I know it seemed like he was the only one who wanted to keep fond memories of their time together unlike the rest who wanted to never look back and live normal lives
Luke Everson especially because he wanted to run away with her so bad, but he chose his loyalty to the gang first, and in the end it killed him. I felt so bad for Arthur, the gang was really his whole life and the way it turned on him was so sad.
Mr.Moist Arthur wanted to leave he just wanted to get the Blackwater money but then micha sold them all out to the government/the Pinkerton detective agency who pretty much were the authority at the time
Luke Everson ya but he was waiting til the gang was doing ok before he’d leave, and he took too long. I don’t believe he would of just left after he got the money.
1000% agree. I Really liked Marry and you could really tell that she really did care for Arthur even if she didn’t really like his lifestyle. And those agents scoping out John’s house really pisses me off knowing damn well how it all ends.
It’s a strange feeling, in the beginning it’s like a fun time and it’s a mess around, but the second Sean took that bullet the mood of the game flipped.
Exactly but I think it starts after arther dies because before that your like ok this is just the usual enemies and we just have to gun them all down but then you realize you can't shoot them all.
Remember when Arthur told John to "Never look back" and then John ignored that and took revenge on Micah, which is how Ross traced John, and we know what happens after, So John died because he looked back.
I'm pretty sure Ross was only able to find him because of cleets death was out in the open at strawberry. Depending on your choice of him dying by John or sadie killing him, shit like that is gonna be in the newspaper
And then John told Jack the same thing at the end of RDR1 and Jack didn't listen too and tracked down and killed Edgar Ross. I'd say the FBI hunted down Jack after he killed Ross and they probably killed him too :(
When Sadie and Charles left..... I don’t know what happened. I felt so depressed. It felt like I was watching family members leave and I would never see them again
@@UnintelligentVideoswhat are you talking about, charles went to canada and raised a family, tilly married a rich lawyer and is living a peaceful life, mary beth is a author
I realized Molly was trying to tell Dutch about the Pinkertons the whole time. She asked Dutch to talk twice and he never listened to her. Damn if he had 2 minutes to talk with her things could’ve been different .
David Lopez I'm confused, so did they get her drunk to make her talk but she didn't budge, but then she went back to camp and tried to tell Dutch what they did but he misunderstood and she was shot?
@@rubendiaz247 no, throughout the story molly mentions several times she needs to talk to dutch and he blows her off. at the end shes just drunk and says she was the one that ratted them out to hurt dutch, while in reality, long ago, the pinkertons tried getting information out of her but she didnt give any and thats what she tried telling dutch about
NoobNota R.I.P molly :( when Susan shot her on the back I went full quite for at least 1 minute. THEN I knew that the gangs time has finally come to an end.
Trey Gotti If you weren’t effected by their deaths that’s your business. I personally had a pretty hard time over coming the deaths of those poor souls, and if I could I would gladly take my place in their stead.
From the break up of the gang to the agents scoping out the ranch to Jack lighting agent Ross up near the river years latter can all be traced back to Micah. Rockstar went all out to create a character you can hate through two generations of gaming.
Literally. It's Micah's fault that the Blackwater job happened, which marked the decline of the gang. If you read Arthur's journal, he makes it clear that everything was looking up...the Micah. The minute Dutch started listening to that fool, everything went wrong.
@@madamebkrt it's also dutch's fault apparently why would he ever trust a gang member he only knew for 6 month than arthur who has been with him for 20 years
More than likely the next game will be about Landon Rickets I'm guessing, He was mentioned enough times during this game as a true Gunslinger of the old West.
The first time I beat this game, I was so taken back and overcome with emotion I felt obligated to watch all the credits just to show respect to everyone that made this game. That’s how good it is
Me too, i came to this video hoping to watch them all in one cene because of how impatient I am, realized that I loved the game too much and respected it too much t do taht . Isat and watched ALL of it.
Can we not just get a happy ending where everybody lives. Watching Arthur take his last wheezy breathes made me cry and I have never EVER cries at a game before
I noticed how Dutch was shown alot in the trailers of this game...almost more than Arthur. But in these ending credits...he isn't seen at all. That actually makes sense seeing how he eventually let his gang down.
