Great short film. Truth is I lived this as well growing up. However I chose to stay in the gang and put in work. All for nothing. I ruined my record, put my family through hell, all wasted time. In the end my own gang and our different sets ended up trying to kill each other. Lost homies and now that I'm in my 30s I look back and realize it was all a fuckin waste if time and life but I learned alot. I try to tell every youngster I see to change their paths, but truth is, most people will never learn until they go through it and experience that life themselves. I hope as many come out alive and wiser. Stay blessed my gente.
You may not have realized it, but every second, two people die. What happens then? Is there a Heaven and Hell? Are you "good enough" to get to Heaven? Look at the Ten Commandments. Have you ever lied or stolen? (regardless of value) Ever looked with lust and therefore committed adultery in your heart? (see Matthew 5:28) You may see these as "no big deal" but God sure doesn't. He is Holy and said, "be Holy, for I am Holy." God sent His Son, Jesus, to live the perfect life we never could. He took God's wrath on the cross for sinners. Jesus paid the punishment for our sins against a Holy God. Then He rose from the dead. Cry out to God for mercy, confessing and forsaking your sins. Put your trust in Jesus (rather than "good works") to save you. Read your Bible daily and obey what you read. Please don't be mad, I really care about you and everyone else who reads this. Take care.
on god this is true I might be young but ive seen this cycle happen with me, my family, and my homies and no one ever sees whats really going on until after the fact. after we shed tears for someone we care about that we'll never get back.and after we get sent to die for people who wouldnt do the same for us. we can try to pass our experiences and knowledge of the world onto others but they never believe us until it happens to them.

unfortunately the society we live in hinders us to those conditions of life or should i say survival. We have seen time and time again and its time for all of us to make the change some how, because their is a better way. Peace Brother
Unfortunately JACK KUNZ we live in a society that segregates and pins us in run down neighborhoods where not only are over ran by corrupt cops but also gangs, its the way they will eliminate us if we dont change the way we live and how we react to our surroundings. They are betting on it! I'm glad to hear your brother made it through, for that is the way we shall fight back and overcome.
This was a really good film. And I know a lot of people dont understand certain things about that type of life, but when youre from that environment you know. I grew up in the same environment, and I lost a few friends along the way. It never got easier and you never forget
I cried because....I had a friend...named Eric Sandoval who shot and killed by. A local gang shortly After I studied the Bible with him. He was 15. It was a VERY difficult thing for his Family to go through. This was back in 96 but this film made me get emotional about the whole thing.
Rip to Eric Sandoval and hopefully he knows he’s still missed by you and his family of course we all have our ups and downs it’s how we deal with them that shows were not giving up and keep pushing forward. Keep on a straight path and show your friend he’s not forgotten have a great day and a brighter future.
I grew up in a gang on the West Side of LA & saw almost all my homies grow up to be losers, alcoholics, drug addicts, pintos etc including myself. Pretty soon our gigantic hood was gone, it was all for nothing, what we lived for then. You can die for a varrio, but the varrio won't die for you. As a matter of fact, I had one big guy homie try to kick my ass claiming I wasn't bad enough for the hood, you know how that turned out, being a veteran street fighter like I was. My two brothers & sister were all in the same gang, now they're long gone. After that, not one of our children have grown up being in a gang, so I guess coming from experience, we taught them all to become a somebody , and enjoy life. Get yourself an education, or trade, whatever, but something you can make a living at, leave that dumb shit behind
Its tough being locked up for any amount of time but doing a stretch like that was EXTRA tough. When its all said and done you made the right choice as well as I did. Ill always have a part of me thats down for the cause but Im not looking for it like i use to. Still represent my City ( Los Angeles) just more wise. Earn respect and it is given back. Another thing like you said is to educate yourself and go for what you know because sometimes we dont get another chance.
Yea me too Nigga try to rob me my homie new who it was Got the burners and did what we had to do I got 13 years and my nigga got life Shit Sucks getting locked up

The acting is actually really good. Especially in the scene where the step-father comes home and sees that he didn’t clean the yard. Very realistic acting

