      I'm glad I bought it back, when you do a conversion like that it always feels like it's yours.

    Thanks for the video. Nice job. I hope you enjoyed using the van. It is always nice to look at other people's ideas. Have a nice day.

      Thanks for that, I had a great time working out the best way for me to lay it out and building it.

      Hi Lucas, thanks for the compliment, I bought virtually everything off ebay, just the insulation I got locally. Speakers and little sound system was £ 15.00 all in off ebay.

    Very good price for this conversion, I think I spent about the same on my last Vivaro (on my channel)

      Thanks, I sold it just over a year ago to someone just down the road from me, still miss it when I walk my dog past it every day :-)

      @@tonkennah Nice conversion. Did you install the roof rack? Just wandering how its done as I want one when I buy a vivaro.

      @@chatteyj Hi, no I was lucky, it was already on the van when I bought it, because it's so strong it can take a domestic 3mx2.5m awning on the side without any support legs like this one I got. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/313643631179?hash=item49069e024b:g:SrEAAOSwJj9hHhtc

    Stunning ; ) I just bought a new vivaro and looking for ideas you should post a video !

      Hi Steve, when you start building you'll find you need to crash on with it, I would have taken a lot longer if I was filming a lot of it. I have since the video put bmw alloys on it and a 3mtr wide x 2.5mtr canopy attatched to the roof rack, it is for a house but fits on a treat, only £130 off ebay new . www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3x2-5M-Manual-Awning-Canopy-Garden-Patio-Shade-Shelter-Retractable-Greenbay/311645047575?_trkparms=aid%3D555018%26algo%3DPL.SIM%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D51875%26meid%3Df3f9ca2dd1cc4c12ae1778c8c37c6ce8%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D12%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D332731742334%26itm%3D311645047575&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851

      slept 3 nights in it the other week when it was freezing, I don't think the 2" of celotex insulation is that effective when you have a lot of windows. I would stick to 1" if I did another one.

    Where did you bought the back side windows? Also I s just cut, seal and done? Thanks mate!

    • @tonkennah
      @tonkennah  5 лет назад

      very easy, cut with jigsaw with metal blade ( only broke 1 doing all the windows ) put on the mastic/glue supplied, stick em on, simples :-) I was a hairdresser before I retired last year so if I can do it anyone can :-)

  • @DEVINE.IMAGE.
    @DEVINE.IMAGE. 6 лет назад

    What did that cost overall and could you of done it without the windows

    • @tonkennah
      @tonkennah  6 лет назад

      overall cost of parts was £2000 plus the van cost. I could have done it without windows m would be a little chlostrophobic for me though, but I would have put in a rock n roll bed if I did with just 1 window in the door.