Jerad Compton yeah i definitely felt like this is what connor shoulda kinda been like. charles feels multifaceted and complex. AC3 never really dove into his psyche to me. i still wish we woulda got a full game with haytham
@@jeradcompton759 Connor was a strong character with a personal drive I've never seen in any other AC game. The only problem he had is he had to be compared to Ezio, who was extremely likeable and had three games to shine.
Even 3 years later. The credits get me everytime. Especially mr Pearson looking at the portrait and Mary Linton stood at Arthur’s grave. In history this will be the best game of the century. The storytelling in this game is better then most Hollywood films. If I was a director I would love to make this series and expand the story.
It would be cool if they made this a “backwards” trilogy, like if they made a third one a prequel again. And in it we see how the gang formed. Like we could play as a young Hosea who is trying to build a gang with Dutch, raising young Arthur and John, and also trying to decide whether he should leave the gang with Bessie or not. The gang in those times was also said that they would steal from the rich and give to the poor (mentioned in Arthur’s newspaper article). Thant would be pretty interesting in my opinion.
@aguarnes actually in the first mission(or second maybe) he gives you a workhorse to sell at the stable, which he says he got from someone who tried to hold him up
@@HomemadeFlick I wouldn't play as dutch, can't stand the guy (and no doubt a lot of people feel the same) we've been set up in 2 games to dislike him, why on earth would rockstar make him a protagonist and expect people to bond or connect with him when we all know what he turns into?
@@MmostlyRandom I don't know, I'm with you on hating the guy from what we've seen on him but there could be something amazingly conflicting about playing as him and maybe seeing him as a better man. Would make his decent into being a real piece of shit a bit more tragic and impactful. Then again it would take a lot for me to not instantly throw him off a cliff when playing so maybe not.
Damn I was so mad when my horse died at the end. I kept the shire from chapter 2 throughout the entire game and never changed horses. I bought an arabian but it looked like a pony after the shire. RIP Arthur Morgan. RIP Earl of Hanover.
Mr. Steal your money same. All my horses are tribute to fallen characters. I had that shire from Hosea and kept it as a memory after he died. Same with Buell. Little did I know...... I don’t get them as John......
I’m thinking there might be. Visit Armadillo in RDR2 and it looks like they’re setting a scene for something. It could be that I’ve just missed something (although I’ve searched for hours) but there is a scripted event when you enter there for the first time with the Sheriff and then if you head to the saloon you’re given vague details of something sketchy going on with one of the members in town but when I investigate him and his premises I’ve come up with nothing.
I think there'd rather be a Vampire DLC. There's already a vampire that you kill in Saint Denis, plus the aliens, meteorites, ghost trains, and robots. There's a lot of supernatural material they could use. A standalone non-canon expansion where you play as Charles post-epilogue would be badass, hunting vampires and zombies in the bayou, or finding the Yeti or Bigfoot in the mountains. So much potential that'll unfortunately, likely never be shown.
@@KarlPablo80 Actually, it's theorized that it wasn't the kick that did it, but rather the extreme heat applied to Uncle's spine when he was captured by the Skinners and roasted over a fire. The lumbago parasite couldn't take the extreme pressure and squirmed its way out of Uncle's backside. It's very subtle, but quite a funny resolution to this story arc.
WBC 1999 I went to the store in hopes of robbing it.... found Pearson “John Marston?” “Good to see you again Pearson!” *aims pistol* “I’m gonna need all your money”
Pretty sad that charles and sadie dont even know the horror that happened to the marston family and pretty cool John never mentioned a word to know one to keep their identity safe.
Tanzim Chowdhury no. One of the most evidential theories based on the book that exists in GTA5 pretty much speculated that Jack went off to fight in WW1, then became a writer and wrote a super successful book called Red Dead Redemption.
Such a powerful story. Arthur is a man who was born into chaos and lawlessness, and thats all he ever knew. He killed and cheated and robbed, and put the gang before all else in life. One of the saddest parts was his love interest Mary. She tells him that he can never change and thats why they could never be together, and it destroys him. Because he believes her. It must have been even more heartbreaking to get the ring back. But in the end he did redeem himself. Not for her, but for him. Getting diagnosed with TB was his main reason for pursuing a better life. It opened his eyes to the fact that he has lived his whole life wrong, and now he can never create a better one for himself. Only those around him. He tells John to live exactly the life he'd have liked to, and sacrifices himself to ensure the golden hearted members of the gang escape safely. The story is about the struggle of two brothers to find redemption, and one being lead to it through the death of the other. Brothers for life.
