Hype is real on this one. Got it in and wore the real Layton on one arm and the clone on the other. I can’t tell any significant difference. My son, whom is also in the hobby can’t tell a difference either.

You know, call me paranoid but I wouldn't spray something on my skin that has an unknown manufacturer. Our skin can absorb quimicals that end up in our system. Great review. Thank you!
It’s not an unknown manufacturer, it’s orientica and in Europe this is sold as orientica xclusif oud, but it’s packaged and branded as an Al Haramain (orientica’s sister brand) for sale in North America because it’s a better known brand here.
That amber oud exclusif bleu is a collector’s item. And a killer perfume.

Upon spritzing my newly acquired 60ml bottle of AOEB, I was amazed to find that its scent was 99.99% similar to Layton, which left me in a state of pleasant shock and wonder. Additionally, it ticks all the boxes when it comes to Layton OG (pre 82% reformulation), including high-quality ingredients, a long-lasting aroma, and powerful projection.

It smells EXACTLY my 82% Layton, no Vicks Menthol smell tho. Performance is wayyyy better, but if I had to nitpick on smt, I would say this smells deeper than layton.
Rushing out yesterday morning, sprayed 4x. Got three compliments from strangers, which I rarely anticipate. It was really nice.

Same here in Germany. The only option is buying it in the US and paying the import taxes and shipping which pushes the price to $160/100ml. Pretty much not worth it, might as well go for the real thing then or buy decants.
I’ve owned this for quite sometime and I love it. One of the few clones I bought a backup bottle for. I love it.

Do not be you are correct! Al Haramain make the Amber oud lines they also make detour noir their amber oud lines are just closer to the originals they are cloning with better concentration 👍🏾

I have both latest is A.O.E Bleu which smells a hair more refined. But I would repurchase D. Noir over A.O.E for my skin D.N. lasts longer with more sillage.

I bought Amber Oud (Harmain) - it's nice. Longevity is not that great. At least it was not expensive. I probably won't buy it again. I find Armani Code Parfum / Profumo does the job and gets me more compliments. Women I ask prefer the Armani as well (without knowing it's Armani at first).
Ok, so the first question that springs to mind (being a medicinal chemist by trade) is: if there is no website etc etc, then is this stuff safe to use? Like are you sure there are no harmful/carcinogenic chemicals used in the synthesis? I dunno man, I would be hesitant to buy such a thing.
Great video! I have to pick up a few of your recommendations especially the Paris corner since I'm a vetiver lover. The Rochas and Vintage Green sound great too. The 2 that interest me most are the Just Bergamot and Rochas for the giveaway.
Detour Noir is wonderful, almost my signature scent

I have OG Layton and I disappointed from the performance, so I just bought the xo blue by orientica, just like lyton but 10x stronger on the vanilla and the spice, not get as much menthol note like the OG Layton
I think amber oud exclusif is like exclusif oud by oriantica , they have this company before in 2021 and now they release this line by name xo

Loved to hear your opinion on Camara Contra Exquisite Latin Royal Edition Eau de Parfum. This stuff is a powerhouse and tho I can’t afford the original if this smells anything like Layton then PDM Layton is amazing.

I can't comment on the original as i've never smelt it, but exclusif bleu is beast mode on my skin. I get whiffs of it all day long and its smells beautiful and high quality all day. One of the best fragrances in my collection for sure.
I have both al harmain detour noir as well as detour rouge , detour rouge is simply better i dont get the noir hypetrain

I actually prefer AOEB to Layton. The menthol note of Layton has actually given me headaches before, and it's a touch milder in AOEB.
I have detour noir, it is my favorite scent so far, i am waiting untill i empty it and go for this exclusiv bleu next time. i wonder what is better than my noir! i want to experience it.

FYI, exclusive is not part of the Al Haramain brand or company. And also the exclusive blue is in a true parfum concentration. Higher oil which is how true parfums last longer.

Just purchased this stuff about a month ago and have the OG Layton. I also have the detour Noir (DN) dupe and this one is definitely “better” in every way possible and very close to the OG. In fact…after dry down and especially to a non-wearer…ie, someone else in your vicinity…I could not tell the difference. Others on the market…most recently the north stag deux…but I’ll wait on that one until I get through this bottle.
That's why I hate perfume influencers. On one video "this" is the best clone, next video "that" is the best clone...from the same person...

I also live in Germany,... I am going to wait until it is more available. It is pretty hard to get now. I think that is what makes it so expensive. I think it we wait 4 months and buy it in July/August the price would have gone down( I HOPE)

No kidding, not paying over $1 a ml for a clone from a clone company ripping off another clone company's name.
I have seen on fragrance X reviews of this fragrance where people who have bought it said it actually lasts and projects longer than original Layton, also saying smells richer and just better overall, so I guess if you wanted a better version than the original then price point could be warranted I guess

I just ordered Detour Noir and Al Harmain exclusif Blue I do have Contra Exquisite Latin Royal Edition and it's a clone of PDM Layton and it is not bad but I'm totally excited about getting both of them.
What’s the verdict
Al haramain has a better Layton clone then detour noir under their orientica line called royal Blue. It’s not a 1:1 it’s a twist but to me it performs better then Layton. It’s less spicy and has amped up apple and vanilla. I enjoyed it a lot. For some reason many fragrances don’t push off my skin but Royal Blue is the first one I ever had where I was getting strong whiffs of it a couple of hours later. I just ordered amber oud exclusif. Can’t wait to see how they compare

Definitely intrigued by this, tried Layton on skin earlier today, great scent but it faded to a skin scent immediately, I’ve heard there’s been reformulations and it’s crazy expensive, Amber oud exclusif Bleu is just hard to find

It is 98% close. Sprayed Layton then AOE Bleu and couldn’t tell a difference really. I would imagine that in the air it probably smells 1:1 because of how close it is to skin.

This is exactly the same juice as Orientica xclusif oud blue. They just put it in another botlle with another name. Because they want to let people talk about it and sell more.

it's not the same this is exclusif bleu and it's not from al haramain it"s a whole different company be careful al haramain version is named bleu edition and this one is exclusif bleu

The Amber Oud Exclusif line is made by Orientica.

@Mikaiyel Miah Yes, but if you look up who owns the trademark to Amber Oud Exclusif it's Orientica...for 2 years exactly today. Also, if you look at their Xclusif Oud line almost everything is the same even down to the juice being used.
The price of AOEB is around €180 arm. So the original Layton is cheaper 😂
I can’t agree on everyone’s opinions for this one. Just made the purchase and I can’t understand the hype. If it really is like Layton, then I am grateful I didn’t waste my money on the original. There was no place locally that has small samples or has a tester, so this blind buy was disappointing.
Ash have you tried Lataffa- Badee Al Oud - Amethyst yet? Rose and amber fragrance... I picked it up a few weeks ago and am very impressed, unisex frag, apparently a clone of Atomic Rose. Would love to see your thoughts on it in a review.
Honestly one of the best colognes I have smelled. I love rose. I tried a sample of zaharoff signiture Rosé and didnt like it much. But Amethyst is incredible. So cheap and still gives you everything a fragrance should.

I was questioning the same thing but I bought this like 8 months ago and it's the best thing I ever did. I tested this next to my 15ml decant of actual Layton. After testing for days, this is better than Layton to my nose. Absolutely nuclear if sprayed 3+ times.
