Getting to work has been a challenge to me as a freelancer. I can often tend to procrastinate and not get work done. At that time, I use the pomodoro technique to get started and build the flow. It goes like this: Schedule a 20 minutes timer and push yourself to work for that timeframe. Initially, the inertia would be strong and you'll feel distracted but eventually, you'll get into the flow of work. Many times, I've worked for longer than 20 minutes too. For this situation, it works every time!
So. What I'll be doing are - -- Putting calendars -- using technology -- self whatsApp group -- maybe diaries -- alarm and phone!! Tysm:) You're a saviour.
I try to follow a few hacks as well. 1. Setting up a timer while studying. 2. Asking my friends to push me so that I study 3. Redecorate my room every now and then because this helps me feel organized and not monotonous. 4. Morning Prayer. Morning prayer helps a lot! Communicating with the Al Mighty at the beginning of the day automatically makes you feel happy and active. 5. Sticky notes! Write down some taunts when you are wasting your time and you won't believe how effective that is.
*GOOD VIDEO; EVERYONE NEEDS MORE THAN THEIR BASIC SALARY TO BE FINANCIALLY SECURED, THE BEST THING TO DO WITH YOUR MONEY IS TO INVEST, MONEY LEFT IN SAVINGS ALWAYS END UP USED WITH NO RETURNS,*
Hey Ankur, I can very well resonate with these hacks. I remember my college & school days of taking running notes, drawing/scribbling (never knew which would be called mindmaps of new age :-D) something on my notebook while teachers/professors were teaching. Some of them wouldn't like us writing anything on paper but to listen to their lectures but I wasn't of that kind. That habit is still continuing but with restrictions because of my movement disorder (Neurological Condition). Still I could figure out the android's speech to text feature coupled with Google Notes, very handy. Moreover the self mailing hack for getting reminders, backing up things, managing limited free drive space by google all this came naturally as they say "need is the mother of all the innovations". I thing just because of parents embibing discipline right from the childhood is so significant in India. Nice to know that I am on the write track. I shall soon share my own productivity hacks evolved out of survival instinct & compulsion of leading life with dignity :-)
I used to look at my phone quite frequently to look at Social Media apps which reduced my productivity. I will suggest few things which helped me: - Uninstall Apps (not deactivate account) which are not used frequently but their notifications gets your attention. You can always open your laptop and check the notifications when you have time. - Turn off the notifications of the apps if possible. - (Might not work for everyone) Remove the app from the home screen, it should be in the app drawer. Also, try to change the location from the drawer frequently as our hands will get used to the location they are currently on. I think Social Media are now an important part of life but we should be looking at them only when we want to socialize. The goal is that we should be looking at apps when we want, not when they ask us to. For urgency, people will Call, SMS or WhatsApp. We don't need to get notified of other things.
I am a researcher. Sometimes it becomes impossible to get into the groove to do mental exercises and attain focus. In that case, I just do math. For half an hour. That brings me back into the zone. The flow is very important in the research where I can isolate myself from rest of the world and focus. Math is my gateway to do that.
1. Don’t try and remember everything (carry 3 notebooks) - (ideas, to do list, note taking) 2. Document everything 3. Put everything on a calendar 4. Schedule email to self for sometime future 5. Use technology for everything you can use 6. Sharing Calendar with wife 7. Making whatsapp self groups 8. Having an afternoon nap 9. Setting the right environment 10. Doing things that activates your senses
It's always great to hear you! BTW after watching this I came to know 8 of those 10 things is what I'm already doing in my routine. I'm grateful for you to know me those 8 are actually good to follow!
Another thing that has worked for me and most people I know is the effect physical exercise has on boosting your productivity. Say you're just sitting in front of a screen all day, be it online class, work meetings, or just constantly sitting in your chair for extended periods of time, your back and shoulders are under stress. What you can do is some basic stretches for your back and shoulders (my university actually sent us videos for this by mail). Also, when you're feeling slumped in the afternoon or evening and you still have lots of stuff to get done, just 5-10 mins of walking helps clear the mental fog and you can get a fresh start to the task at hand.
Hey Ankur, turning of the notifications from all apps in phone , Skype, teams in laptop felt peaceful and made me focus on the work and not get distracted.
Hi Ankur, Loved many idea specifically whatsapp group and email scheduling. I personally use Google keep for notes and Google calendar. Very nice background for new videos.
A sudden change in calender noticed by Ankur sir in morning @8, wife:- "dudh leke ana aur iss baar wheat bread leke ana pichle baar bhul gye the isiliye pin krliya calendar mai"😂😂😂😂😂. Just kiddi'n I loved this calender thing cuz I'm a great procrastinator. I love to forget things so that to extend my leisure time.

