That ATC guy who gave them the delay vectors really cared! What a sweet and helpful guy.

Love your videos and the time you take to explain things. Quality over quantity. Beats all of the other channels, hands down!
Canadian ATC controllers remind me a lot of our Aussie ones. Polite, efficient, and let the pilots get on with what they need to do without constantly harassing them.
Also note the controller noticing something out of the ordinary and checking in of they were ok, before they even called in to say, they had an issue.
.. and Tower actually knew what was going on (like vacating runway intention) as the information had been passed.
Plus, they give the pilots freedom to navigate as they need (altitude a good example) and work other aircraft out of the way, instead of making them weave about to avoid. How it is MEANT to be!
It's very different to somewhere else, where they appear more concerned about departures and landings than facilitating 2 pilot's getting on the ground.

First: that's some cool organization when you move an emergency vehical directly to a fire station
Second: impressive, how polite ATC is here. Living in the German community, this is what I deeply miss here.

Glad that when the pilot wanted to confirm to turn left on rwy 33, the tower said "yeah, left..." instead of "right, left." :)

With the very-well written script and good production, this was and easy subscribe, like, notifications and a comment for the creator-eating algorithm.
Fabulous work and a Very aptly-named channel. I'm sure I'll be seeing much more of your offerings and the comments from your loyal fans is a good indicator... I'm impressed. I'm in!

I was trained not to assign turns in the direction of the bad engine. Any insight from any pro pilots?
Thanks, your aviation incident videos are the best!

The controller did check it was OK at least one of the times.
With the communication as a whole, i expect he would've been quite happy to allow the aircraft to do whatever it needed - giving them free reign on altitude is an example.
Remember - it's up to the pilots to say no if they aren't happy.

    Great visualizations! Thanks for creating.
A question if anyone knows. If the #1 engine thrust reverser was engaged, or possibly engaged, would you not want to avoid turns in that direction. If the aircraft already has disrupted thrust on one side and the pilot turns toward the same direction it seems to me that one may be asking to stall that wing. All this while having just taken off leaves you with minimal altitude to recover from a stall.

i realize that the checklists are necessary to insure that proper action has been taken to mitigate the emergency and that the plane has to be properly set up for landing. The lists also promote emotional stability in a potentially panicky situation. But if I were observing in the cockpit I'd want to get that puppy on the ground as soon as possible!

Hello, I came across your channel from the "PASSENGER LANDS PLANE After Pilot Incapacitation" video. But I have a question a bit unrelated, did you compose the music used for your channel? The song you play at the beginning and end is really quite good!

I’m wondering if it was an erroneous reading? Surely the asymmetric thrust would be a (insert expletive here) if a thrust reverser was actually deployed in flight?

  • @lprophit

just a flight reverser .... could of taken the emergency alittle more serious, dont ya think maverick?

@@AirTrafficVisualised Was wondering about that. And that makes this a good a place as any to offer my first comment as a new subscriber: You don't filter out uninvolved aircraft. I think your approach gives a more realistic picture of what's going on in the ATC environment. In real life it's almost never a single aircraft in the picture, and a single aircraft being worked by ATC. Whatever coding magic you did... good job mate.
