I wonder how the drone noise and proximity of boats affected the orca?
That was a beautiful video. I just turned the volume down and enjoyed the view! Namaste. 🌎☮️🩵
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@brendahanick9515 I like the namaste, namaste to you too.
Beautiful Canadian Coast Nature...love it 👍
LOVE that baby whale tail at 2:02! How precious! Must have been a wonderful experience (sans the sound of drones and cameras). Incredible that the boats are quieter than the drones. I understand wanting to see things from a drone perspective - but I think people lose the experience of the moment while trying to get 'viral footage'. It's good to enjoy wildlife without a camera - to truly 'be' in the moment and one with the surroundings. Regardless... thank you very much for sharing! Just seeing the baby brings great joy!!
No Drone footage from us, the Drone was from the Research boat for their research into the behaviour and condition of the Orcas. Yes it was an amazing experience.
@@wildadventures0311 Nice to know the drone footage was for scientific research purposes that may benefit the local orca population. I did read in another comment that the drone was not associated with your channel. Thank you for your kind reply. Happy New Year!
Beautiful video even with that lawn mower sound.
It sure is
Super cool, thanks!
Glad you like it!
I totally understood what those tail slaps meant at the end, they said......... "that drone is really f-ing annoying, let's keep going, now!"
That must have been incredibly exciting ❤
"WHAT?" "CAN U REPEAT THAT?" "TOO MUCH NOISE!"
Would have been better if you’d just cut the audio: those drones are really irritating.
Why not show the experience from the drone perspective?
Not our drone.
How beautiful! 🩵
It really is
Thank you!😍😍💫
You’re welcome 😊
So beautiful, thank u
You are so welcome!
Great video 👍 didn't know you had Manitoba mosquitoes 🍁 out there
I absolutely love to watch wildlife videos and I love the sounds as much as the wildlife I also like to read comments at the end of the videos because sometimes I learn from what others have to say but more often than not it’s comments of people complaining for one reason or another I don’t leave unless they’re nice or I informative because negative comments are really a drag on my wellbeing and besides I’m in control I can stop watching no leave likes don’t subscribe and I know how to mute the sound so thank you for this video I’ve never seen them so close to the beach and now I haven’t to learn why thank you
Thank you for your lovely comments, we share our videos because not everyone is able to go to places like Vancouver Island and witness themselves. Negative comments are distracting and unnecessary, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Orcas rubbing on beaches is rare to see, the rubbing beaches on Johnstone Strait are restricted areas. This beach is a public beach, but it is policed by a group of enthusiasts who love the visiting Orcas. The Drone is from the research boat.
If only there was a way to turn down the sound.
Thank you for sharing this! ❤
You are so welcome!
we were out there a couple summers ago. Didn't know about the rubbing beach. We lived in the area for many years and didn't know it was there. Just happen to be back visiting and went out to the point to enjoy the ocean and found out they come in to rub there. I've even fished in that straight, had the whales come by had to wait for them to go past before putting the lines out again.
Thank you for sharing your experience
@@wildadventures0311 how bad were you affected by the Telegraph Cove Fire?
Drone noise really spoiled the video
So, you’d rather not have the footage?
Since no drone footage involved in video, no I'd rather no drone noise......None of this was from a drone so makes no difference to this video, all taken from shore ....smartass remarks arent helpful!
The drone was on the research boat, our footage was taken from the beach. We had only been there for five minutes when the Orcas arrived, it was an amazing experience.
@@RUclipsreplies the footage came from the guy with the clicky noise, it's called a camera 😞🇨🇦
@ Did you jump into that with eager anticipation in ability to demean? Did it make your day ? Did you think that up in your best Clint Eastwood voice ? I wasn’t saying the drone captured the video. I was relating how menial the background noise weighed in for me. Mangogrower would rather not watch the video because the background noise “spoiled it.” David Attenborough wasn’t consulted. I enjoyed the share.
How is he so close to the shores edge without getting stuck on the rocks/ bottom?? WOW!
STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL
Nice to see them up close!
Great encounter, but for me the drone noise spoiled the overall experience.
Get real
You should know by now: any wildlife video should be watched with the volume turned all the way down….not so much for drone noise, but because typically humans can’t keep their mouths closed and blab on and on while filming…
So, you’d rather not have the video?
You’re like those people that bought a car with no blinkers.
Then turn the sound down. 🙄
That is pretty close to shore. Must get deep relatively fast there...
They rub on the pebbles
@wildadventures0311
You can see where the edge kind of drops off quickly underwater...
@@wildadventures0311 When I was sunbaking off Bribie Island, Queensland. My toes were in the water when I glanced up as a fin was about one metre away. It was a relief when the dolphin moved to reveal its identity. When the fin first appeared on the video, I immediately remembered. The film is remarkable, thank you.