You have such a homey feeling it just feels good. Thanks for the advice, I knew these hacks but now you really put the nail in the coffin so I am gonna implement these today. Again thanks.
Few hack work well for me. 1.During work time in order to not get disturbed by notifications/messages on phone I turn on focus mode. I have work mode where I only give access to work relates apps. I have a self mode, where I give access to apps that will help me to learn something or just focus on my well being(messaging apps excluded). 2. Also I have created an extra Instagram account where I only follow accounts that help me with quotes, positive content and accounts related to my domain of work, so thereby I use Instagram just for personal and professional wellbeing. 3. Also I have set timers to all the apps I use most on a daily basis. And when the time is done it will disable the app for that day. These few hacks have helped me tremendously and I wish to implement more hacks from this video.
I am an intermediate student and watching this most inspiring video and he always helps us to tackle our problems that we used to face during studies ✌️✌️🔥🔥 excellent sir 😍
Great video. Can we have something on tackling procrastination and handling family responsibilities. This channel has been a great help for someone like me that has recently started their career. Thank you.
Hello, Sir. Thank you so much for the hacks. I do practise some of them already. I'd like to add something to point no. 10 as discussed by you. I am a teacher and after taking too many classes in a row, I do get tired. I start feeling sleepy after lunch but, since taking a nap is NOT an option, I brush my teeth. That's right, I carry an extra toothbrush and a small tube of toothpaste in my bag. This works for me in making me better focussed and rejuvenated. If I'm at home and have quite a few tasks at hand AND I am tired, I take a bath, brush my teeth and apply perfume. It is not only refreshing but also effective in making the brain more alert and myself motivated to work.
Very helpful video. Thanks for sharing these hacks. Fact: afternoon nap is known as qailulah in Arabic. Qailulah is the word used in Islamic literature to describe midday napping/siesta. Interestingly, Islam, the religion of the Muslims, advocates midday siesta as a form of religious practice since it was preferred by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
Thank you so much for sharing this information. I will definitely be adding some of these hacks to my to-do list. From last 4 years, I have been doing one hack of sending an email on my birthday with what I would like to achieve in the coming year. I keep looking at that email whenever I feel I need the motivation to be more productive.
Listening on 1.25x. it's actually perfect at this speed. Love the new setup, but the book shelf wala background is ❤️. Fantastic, Value adding video as always. Thanks AW.

The single most important app that I have been using for my productivity for almost 4 years now is "Smarter Time". I have used and continue to use all kinds of productivity softwares and similar stuff, but none so religiously like smarter time. Overall, it's the second most imp. piece of software i use daily, after Google Assistant. Please use this and make a video on it if you love it cause I don't want this app to shut down as I haven't seen a lot of people using it and/or making videos on it. It really is a hidden gem in the universe of productivity (more like one of the infinity stones for productivity).
Productivity hacks that works for me are: 1. Using my interstices for tasks like creating my to-do list, scheduling calendar, catch up with friends and family. 2. Identify time windows my brain is most active and present during the day and reserve them for the tasks that need max focus and attention.
I m an teenager & i must say that i like your perspective to see the things in a simple way and more flexiable way as like ' Pani Ki एक-एक Boond se Khara padta hai' as most of the motivational youtuber only talk about motivation, race, competition that induces agression in our mind ,that competition that always resisited our flow of mind ......and one more things i like your voice it is so peacefull