Walter White is like a foil against Arthur; his lung cancer diagnosis essentially leads him into a downward spiral where he eventually becomes consumed by his own pride and power
I am relieved Tilly made it out alright, got a little teary-eyed seeing her with her husband and newborn child. I was fearing the worst as the story progressed. Seeing Pearson looking at the old gang photo was really moving. They went through hell and back, but were still a family. Mary visiting Arthur's grave.. another moving scene. Probably had regrets sending him that goodbye letter? Then again, I wished Arthur had left with her, he wouldn't have died alone like he did. Rain Falls overlooking the land on a cliff, then seeing a eagle flying past overhead... gave me chills. I got really sad seeing him old in age and his family are gone. Still wished Lenny had made it and Miss Grimshaw.. And of course, the agents tracking down John and finding his home.. brought back sad, tragic memories of RDR. Since we now know what will took place four years later.. All in all, Rockstar and the entire production team have really outdone themselves this time. From the beginning to end, I can tell they've put so much heart and soul in this game and it truly shows. The music, the scenery, the characters, the story... everything top notch. Made us cry at the climatic ending and the end credits. It reached to a point I wasn't playing a game, I was watching a film. Which I believe that was the idea all along. Thank You..
I feel you but then I thought with the amount of effort that was put into this game I’d be sitting there for an hour. And it was 1:30 am when I finished.
Yeah after completing the game I couldnt skip it those people did a hell of a job on this game I can read some names and appreciate the work for 10 mins
I always skip Credits but I love Red Dead Redemption I’ve been waiting for 6 years so I wanted to see all the names of the people who contributed on the game and I’m thankful for them for making such a masterpiece and a very beautiful and greatest story. I just love Wild West man. I just miss the Old California, my grandpa used to say California was liked Texas it was a 2nd amendment support after all the Outlaws was born in West.
I watched the 36 minutes of credits to pay respect to all thepeople who made this piece of art, and once more, guess what?, the include part of the fate of the characters together with an epic soundtrack!. Really enjoyed!!!
holy shit the credits were 36 minutes? I sat through them waiting for cutscenes and thought it seemed like quite awhile but i didnt realize it was that long lol.

@@xXMrMineLPXx just cutscenes. like missions, these cutscenes have titles ("Tilly", "Mary-Beth", "Rains Fall"...), but they just chat with John and leave, and that's it.
It would be cool if rockstar could update the first RDR with extra dialogues about some characters in RDR2. I feel kinda sad and empty when they never talk about their gang especially Arthur.
If they do make an RDR 1 remake it wouldn't surprise me if they also add dialogue referring to past characters. R* got the original VAs for John, Dutch and Bill so they could've also asked them to re-read modified versions of RDR1 lines as part of their contract for RDR 2. That's assuming there's a remake which I doubt.
If any of the games were to be remake, it would probably be Red Dead Revolver though. Not a lot of people played that and it's pretty much separate from the Redemption games. There's more potential in remaking Revolver than RDR1 when RDR1 would probably just add in dialogue about Arthur which shouldn't be enough to remake it. Still, I don't see Rockstar remaking any games. Although, if you mean remastered which is different from a remake, then maybe.
JesusIsLord Even more of a reason for Revolver to be remade. Like I said, a remake and a remaster are different. Revolver should be remade. Red Dead Redemption 1 should be a remaster.
Honestly this game got me emotional and that’s so rare for me. The music when Arthur is riding his last back to camp to confront Micah etc. When Arthur’s horse is shot and amongst the chaos he strokes it as it dies, whispering “thank you” oh lord that cut me bad. (RIP YEET) Arthur shuffling himself further up the hill to watch the sunrise during his last breaths. All of the scenes in this video and the music. Bravo Rockstar, you’ve truly delivered with this game.
Thank you Rockstar. You've created a masterpiece. Never in my life have I felt so connected to fictional characters. No other game has caused me to shed as many tears, laugh as many laughs, smile as many tears, as this game. Truly something beautiful I will remember for the rest of my life. Thank you. 10/10.
Just finished it myself. My god what game this was. I took a looot of time to finish it because I found myself getting lost in the world, listening to conversations, camping, riding the open country, meeting side characters, etc. this game came at a turbulent time for me and I guess it was a really great way to find solace in life at the time. I share your sentiment so much. One of, if not the very best games I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing.