I was thinking the same. Orcas do go into shallow water, but their bodies are big. Most beaches the water wouldn't reach your knees at that distance. Must be a steep incline there.
wow
Monteray bay is beach then a deep drop so grays come right next to shore and pop out of the water to take a look at people on the beach its very cool steve didnt remember it😢 were does your head have to be to not remeber a mother and calf looking at you 4 feet away?
Thank you for sharing your experience.
Salmon are close in....all the storms stirred up the bottom
watching this, never gets old. what a delight. Thanks for sharing.
listening to the sounds, including the eagle chirping, and even the drone...lets us know how " real" the clip really is...awesome
You are welcome, glad you like it
You are welcome
As a drone pilot, myself, the drone pilot should know better…..keep your altitude up so that the noise is imperceptible, while zooming in to capture the video/pics you want.
Giant mosquitoes and it’s not even summer.
You can see this behavior all over BC.
Drone sound is very disturbing
Had an Atlantic bottle nose chase fish right past me close enough to touch ( but I just stood real still). Thrilling.
Thank you for sharing your experience
I wonder if the drone’s noise in any way distressed the whales?
Yes, they do. Drones must fly higher than 300m, and no closer than 900m. Whoever flew the drone is an A hole. Souther killer whales are critically endangered.
I doubt it, but we will never know
Distressed the hell out of me, them whales have to be bothered. Can't believe ppl would spoil their close encounter with all that din.
Some mosquito,s there ,Are they as big as drones?
Orcas must have really needed a scratch to put up with all your drone noise. I wouldn’t recommend trying to swim with them Kilroy.
Not my drone noise.
The boats are too close
They are Research boats.
Bucket list definitely 2025…..
You can turn it down
The boats are harassing wildlife. Not only against the law "stalking" animals, its also going to create bad wind and follow you as you are interfering with animals in their house, they will interfere with you at your house, have fun!
Looks like some orcas rubing on the beach. Sure looks like bear point.
It is, thank you for commenting.
Which bay or beach is this?
Bere Point, Malcolm Island.
These are beautiful creatures, sadly man has to attend with irritating drones and boats following them all over.
Thank you for your comments.
That drone noise is annoying. But inbetween the buzzing I heard some eagle chortles. Cool ❤
Drone gets thumbs down sorry, pls next time dont bother.
Not our Drone as I have previously specified, the Drone was from the research boat offshore.
@@wildadventures0311 I understand, my apology; I’m a bit quick with my judgment sometimes, respect to you for even being there and thanks for sharing, take care out there . If you come down to New Zealand I’ll buy you a beer. G
Through the filming is bad enough but didn't all that noise just ruin what could have been a beautiful moment? NOISE NOISE NOISE bloody awful.
We are really sorry that you did not enjoy what for us was an amazing experience.
I watched the whole thing. must have missed the incredible part
Sorry to hear that.
the noise on that beach is awful...
There is no noise from the beach apart from the Eagle.
@@wildadventures0311Wow!
FYI, Southern BC killer whales are critically endangered. Drones can be no closer than 900m, and must be higher than 300m. Boats cannot be closer than 400m. Lots of uninformed, self-absorbed twats out there that day.
Thank you for taking the time to comment.
FYI these are the Northern Resident Orcas and as already stated on numerous occasions, this is not our drone, the drone is from the research boat that is authorised to use it, we are on the beach and captured this encounter quite by chance.
@@wildadventures0311 Gotta love all of these marine biologist "experts" making their worthless negative comments.
Dont fly the drone where you’re standing.
The drone was from the research boat.
Black Death looking for sailboats.
Annoying background noise
I was just going to say those mosquitoes are ruining the ambience just like when I watch the old Japanese drama films they have all the caidids making all that noise.
Do people swim here? I would rather see an Orca fin than shark fin, even though I know both are in the sea. AAUUGHH!!
By the way, Orca fin more curved is apparently female and the straighter ones are males.
Curves for orcas too😸
Rare in north Vancouver island? I don’t think so. Hence all the tour boats.
Rubbing on a beach is very rare to see.
@ I don’t know…I’ve rubbed one off on the beach before.😁
What is that noise. Spoiling the whole encounter. 😢
A drone from the research boat.
The whales are all over here, and it is illegal to overfly cetaceans with a Drone. Look up the regulations before you do stupid shit 🥴🇨🇦
I will reiterate that the Drone that you can hear is from the licensed research vessel offshore, we were on the beach and used a handheld camera to take the video footage.
@@wildadventures0311 Okay, that's a very noisy drone 😉
Pretty obvious the footage is not from a drone. Think before posting stupid shit.
Maybe you should think about the stupid shit you post before you post stupid shit.@stevecarlisle3323
@stevecarlisle3323 maybe know what you are talking about before saying stupid shit.