I also love the creative visualisation and the little doodles in the book for making us understand better. this was my first book on aspects of life like time management, relationship with parents, finding the right career and much more. I'm just 16 and there's a lot to learn... but credit to these books and the author that helped me to put my step in the right way.
I realized something today. I like your videos so much because it was my wish to create such content. You are Good Sir. When I see your videos I actually think I am speaking to the public and most of the content is a reassurance to me. I believe all these things and try to replicate it in my life.
Thanks a lot for this booster video. I am a sophomore at an engineering institute. I generally use forest app on my phone and laptop to block out the distractions I may be facing
When I used to stay with my mum, she used to play songs every morning just to wake me up and at that time I always used to wonder why my mum does this, how it instantly wakes me up and the important part was that I woke up happy. Now, I know why was this happening. My mum is such a genius, she knows how to make me do anything and She'll do in such a way that I'll be happy doing that stuff.
@@ShreyBakhai no, of course you don't, I'm sure your mum is as awesome as mine, this is just something that she came up with because i was so reluctant waking up early.
1. Go for a walk..put some target on health apps..it somehow motivates and makes us happy after completing the target plus it adds value to health 2. Follow your passion it can be reading light book for 10 min..listening music..dancing...I do play guitar for that matter 3. Drink water..it may sound easy and not helpful...but it is.! It stimulates the tissues🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Actually its not only drinking water but drinking any hot liquid. Think of it cold makes us lazy so heat will make you energetic. Water is very good as it is hydrating. 70% of our body is made up of water and all the cellular processes happens with in aqueous environment. But I drink 4 -5 mugs of herbal tea (kehwa) everyday, which also adds in great antioxidants, antiinflammatory, immune boosting natural chemicals.
I have a dog and he wakes me up everyday by 5.30a.m. This is such a happy alarm for me that really works in maintaining my sleep cycle even during lockdowns.
I seriously liked many of your hacks. Beautifully explained sir. I instantly applied WhatsApp self group idea.(We can find it very easily scrolling at the bottom of WA. There were few groups where I was the only one left. So, now I used it for myself.) Even I had one idea which I didn't tell anyone. So I wrote it down on a diary and posted it in my personal WhatsApp repo. 😉 One thing I am already working on is.. the last hack you said.. Make home environment like Workplace. I already did it from last 1.6 years. And it helped me growing in my professional journey. It works for sure. Thank you Ankur 😇
One additional point I feel is 'eat less' our body doesn't require so much of food. Eating more will make our system to work more and we end up feeling fatigue.

Well..this is a very simple one.. I turn off the notifications of those apps or chats which are not important but at the same time can distract me..and i set a particular time to check these apps (just in case something important comes up). For example, the link for my classes comes on the telegram group..so i have just muted other chats.. except that one group.
Superb Hacks. Mostly I use them. The only thing I want to add is that - You become old only when you start thinking you are getting old. So Dear Brother - Be always YOUNG.
Thanks buddy! I just got *Refreshed* after watching your beautiful documentation about productivity. Awesome. I have one hack that is BREAKS take breaks after successive time period like (20mins, 30mins, etc) then take a break of 5 mins and see your productivity go up ( note do something fun in these five minutes) and as always thank you ankur sir for this amazing experience....
One productivity hack that I personally use is for using small little alarms, where if I have to remember something for a very short period of time and do it as it is important, so I simply create an alarm with the note of that perticular task, so this way, the alarm rings and that particular task as the note shows up and it quickly helps me in remembering that particular thing. The tasks can be anything, like a meeting which is about to happen in next 2 hours or maybe any important live cricket match, or an important call that you have to make today or in next half an hour or simply "motor band karna" etc.. It is very helpful.
I am 17 and I am using the WhatsApp group hack since last 3-4 yrs...it's honestly very helpful for getting my little tasks done...I liked a few other hacks too so gonna give them a try as well...thank you sir! And of course the background is awesome! ✨

Time Blocks are a great way to allocate time and not overwhelm ourselves with tasks and be “busy” instead of being “productive”!
That's like my major issue. I stay busy instead of being productive. Please suggest a good time blocking app, if you know one. Thanks!
I like to block time, but external issues like phone calls come into the way, what to do?
Noting down the random ideas you get is the best thing because once it goes out of your mind it is very hard to recollect.
So. What I'll be doing are -
-- Putting calendars
-- using technology
-- self whatsApp group
-- maybe diaries
-- alarm and phone!!
Tysm:)
You're a saviour.
I try to follow a few hacks as well.
1. Setting up a timer while studying.
2. Asking my friends to push me so that I study

I will suggest few things which helped me:
- Uninstall Apps (not deactivate account) which are not used frequently but their notifications gets your attention.
1. Don’t try and remember everything (carry 3 notebooks) - (ideas, to do list, note taking)
2. Document everything
3. Put everything on a calendar
4. Schedule email to self for sometime future
5. Use technology for everything you can use
6. Sharing Calendar with wife
7. Making whatsapp self groups
8. Having an afternoon nap
9. Setting the right environment
10. Doing things that activates your senses

Nice
Hi Ankur,
Loved many idea specifically whatsapp group and email scheduling.
I personally use Google keep for notes and Google calendar. Very nice background for new videos.