@@MarkDanov I just finished it for the 2nd time today. Truly fantastic game. Somehow it gets better each gameplay. I actually took the pleasure of doing most of the side missions this time around though and it was very rewarding. I also flipped the choices around too and it was still pretty satisfying. I don’t think there will ever be a game on a caliber this good again, at least not for a long time. It felt so real, so genuine and heartfelt. Thank you Rockstar. This is truly a masterpiece crafted from heaven ❤️🙏🏽
"Revenge is a fool's game" - Arthur Morgan "Go. And don't look back" - Arthur Morgan to John Marston "I am a fool and I will die a fool" - John Marston in a letter to Abigail Roberts John died a fool, because he played a fool's game - revenge
Gta is more like satire which half the time isn't even trying to be serious. Red dead has much more literary value as it usually takes itself serious enough to get the players invested and goes to great lengths to ensure an authentic, believable and immersive world. Gta is overall much more lighthearted except for gta4 which tried to be more gritty and serious. But the only ending in that game that came anywhere near to be as hard hitting as either rdr1 or rdr2's is the one were roman dies. Nobody gave a rat's ass about that bitch who's name I don't even remember.
@@canonisensys1653 it's not hate its irritation because everyone is hating this game because it's not gta 6. Its very sad because this game is a bigger masterpiece than gta 5 but people are biased
Arthur had Mary Linton, if he wasn't in such a shit situation he would have ran off with her to start but he cared to much for her to put her in danger and he cared to much for the group to leave them behind
Even though Mary over Arthur's grave is really sad, I can't watch it without laughing because the actor for Arthur was the one who actually did the mo cap for Mary in this scene
It was nice to see all the gang members living a simple life. I'm so proud of Pearson and I felt the feels when it showed him looking at the photo on the wall of all of them around the wagon 😢
7:11 The three deers , the middle one is Arthur reincarnated with his little son Isaac to the left who died and his lover who died on the right to him! Amazing symbolism
Jamie McDonald the credits are general it shows the deers for the ones who were good and then they show the lone wolf later for the one who had the wolf for being bad. I guess the ones who had the wolf wouldn’t understand the meaning of the deers and vice versa. But Arthur being good and the way he died was the true ending because redemption means to be a good person after doing bad things so it was natural for Arthur to change and become good so I don’t get people who made him remain be a bad person with a bad honour! Anyway I am talking too much lol
Nikola Fima my honour was in the pink ish area until *SPOILER* I found out Arthur had tuberculosis, after that I got it all the easy up to the grey/white.
VrethrenVater my honour was always at 100% goodwill. It went to 95 ish when freeing that piece of crap for a rat. But I still remained good as Arthur thus I was back at 100% goodwill. I can't see Arthur being bad, it just doesn't fit him. He's just a guy that's trying to survive without causing harm to anyone. Like how men used to say back in the day "don't go looking for trouble and trouble wont look for you".
4:00 this bit actually mm cryed because I really liked Pearson and it shows that the gang splitting apart really effected everyone, and how he missed the old days when everyone was like family
Rockstar need to make Red Dead their main franchise now. This game showed Rockstar can make a work of art when their heart is in it, GTA 5 was a rushed mess story wise. This is pure beauty.
AbsoluteXXIV It really wasn’t a rushed mess though. It was a very exciting and, at times, laid back crime adventure. But without a doubt, Red Dead Redemption 2’s story is miles ahead of gta 5’s, and one of the best stories of the decade, if not THE best. But something of its nature would be too deep for a grand theft auto game.
Correction. GTA is mainly for shits and giggles, a franchise of satire, humor, and edge. Red Dead Redemption is more personal, adding a sense of realism to the gameplay, something we're not always accustomed to with rockstar. There's intimacy and realism in both, but GTA is geared towards the less serious players, whereas if you want a good story, Red Dead Redemption is the answer.
They shouldn't. Yes it's probably their best franchise story and content wise. However you don't want to milk out something that good. It's easy to bring out new sequels of GTA because they can do over the top nonsense. It's a lot harder to come up with a deep and meaningful story based in the wild west. I personally think they should remake the first Red Dead Redemption and keep it at these 2 games. I'll buy a Red Dead 3 for sure. But this will keep the franchise special.
