As beautiful as the trail can be it does throw you loops & curves! I’m glad that you both powered through this together and it does makes finishing all that more rewarding I am sure 😁
Good to hear that full story. I remember you mentioning the lost tent. I once got dropped off for a hike and realized I'd forgotten my hiking poles. Now I need them...they are not for show. I had an urge to call out for a ride back to get them but decided to improvise and use a bit walking stick. I made it thru the hike with my stick..but had some other things go wrong later. I just about quit for good after that hike but glad I did not. Glad you guys pushed on..stupid stuff happens. We all do it. DDB
Great job telling this trail story….that would be a major test to your mental resilience! I now have a ZPacks tent and yes, very pricey, so that alone would weigh on you. But that freestanding Big Agnes is awesome and I bet it also came in handy with the tenting platforms of NH and ME.
On a positive Imagine someone was out there cold wet and had no shelter or was close to one or their tent had just been damaged and then they found yours old one.double blessing it could of saved a life. That would be a big downer though. I'm glad you decided not to give in to the black dog and you kept on chugging it out because now you've succeeded in this massive trail.
I visited your RUclips Channel and I found your Content is very good. But there are some issues with your Channel due to which your videos are not ranking well. if these issues can be resolved, hopefully, the videos will rank well. And your video viewsand your channel will continue to grow.
Great story. Little snippets of info are handy for planning a trip. Double wall tent for the cold and the single wall for when it warms up. Same applies to the rain jackets from ehat other people have said. Really depends on your comfort tollerence.
@@ontheloose2024 I’m glad you hung in there. We all have disappointments in our journey. It’s important to place them in perspective and move on with gratitude gracefully. Welcome to my year of 2024. You hiked for me this year. 😍🙏🏻😇
The AT was testing y'all to see if you were really going to hike the whole thing 😉Glad it worked out with getting a better tent for your needs but bummer on loosing one.