You have such a vibe man. It’s so cute and wooden feeling and I just can’t express it. Like I wanna call you sir but then I get confused if I should call you bhaiya 💀.
Thank you.
I once read that making your most favourite song as the alarm tone eventually makes it your most hated song.
Happened with me once . How my alarm tone is pikachu
Thanks AW.

So nice of you
The single most important app that I have been using for my productivity for almost 4 years now is "Smarter Time".
The best productivity hack I know is love what you do. When you do things with love and passion everything falls in place automatically.
Blown away by the production quality of this video! Excited for more :D
Yay, thank you!
just want to suggest that if we keep favourite song as our alarm, eventually we start hating that song because its breaking our sleep every morning .
Hahaha. Hasn’t happened with me
I was going to say the same thing 😂😂😂
Yeah I agree to that. I too end up hating that song😂😂. Having an enough sleep is also important so it's easier to wake up.
Then I guess, that means some other song is your favorite now & its time to change your alarm tone!!
You have not just said the fact but its literally a true reality😂😂😂
Nice setup ankur!
Productivity hacks that works for me are:
1. Using my interstices for tasks like creating my to-do list, scheduling calendar, catch up with friends and family.
2. Identify time windows my brain is most active and present during the day and reserve them for the tasks that need max focus and attention.
These were wonderful hacks. I am now, a bit positive that I at least use 3-4 of them. Thank you for the flawless video.
I think because of the new set up people will implement your ideas more often from now.XD
Google Keep
my 2nd most used app🙌🏼
Most used one?

hello! I'm here after reading your two books 'Do epic shit' and 'Get epic shit done' and to be very honest they were the easiest read. the way you explain all the little aspects of life is exciting.

When I used to stay with my mum, she used to play songs every morning just to wake me up and at that time I always used to wonder why my mum does this, how it instantly wakes me up and the important part was that I woke up happy. 1. Go for a walk..put some target on health apps..it somehow motivates and makes us happy after completing the target plus it adds value to health
2. Follow your passion it can be reading light book for 10 min..listening music..dancing...I do play guitar for that matter
The most amazing vedio I have ever seen. So effective and powerful. Thanks Ankur. Love ❤
I liked the idea of whatsapp group for only yourself.. this is a good way to grab the ideas and any content for myself
I seriously liked many of your hacks.
Beautifully explained sir.
I instantly applied WhatsApp self group idea.(We can find it very easily scrolling at the bottom of WA. There were few groups where I was the only one left. So, now I used it for myself.)
Even I had one idea which I didn't tell anyone. So I wrote it down on a diary and posted it in my personal WhatsApp repo. 😉
One thing I am already working on is.. the last hack you said.. Make home environment like Workplace. I already did it from last 1.6 years. And it helped me growing in my professional journey.
It works for sure.
Thank you Ankur 😇

Omg you are exactly like Adarsh , My husband. I lost him last month of covid. He used to do all the hacks you shared. He was just briliant. This video just popped on my screen today and reminded me of him. Thanks for sharing it to people.
Well..this is a very simple one.. I turn off the notifications of those apps or chats which are not important but at the same time can distract me..and i set a particular time to check these apps (just in case something important comes up). For example, the link for my classes comes on the telegram group..so i have just muted other chats.. except that one group.
Even I have a whatsaap group for myself since 2.5 years! It's a great platform to record and make notes for ourselves
Productivity hack no 11: listening to Ankur daily and improving day by day
Superb Hacks. Mostly I use them. The only thing I want to add is that - You become old only when you start thinking you are getting old.
So Dear Brother - Be always YOUNG.
Self Whatsapp groups. I follow this for a lot of years and people call me weird, but it's a great hack for productivity and remembers things.
My first investment with her earned me profit of over $25,530 US dollars ever since then he has been delivering
Thanks buddy! I just got *Refreshed* after watching your beautiful documentation about productivity.
Awesome. I have one hack that is BREAKS take breaks after successive time period like (20mins, 30mins, etc) then take a break of 5 mins and see your productivity go up
( note do something fun in these five minutes) and as always thank you ankur sir for this amazing experience....
That whatsapp self group I've been using this hack for 4 years. It's the most convenient way to take note of anything. I repeat most convenient.
I am already doing hack number 7 since last 2 years, happy to see this hack here.
I am 17 and I am using the WhatsApp group hack since last 3-4 yrs...it's honestly very helpful for getting my little tasks done...I liked a few other hacks too so gonna give them a try as well...thank you sir! And of course the background is awesome! ✨
Amazing pointers!!I keep away from social media, from incessant scrolling that is. It gives me peace of mind and hence promoting productivity!