Yeah so the best video game of all time. Hands. Down. There is no better story, no better attention to detail, no better atmosphere, no better characters ... I’ll never forget how this game made me feel while playing. It was like I was there, in some of the most beautiful and mostly untouched land the world has to offer. The year is 1899 ... oh man I wanna play right now.
Disagree about atmosphere and story. Story is great, however i think the plot was stronger in first game and objective was more clear. Witcher 3,TWD and SH2 have just as great stories as well. In terms of atmosphere nothing beats original Silent Hill 2.
This is sad cuz Jon and Arthur are trully good pple but they both die eventually ,John looks happy and greatful to be with family it's happy but sad what happens in 1911
It teaches you something. We all die. But it doesn’t matter. John is happy then. Revel in what happiness we find when we find it. Because we all die just the same any how
Calling them "good" people is a stretch. But I certainly think they deserved another chance. They were raised in that life and did try to get away from it eventually.
By far the best game I have ever played. If a video game can make me shed a tear when Arthur's horse goes down and then moments later with Arthur passing looking into the rising sun. That got to me. I never felt that way about a video game before. Rockstar blew over every game that had ever been made proving that not everybody gets a truly happy ending, even though Arthur helped John escape to be with his family which made him happy. I was at peace with that. I wish we knew what happened to Karen and Trelawny (I don't think I missed them). I was glad to see Arthur's grave. I really hoped the player would have the option to bring Mary and him together. Even a last goodbye in person. That is how I saw the game ending. I ultimately can't find a single complaint about the story and epilogue. I was pleased with the John Marston aspect of the game very much and gave very good background information that I did not expect. It may not read like it but I am truly speechless with how great this game is. Worth the two year delay. Thank you Rockstar Games.
I think it happens for this game because the characters are so complicated, therefore, oh so real. People cry in movies and those are usually just 2-3 hours long. RDR2 was well over 100 hours of gameplay, if you just stuck to missions and doing a few collectables to get the perks that came with them. That is a long time to share and be immersed in a story. Not only that, but it is like a book because YOU are experiencing the story through the protagonists eyes. Makes it much more powerful. Very few video games achieve this level of immersion (though I still have complaints about Arthur's magical satchel yet we have to endure hours of rain for weather "realism"). IN any case, my point being that the player shares hours with these characters - longer than it took me to read any book, (except perhaps Crime and Punishment, but that's because I hated it and had to read it for English class regardless). The part where Arthur says good bye and thank you to his horse really got to me too. Especially since I made a point to use the horse I first bought for Arthur at the beginning of the game - when I realized the story was rapidly coming to a tragic close.
Pearson looking at the gang photo shrunk my heart, My wife and kids were there watching and I had to hold my tears because for them is only a game but it felt more than just a game.
They really did a good job with RDR2. Seeing the end credit scenes last night was bittersweet for me. I loved seeing John and Abigail's marriage and how happy they were along with Uncle, Jack, Sadie, and Charles. Seeing Mary-Beth and Tilly leading happy lives was also great. Hell, even seeing Mrs. Downes and her son happy along with Rains Fall looking to be finally at peace was satisfying as well. It also set up the events of RDR1 so well with Edgar Ross tracking John down and then ending up at the ranch at 6:35. It's kind of depressing because we all know what happens next but at least John and Abigail got to have some happiness on Beecher's Hope before Abigail and Jack gets arrested and John is forced to hunt down Bill, Javier, and Dutch to get them back. Then.. well... John gets put down like a dog because he's no longer useful anymore. John really should have listened to Arthur's advice of never looking back AND Abigail pleading with him to not go. Revenge is a fool's game and Arthur knew that.
Kyle The Celt I also found out what happened to Reverend, when finished the game go to Saint Denis buy all newspapers, and somewhere at newspaper 48-54 you can see what happened with reverend, he just went back to a church and became a priest and sorted his life out. And trelawny idk still

was depressed for 2 days straight after the ending of arthur....i hate when games pull of endings like that !. rather liked to see the gang intact. game also felt pretty damn empty after the epilogue when charles left...started a new game and i'm taking my damn time with it this time around..
