They might have it work if they had included away that someone can use a purchased third-party projector and then could buy into their subscription model. I only walked past the the projector when it was at the internet price and never looked back at it again so I don't know if they do support that. But in this day and age since there's so many digital sewing patterns people don't always want to spend the time cutting the pages apart and regulating them back together. So if they even had a additional way to upload pre-purchase patterns or have a third Market built into their platform to sell digital patterns they probably could have gotten the $300 easily. The $700 did not make sense to me at all because of just a projector plus support and the support didn't seem worth the $500 plus prescription fee. When I can go anywhere to get a projector for much cheaper let alone making sure I had the space and the table set up correctly for investing into a projector system of any kind. But if they made it so people could create their own patterns sell their own patterns onto their website and have it automatically work with their proprietary or projector combination they might have sold more units or at least made money like Etsy does off of each sale.

No One likes a product you can only use with a Subscription or an App. that you must pay for to use. With this dramatic lowering of price I would not think it will be supported in any form for long.

BUT - will you be able to use PDF patterns, if not now then in the future? I think that’s where they missed the mark to start with! Still it’s tempting to buy it just to try out the new technology. Hmmm.

As someone who has bought computers and expensive embroidery software, DITTO will stop supporting or upgrading also. IMO: Don't buy and don't buy a new gizmo.

I just bought mine for 199.00. They only have a few left in the Sewing departments owned by Husqvarna Viking inside JOANN stores. I can design my own patterns via my software so it works for me. I believe they dropped the price due to how easy it was for everyone to hack the way they designed it because everyone just made their own worth a projector just like everyone havk8ng the Cricut not having to use the sticky mat which is a terrible design & so unprofessional.
