He was a genius, loved everything he ever released, I genuinely get really upset when I listen to Vic , realising what a sad way it all ended , and how much more he could have given us !!!
Got to see Vic and Thee Silver Mt Zion band backing him up in Baltimore. What a sweet man. You are missed, very much, Vic. There is a tribute to him on Efrim Menuck's new album.
He was a good man, and great artist. I had the pleasure of getting to know him, smoke a J, have some scotch when he was drinking. His works touch my soul always. I can feel his presence even now.
einfach wunderschöööön,und unvergesslich.....leider weiss ich erst seit etwa 1monat,habe ertst seit2monaten einen computer, war traurig als ich nach ihm googlete.......
I can compare what The Silver Mt Zion and Fugazi did here to what David Gilmour and Soft Machine did for Syd Barrett in the early 1970s. A misunderstood musical genius in his last days on this earth (mentally for one, in body for the other) given one last shining opportunity to make beautiful music that will last forever long after the Niki Minaj and Justin Biebers of this decaying world are dead and forgotten this will remain.
anyone know which album this is from? Vic has quickly become one of my favorite songwriters/lyricists and i'm continually floored by his sentiment and brevity. songs shouldn't be written unless theres some kind of emotion in there, and this is one of the few artists who can still truly evoke emotional response in me with his songs, though i'm sure knowing his story helps in making it all seem so sad and real
Thank you Vic fir giving character and spirit to Athens Ga
