Same here! I like electric cars myself, but I just don't like when its pure silent like Tesla. And if you don't like it, you can always turn it off. Mercedes is doing something similar with their EQS.

I get that speakers are a engineering marvel in themselves but still. Not for me. That's why the legislation needs to let people drive petrol cars for a while longer. I'm fine with driving an EV for daily commutes, but let the people have fun. Petrol heads are not the cause of climate change, mass transit and daily commuting is the bigger problem.
@Alec The Car Guy it would easily go over 300 if it had more gears as combustion engines with less power and torque go past 300 kmh. As almost all electric cars have only one gear their top speed is not that great. Tesla Model S Plaid also has one gear but goes over 300. It revs at 20000, maybe even over 23000rpm which must be very hard on the powertrain.

They really downgraded the steering wheel and interior I remember seeing a gold plated steering wheel one honestly one of the reasons I wanted to get i4 is because of how nice interior looked in pic
@@MRBENZ_61 This is the i4 M50, just like for example the 3 series M340i isn’t the M3. It has M sport design elements, better suspension, more performance but it’s still not a “M“ car. You could compare them to the s cars of Audi (S3, S5, …).
@@lorenzmuller4000 I’d be surprised if there’s a ‘proper’ M version of the i4. Maybe some years from now alright. There was rumours of a more powerful car with three batteries but I don’t see that happening, this car is already heavy enough with two.
I don't care how fast electric cars get, I will always prefer driving a car with hood ole internal combustion. The exhaust note, the potential option for a manual gearbox, being able to modify the car, and no li-ion batteries needing to be replaced for tens of thousands of dollars after 5 years is too important to me to switch. Maybe if I'm just buying a car to galavant around town and using it for daily commute then maybe if buy electric. But if it's my fun car I'm good on getting an EV.

Max speed is limited to 225. It is easy to see from this video that it would go much faster.
