I am starting to be more open to the iphone. I want a phone that does pictures and videos really well since that is what is used in place of cameras now a days. I wasnt sure about the iphone just because I feel apple is always overpriced, but I think the extra cost may be worth it if i get good quality photos with it. And it will help if i buy the phone at the right time if i can get it on a sale so it isnt full price then. Also thank u for the comparison videos u have helped a lot!

Magsafe is rather pointless for me - I would never put a wallet on my phone when I have a purse, and wireless charging is disappointing and I have no interest mounting a phone with the added distraction and risk of getting a ticket due to liberal description of driving regulations. I'd much rather have reverse wireless charging.
I think you get more bang for your buck with Samsung but if you aren't looking for more you should get an iPhone. Both are solid options for different types of people.
Flagships right now are so overpowered for majority of the users, I'm super glad there are midrange options which is more than enough for most people.
Great example would be the Poco F3 for power users, Samsung A52s - Google Pixel 5A for all rounders, and finally the iPhone SE (2020) and iPhone 11 for iOS users.

I always say phone to phone android is going to be better more so Samsung but when iPhone is paired with another apple device not so much. Things are changing now though with Samsungs partnerships. You probably have more fun on android with customizations and multitasking. A major advantage to iPhone is consistency and app quality.

I won't go back to stock or near stock after using my s21 for a month. I just can't. Though I kind of wish I would have went for the s21+ for the battery.

BTW I was also considering the one plus 9 as well, but I am glad I didn't get that either. As a car guy, I use my cameras everyday just about, so yeah having a great camera is pretty important to me.

I have been a long time iPhone user, and this is the first time that I am strongly considering jumping ship and buying the S21 plus. So sick of Face ID in a time when many of us have to wear a mask in our workplace. Sick of a big bulky notch taking up screen real-estate. People say “you get used to it” but when you watch a video on it, you definitely know it’s there! The camera comparison that you did in this video, I actually prefer the Samsung (never thought that I would say that) at the 8:39 mark seeing the front facing video the Samsung clearly destroys the iPhone in this instance. The iPhone makes you look like you have jaundice! Love IOS simplicity , but at same time I have always felt as if I spent $1k on a phone that I can never really own and am told what I can and can’t do with it. Apple watches may well be the best on the market today, but that design 🤮. Guess if the person wearing the Apple Watch is a woman or a child it is okay, but for a man it looks like you are wearing a child’s toy on your arm lol. The iPhone looks pretty elegant, I really love looking at it and the way it looks. However, I think I am not going to enjoy how IOS works and all. But it is something I am willing to try and check if I am able to use it for a long period.
Also, I noticed from all the video test from iPhones and their audio is so low like you are far far away from them. Maybe it's only me but that's what I've noticed.