Arthur and John tried their best to redeem themselves from a life of bad choices but neither were able to escape their past unscathed. I'm afraid it has become a staple of this series to have the protagonists dying in the end. The entries with the word "Redemption" in the name at least.
one of the part i enjoy the most is when Micha leave in his hideout after killing the whole town of strawberry. returning to Micha is the last mission i do when none are longer available. god the camp was cooler without him

Such a beautiful, really touching game. It had the best writing/storytelling I’ve ever seen in a game. This epilogue is so heartwrenching. Seeing Arthur’s grave, Pearson smiling at the photo of the gang, seeing them all wander the world after all their adventures together, as a gang... one of the most touching stories ever. :’)
Glad to see some of the gang members makes it out alive, and most of them have a good, normal life now. Pearson running his own general store, Mary-Beth becomes a writer, Tilly married a lawyer and already have a child to look after. I hope Charles and Sadie also lived a normal life after all of this event. Also Swanson apparently is doing well in New York, good for him then, Wonder what happen to Karen
And in case anyone was wondering, Josiah Trelawny settled down in Saint Denis with his wife and two sons, although he kind of does the disappearing act with them too.
THIS IS HOW YOU DO A “REVENGE IS BAD” STORYLINE. TAKE NOTES NAUGHTY DOG. When Arthur was talking to Tilly for the last time and saying goodbye i damn near teared tf up. Easily in my top 5 games ever
Red Dead 2 has almost nothing to do with revenge. It rewards you for getting revenge. Red Dead makes you hate Micah the more it goes on. TLOU2 attempts to make you feel for Abby. Whether you think Naughty Dog did a good job is your opinion. But Red Dead is not about revenge.
@@Ari-ww3fv 2 big lines in this game are "revenge is a fools game" and "you always said revenge is a luxury we can't afford" these are especially important when you remember John's revenge leads to his death. Revenge if nothing else is still a huge theme of rdr2.

1000% agree. I Really liked Marry and you could really tell that she really did care for Arthur even if she didn’t really like his lifestyle. And those agents scoping out John’s house really pisses me off knowing damn well how it all ends.

Red dead redemption, aka, all my friends are dead
Remember when Arthur told John to "Never look back" and then John ignored that and took revenge on Micah, which is how Ross traced John, and we know what happens after, So John died because he looked back.
Jimmy Sinclair true
I'm pretty sure Ross was only able to find him because of cleets death was out in the open at strawberry. Depending on your choice of him dying by John or sadie killing him, shit like that is gonna be in the newspaper
Arthur also never believed in revenge, fool's game :(
Revenge is a luxury we can’t afford
And then John told Jack the same thing at the end of RDR1 and Jack didn't listen too and tracked down and killed Edgar Ross. I'd say the FBI hunted down Jack after he killed Ross and they probably killed him too :(

From the break up of the gang to the agents scoping out the ranch to Jack lighting agent Ross up near the river years latter can all be traced back to Micah. Rockstar went all out to create a character you can hate through two generations of gaming.

Christopher Columbus tbh I’m hoping for an undead nightmare 2, with all these survival elements, it would make a great zombie game

And of course, the agents tracking down John and finding his home.. brought back sad, tragic memories of RDR. Since we now know what will took place four years later..

Rockstar need to make Red Dead their main franchise now.
This game showed Rockstar can make a work of art when their heart is in it, GTA 5 was a rushed mess story wise.
This is pure beauty.
AbsoluteXXIV
It really wasn’t a rushed mess though. It was a very exciting and, at times, laid back crime adventure. But without a doubt, Red Dead Redemption 2’s story is miles ahead of gta 5’s, and one of the best stories of the decade, if not THE best. But something of its nature would be too deep for a grand theft auto game.
I agree that this should be their main focus for now on
GTA V was not rushed, it's a parody of modern culture. Red Dead is serious in tone. Apples and oranges
Have u play any other video game besides rdr2? Lol?
Tilly turned out to have a good life. It's super sweet. Same goes for Mary-Beth.
Carolyne Geng yeah that's awesome. But I really hate saint Dennis for some reason...it looks like a shity city to live in.
@@1ofHenrysMen It's a big and polluted city-- I wouldn't want to either. But big cities have more opportunities, so it was a necessary evil.
