I just got approved for the Green Card yesterday! 1 month after getting approved for and receiving my Blue Cash Everyday. Glad to say MY Amex trifecta is complete, and it all started with the Gold card I got this past December. I'm so glad to be a part of the American Express family!

You would have to use the check spending power button only if you’re gonna make a large purchase. Like if I’m gonna buy a new phone like an iPhone. For every day purchases I wouldn’t use it and even then you’re only able to check three times a day and if you check it too much, you can get a financial review with American Express. Use it sparingly.
Another great card! I’d definitely use this card for transit mostly because I’m always going through tolls. I agree with you though, that Amex Blue Cash Preferred seems hard to beat! Great information 😄👍
If you have Navy Federal or if you are able to get Navy Federal, I think their cards are a better alternative to this. The Navy federal more rewards offer 3X points on transit, grocery stores, gas, and restaurants/dining out with no annual fee and the Navy Federal Flagship card offers 3X points on all travel, transit and 2X points on everything else and a $100 global entry/tsa pre check statement with a 49 annual fee.
I keep this card in my wallet along with the Gold card. The Platnium card only comes out when I'm booking travel or actually traveling. The Green card is great for booking via 3rd parties
@@devilangel4655 as long as I get value out of them, I'll continue to pay those annual fees. I actually pay about $2k in annual fees but I use my cards for everything, travel for free or close to free so it works for me. I wouldn't recommend it for everyone. Especially if you don't travel a lot

I use to have it. But the $150 was not for me. I have the More Rewards Amex card. With Navy Federal credit union. That does the same thing and No annual fee. And I never use the green card very much. Plus I have 4 cards 💳 with Amex ! 👍🏻

Gas and groceries on the Amex Blue Cash Preferred for incidentals and the green for everything else. Now I got cash back for BCP annual fee and Reward points For travel with the green. Definitely worth it.
imo I think the amex green is good if you want a few card amex setup, but comparing it to the CSP or CSR, it's hard to justify for me. Especially since the Clear credit, only cover it partially.
When I had the gold card and I downgraded back to green, I learned that the hard way that buying food from a concession stand at a game does not code as restaurant. I would’ve had to use a card like the blue business plus which is 2X Up to $50,000 Instead.
I have having this card for 3 to 4 months now and it’s two types of use of credit card I mean American Express establish you a credit limit for any carry-balance and monthly payments with interest and a charge card after your card limit but there’s an option only and the website where you can turn on only the charge card option and can use it on all purchases wanted and always use the spending limit power to know if your transactions will be approved by American Express and to avoid unnecessary calls to American Express but I do love the card since in your credit report they report your card as a charge card and that’s classified as other accounts on your report.

Charge cards are great because it does not affect your credit utilization since you don't have a preset spending limit.