You can be gangster your whole life, just can't be a gang banger your whole life. Once you have kids an shit you leave the petty shit for the younger vatos.
Great job! Loved the message behind it. I’m from South Central LA and I can relate to these kids joining gangs out of neglect from their own homes, it’s sad but that’s the way it is. If you guys ever need help for a future film I’m available I go to Cal State University, Los Angeles going after a film degree I would love the experience.
I met my homie through another friend, just a few years younger than me, we clicked up and became almost inseparable, he would pick me up and we would go to the wrong side of the tracks to pick up hynas and cruise all night, he came from a Christian family, he was a good kid, he just happened to like the Chicano style, dressed cholo and even got himself a lowrider, so then i met my babymama and gradually started spending more time with her, in the mean time my homie was introduced to the dope game by a "friend" and got him to slang his dope, so one they his "friend" decided to rip off some mayates from out of state that came down to pick up a few kilos and convinced my homie to jack these fools money, needless to say these mayates were hardcore and weren't having it, they kidnapped my homie and torture him asking for their money back, so these fools get on the phone with my homie's "friend" demanding their money back or they will kill my homie and his "friend" said i don't have the money so kill him, so they asked him to repeat what he said and put the phone to my homie's ear and he heard his "friend" say: "kill him", when my homie heard this tears came running down his cheeks and the mayates caught him on fire burning 95 % of his body, only to die a couple of hours later, to this day i know for a fact if i hadn't met that hyna, I'd probably died that night with him. What I'm trying to say is not everybody is your friend, you should know who's who and who's not, you catch my drift?
The reason i know he had tears running down is because my homie took along for the ride a friend of his, he survived that night and was able to get all three arrested, didn't mentioned it cause i didn't want to make my story that long to read
Great work growing up my best friend was killed right in front of me the image still runs thru my head .i miss him so much would have grow up to be a great man

biggo meat so you think your tough then? You have to pull your weight and do your part and be responsible sooner or later. He’s giving a house to live in and cares for your mother. Being lazy and not helping out the home shows ya just a immature kid who doesn’t appreciate what’s really being provided. So take you lil tough azz somewhere else. Eventually you’ll mature and see there are no free rides. Even in the pen you gotta follow rules and clean your sht up. Might as well learn to be responsible young.

It’s the lack of human/family connection that leads to drugs, gangs, prison, and death. If you want to change the way you feel help someone else whose hurting. This is some of the best acting and camera work I’ve ever seen from a group this young
ToXiC Ebro yeah I agree
Thank you very much.
First off I wanna say RIP to the young man Gerardo Rivas.
Secondly I would like to say that this short depicts the daily bread for most of growing up in the hood no matter what Raza u are, well done.
Lastly I wanna give props for an excellent job done here I loved the cinematography you guys are pro status. Ke viva la Raza
Yo Manuel Sr. I got a lot of GOOD TO SAY but will save it for our private talks I tip my hat to you my boy watching Manuel Jr. play you freaked me out it was like seeing you at that age all over again I passed it to everybody in my circles out here in Texas had me in tears knowing I talked to the homie 15 minutes before!!!!! Good job!!!!
unfortunately the society we live in hinders us to those conditions of life or should i say survival.
Lord please lead us all to everlasting life in Jesus Christ holy name amen
Hahaha vato loco
The step dad knew what was going to come
This was a really good film. And I know a lot of people dont understand certain things about that type of life, but when youre from that environment you know. I grew up in the same environment, and I lost a few friends along the way. It never got easier and you never forget
I relate Im growing up in the same environment
The gang boss is “No-doze” from breaking bad Season 1, he was Tuco’s bodyguard.
I can do that too, hold my gun 💯god bless you
Hopefully you touched his heart that night and he was saved.
The higher the socks, the downer the foo
Aren’t they selling those socks on (foosgonewild) page on IG
The downerest of downer downed lmao
I need a part two tbh like this is a bad part for a cliffhanger
All you had to do was clean the damn yard CJ!
Hahaha fr
Great short film Big ups rest in peace to your brother. Mad respect for making this is in his honor!
Get yourself an education, or trade, whatever, but something you can make a living at, leave that dumb shit behind
i can relate to your story in every way.
I also did ten years by the time I was 27
Its tough being locked up for any amount of time but doing a stretch like that was EXTRA tough.
Yea me too Nigga try to rob me my homie new who it was Got the burners and did what we had to do I got 13 years and my nigga got life Shit Sucks getting locked up
I remember them youngster days. I got older, grew up, wised up, paid my dues, took my respect, and stayed out the Bullshit. 2 Strong Arizona South Side.
When the dad was about to cry man I was going to cry.
wow i learned from this, this is why my parent don’t want me to go no where I’m blessed to have my parents.
Real shit... wish that shit was longer I was just getting into it.🤨
Wow!!!! This hit deep and anybody struggling out there to do the right thing, please do and know the difference. Bless You All
I mean he should have just cleaned the yard smh
Man I wish you and your crew nothing but continued blessings if these short films can reach just one individual who's about to go off on the deep end and it changes his life the work is priceless much continued success you have a new fan and a die-hard subscriber
Your words mean so much. Read the pinned comment.
Just sleep till like 1 pm and spend 2 hours cleaning the yard. Even if the dad got home at least he would see you doing it and wouldn’t be mad.
💀
Ese vato es un bruto
The acting is actually really good. Especially in the scene where the step-father comes home and sees that he didn’t clean the yard. Very realistic acting
Idk no I actually think the acting is good. It’s relatable
I’m not crying I have dust in my eyes 👀
I love movies/skits like this. It shows the real side of gangs and nasty violence and why you should turn away. This life ain’t no game and one slip up could put you in the grave. Good job on the movie, you got another subscriber!
Thank you.
You can be gangster your whole life, just can't be a gang banger your whole life. Once you have kids an shit you leave the petty shit for the younger vatos.
D S
Facts.
I turned into a G at 12
But I’m a parent now with a real career.
How bout don't leave that for anybody its stupid and pointless
Its crazy how it feels like i watched a 3hr movie in 15 mins, award winning tbh.
I like how I understand it in English and Spanish so I don’t have to read shit
Mario the G I still be reading the subtitles 😂
My 3yr old nephew was victim to gun violence and this story just really touched me💞. Rip to Gerardo 🙏🏽, sorry for your loss❣️
you know dis shit authentic when you see the pro clubs.
Strong message bro 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
Anyone on a short film spree?
Yutchi meeee
God bless you all god gave me a second chance this week and I am feeling blessed always keep your head up and put god first
I learned to take out the trash from this short film or my friend could get shot
I Lost my best friend at the age of 21 years i know this fucking feeling to good .... rip to all the fallen young humans ! Greets from austria
First day in the hood and already dead.....Fucked up
he should of just smoked a blunt and cleaned the yard!!!!!