Carolyne Geng I guess for tilly's case then yea sure
This is sad cuz Jon and Arthur are trully good pple but they both die eventually ,John looks happy and greatful to be with family it's happy but sad what happens in 1911
Rakeem Francis John does not die
Laurence Elliott I’m guessing you never played rdr1
It teaches you something. We all die. But it doesn’t matter. John is happy then. Revel in what happiness we find when we find it. Because we all die just the same any how
Calling them "good" people is a stretch. But I certainly think they deserved another chance. They were raised in that life and did try to get away from it eventually.
I never wanted this game to end
The open world exploration never ends but the story does
By far the best game I have ever played.
Lol me too
They really did a good job with RDR2.
Wish it showed what happened to Trelawny and Reverend Swanson
Kyle The Celt and Karen probably drank herself to death lol
Kyle The Celt there is a newspaper you can buy that says reverend Swanson joined a church in New York and gave a powerful sermon.
Kyle The Celt I also found out what happened to Reverend, when finished the game go to Saint Denis buy all newspapers, and somewhere at newspaper 48-54 you can see what happened with reverend, he just went back to a church and became a priest and sorted his life out. And trelawny idk still
They talk about Trelawny in chapter 6. Pinkerton caught him and he died in custody. Never gave anything away to them
Wal Nutz that was leopod that German guy who collected debts
0:12 All of them looked so happy
0:37 I'm not crying you are
1:34 I really hope Charles eventually moved to Canada and settled down.
2:14 I'm glad Mary-Beth got to realize her dream of becoming a writer.
2:33 Can this game stop tugging at the heart plz?
3:17 I can't think of a character who deserved a better ending than Tilly Jackson
3:55 No matter how bad it got at the end, even Pearson can't deny that there were happier times
4:50 I really hope whatever Sadie ended up finding down South gave her some form of purpose again
5:30 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
6:30 That moment when you realize (if wasn't obvious enough) that John Marston was never gonna get the happy ending he and his family deserved and wouldn't teach Jack to become a better man than him
7:40 RIP Eagle Flies :(
Eagle flies lives. You can find him again :)
Johannes I think you are talking about Rain Falls, Eagle Flies father
Rene Valdez John should have left too, then he would have had a chance.
Eagle Flies was Rain Falls' son. He dies in the story.
Rene Valdez go to Valentine's train station you'll find mary-beth there
you can find tilly in St. Denis in the main st. sitting there
go to Rhodes general store to find pearson, he owns the place now
I've just finished the game, I'm actually still in the credits.
At the part when they show the deer 7:06, it makes me remember what Arthur said about his past. That he got a wife and a son and I think it's them.
He got his Redemption and he's now free. *RIP* ma boah
Loved how Charles started to dance with the priest
Remi is it just me or did the priest look like swanson
@@foxtrotgaming1283 its not. swanson became a priest in new york

This game better have single player dlc Charles in Canada or Sadie in southamerica would be neat.
Robo beaver A lot of people liked Sadie but I wasn’t a big fan of her, so I hope it’s Charles, or can we have a dlc of the younger gang or maybe the black water job
Sadie was just annoying tbh. Not sure why she was pushed into the main plot so much as well, especially the end. Charles was great though.
She went to Brazil and was stolen and died end
@@eRrOr1006 what??? How do you know that?
Charles was honestly the realest nigga of the gang. I'm really glad he was on Arthur's side and also got out along with Sadie.
was depressed for 2 days straight after the ending of arthur....i hate when games pull of endings like that !. rather liked to see the gang intact. game also felt pretty damn empty after the epilogue when charles left...started a new game and i'm taking my damn time with it this time around..
Arthur and John tried their best to redeem themselves from a life of bad choices but neither were able to escape their past unscathed. I'm afraid it has become a staple of this series to have the protagonists dying in the end. The entries with the word "Redemption" in the name at least.
one of the part i enjoy the most is when Micha leave in his hideout after killing the whole town of strawberry. returning to Micha is the last mission i do when none are longer available.
god the camp was cooler without him
Said everyone who ended the game ever
why do u care about arthur
We better get some dlc where you can play as Arthur again
Is that a joke? if it aint a joke then you most be very stupid
@@Anton-vy5xq Yeah I know he's dead obviously, it's just I miss the character.
@@Anton-vy5xq Plus the dlc could be a prequel to the game or in-between
Do the same thing they did with John, make a non-canon supernatural DLC.