How?
4:12 like they took away his ps4 privelages
If you ever lost a homie to this just know they're smiling down at you wishing you the best. Rip Specs. Troubles. Bird. Uncle Junior. 2 Scoop. Ears. Termite. And XRay. Take risks and prosper. Summed up a lot
not gonna lie but the kid couldve just cleaned the front yard smh
Forget that! That's not even his real father, his step father instead. I'd say "you ain't my real pops!" Idc if I get an ass beating!
Lazy ass son, he's provided with a place to sleep and food to eat, the least he could is get the house chores done
biggo meat so you think your tough then? You have to pull your weight and do your part and be responsible sooner or later. He’s giving a house to live in and cares for your mother. Being lazy and not helping out the home shows ya just a immature kid who doesn’t appreciate what’s really being provided. So take you lil tough azz somewhere else. Eventually you’ll mature and see there are no free rides. Even in the pen you gotta follow rules and clean your sht up. Might as well learn to be responsible young.
@@akandrea6731 I already know what lies ahead and I'm well keeping my weight up. Don't underestimate how my actions are, I know what's going on in life for most part. Better again to leave the household and go about your life, maybe things will be complicated but after awhile, you'll get over it.
Gøddəss Иøvą19 that’s not right ... when someone takes you in and treats you as a father or at least gives you a roof over your head I suggest listen to the individual... life is cruel out there and hard. Don’t like it ? Suck it up until you know you can make it in your own or you got a plan b .
Salute all the way from Chicago 💯
👑🤟
💯

He shoulda cleaned the yard
I feel bad for the dad that was disappointed with his kids report card
Not many youngsters get offered a pass from a big homie. Take it and run little man! Otherwise it will be a life of regrets and tears. "Hey young world... the world is yours!" Coming from one who knows. Peace!
Its nice to see that guy recover from tucos beating
This should be a movie instead of short film.

In Latin country's you don't really have many options as the youth in the US you have opportunities to make your people proud and become a profesional! !! Hispanic country's you have to hustle to survive!!!!

Dawg ik there was other shit in this video that was important and Ian tryna sound spoiled or nun but dawg shoukd have just cleaned tha yard 😭
It’s the lack of human/family connection that leads to drugs, gangs, prison, and death. If you want to change the way you feel help someone else whose hurting. No he muerto pero debería haberlo hecho muchas veces. Tómese el tiempo para aprender sobre usted mismo antes de terminar contra las paredes que lo hacen pensar en usted mismo. Amor y Respetos from West Pilsen/ Chicago. This really hit home for a gringo from a all Mexicano barrio.
It’s paradoxical, it’s the lack of family connection that gets people thinking, it’s the chance to gain family protection that seals the deal, crazy stuff
homie this reminds me when me and homies got into a shootout and almost got shot but rest in peace to the homie hope god is treating him well
I have a feeling you're lying.
Damn, this one for real made me shed a couple tears.. no lie. Strong message..love all your videos!
Lil homies think is all fun games and just respawn after getting shot like in GTA 😂
All fun and games until you're forty years of age with nothing to show for and no professional skills to be a fucking contributing member of society.
Both of those outcomes hit hard and not good
3:00 hit me hard 😔
U guys need to make more of this but longer
Kids think they can chill at home while their parents at work busting they ass but nah u gotta do something in the house