Anton Dennig that’s what they did with John in RDR1
Finished this game almost a year ago now. Watching this still gives me chills. The music is so on point and it's so satisfying to see the conclusion of everyone's story
Who's cutting the damn onions
Red dead redemption makes GTA 5 look like trash
No, they both good

GAVIN! You should see your friend man!
Gavin! Gavin! Damn Nigel searched for you for years and years now... He's still alive in 2020 thanks to some strange time travels, and so you are, go meet each other!

5:29 That part hurts a lot
4:34 wait a minute, is that Archie and Edith Downes? hell yes! at least they were able to clean up and move on to something better.
Yeah I loved to see this part they didn’t look depressing anymore and poor they looked fancy I was happy
There's a cutscene you can find in game where you run into them a few more times, the final time you rescue Edith from her life and give her money to start anew. The fandom wiki says she later built and owned a golf course and became lavishly wealthy.
Just finished this game. Truly a masterpiece. Most beautiful game I ever played.
I can’t even bear to complete the game again. Arthur’s death is so sad
It was always a dream of mine to experience what life in the 1800-1900s was like. Through the medium of this game, I not only got that, but I got to experience a beautiful story with amazing characters. Thank you Rockstar!
This video makes me sad but it also makes me proud to have played it in my lifetime future generations won’t understand this masterpiece the way we all did❤️❤️
True
Up until Charles says he found gave Arthur a proper burial, I was hoping Arthur survived .. somehow …
Had me crushed ..
What a game !! What an absolute beautiful experience!!
I wish Arthur was at the John's farm. Arthur is a lovely character.
While building johns house, you can see a bluebird in the background in multiple shots. I believe this symbolises Arthur watching John rebuild his life and make it into something.
It's better than any other game ending.
It's equal to RDR1'S end though.
I think it's even better (more sad) because you know what will happen years later
@@crissanchez709 yup.
I wonder what happened ahead to Charles and Sadie and fat man.
Did Ross get them one morning day as well?
I shudder to think of that possibility.
better than any other? bold words my friend.
Isn't Charles the same dude at 7:43? If so, he will be, along Pearson, Mary Beth, Sadie and Tilly, the ones that made it to old age without Ross on their asses, not that he will be able to do so anyway...
xman40100 no thats the chief (ive forgotten his name), its eagle flies or rain falls or something
6:27 the Pinkertons watching John the distance is so dark
You can find Pearson at the general store in rhodes
2:14 You can find her at the train station in valentine
I felt fulfilled yet empty after it was over. Especially going back to the old camps and hearing the voices. No other game has impacted me this way
This game and The Last of Us 2 were the only video games I ever cried over. What an absolute masterpiece.
Karen was reported dead in a newspaper.
And in case anyone was wondering, Josiah Trelawny settled down in Saint Denis with his wife and two sons, although he kind of does the disappearing act with them too.
@@feralchangeling97 which newspaper
@@themightypizzadevourer6018 Annesburg I think.
I really wished they added a scene where John and his family go visit Arthur's grave.
Uncle is *Red* , Arthur is *Dead* and John found *Redemption*
@@thatoneguywho7834 john was still screwed either way even if he didnt get his revenge because he put his name on the bank which Ross wouldve found him. He just got found quicker due to killing Micah.
I do agree tlou2 story was really retarded. I get that they wanted us to see both sides of the story but Joel dying in like the first few hours, falsed advertised him in trailers, giving his name easily when abbys gang had guns around and few other bad writing killed it for me. Not only that but dumb having to play as the killer. Literally after joels death, abby has no remorse or anything with them just eating a burrito -____-

I like how this game goes basically full circle: it starts in the snow and ends in the snow
Red dead redemption 2 is by far the BEST Rockstar game ever!! Without a doubt. Even better than GTA SA
I’m so happy Pearson got his own store
He deserved it for cooking for us all those years
i couldnt skip the credits in respect to those who gave so much time and love to create this amazing game, i think i read all the names of the folks who brought us this masterpiece of a game ...well worth the wait
Shows up rain falls and then an eagle flying... I see what you did there
Inb4 RDR3 is Charles’ adventures in Canada
That would be awesome!
Or a game before RDR2. Maybe arthur being raised in the gang.
Or Sadie in a journey on Brazil 😀
Or completing Jack Marston's story.
Or a new story
The credits scene of this game has to be the GOAT.
This game is so heart wrenching. I cried so much.
