- On my third visit to India, I'm starting my trip in Bangalore (Bengaluru), getting a taste for the south of the country. I share my first day in this huge city, trying Dosa at MTR, venturing to an incredible flower market, all before heading to Cubbon Park and a well-known food street at night.

I'm Jason, a full-time British Travel Vlogger and RUclipsr who's been to 60 countries. I've been travelling around the world full-time since 2017.
I have travel series' from many of the world's best (and least) known destinations. I filmed the first vlogs on my channel in the summer of 2016 after spending a year living in China. A proper solo trip around Eastern Europe followed after graduating from University in the summer of 2017, taking me to Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Kosovo. This marked the start of my efforts to turn vlogging into a full-time job.
After that European trip I explored much of Asia: visiting India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Pakistan, the Philippines, South Korea and Kazakhstan.
I have also travelled to North Africa and the Middle East fairly extensively over the last five years, filming videos in Turkey, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Israel and Palestine.
I've travelled to North America just once as a RUclipsr, visiting Mexico in 2021. Though I have been to both the USA and Canada, this was as a child on family holidays.
In 2022, I took my first trip to Sub Saharan Africa, visiting Kenya and Tanzania, before heading to the Middle East, stopping in Dubai and Lebanon. Europe followed, covering both the Greek and Turkish sides of Cyprus, and afterwards going back to Italy for the second time to cover Milan and Sicily. I then visited the Caribbean for the first time, covering the Dominican Republic, before heading to both Brussels and Amsterdam, then covering Taiwan and the Philippines in Asia. I finished off the year with a trip around Morocco.
I started my travels in 2023 by finally visiting Paris, taking the Eurostar from London. I then headed over to Qatar for a few days, before heading to the south of India.

I love your videos, India is a beautiful place with a rich culture. Thank you for showing those of us that beautiful country is so far away.
I am Indian🇮🇳welcome to beautiful India, India is definitely one of the greatest developed countries in the world.

It's so lovely to see you exploring Bangalore! I've lived here my whole life- so this may be a biased opinion, but the city has so much to offer in terms of history, food, culture and more. If you're still in the city, or for whoever's reading this comment, i recommend visiting Malleshwaram [north bangalore]. The neighbourhood has amazing temples- some over 2000 years old! There are a couple books online about the history of Malleshwaram, and Bangalore in general, so i would highly recommend checking those out.
Safe travels! looking forward to seeing more of your adventures:)
I was in Bangalore in 2004, also in Mysore to see more historical sites. What a wonderful place!
I have been several times to India but never to Bangelore. Looks busy but much relaxter and cleaner then some place up north. Worth a visit imo .
This was a great video Jason you did a great job in letting us know how the real traditional India is.
The flower mkt. Really beautiful. Thank so much and great to see you back in India. Peace to you
this is the main city market which has been in place since 1928 ,built by the erstwhile Maharaja and named after him- en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K._R._Marketone of the busiest places in Bangalore
Thank you for asking about the audio quality. I vote for the external mic. It is very muffled with the GoPro one way mic. Thanks for taking us to India. I work and live around many people from India and love seeing their homeland.
Got it!
We follow you closely, and have for quite a while For my husband who is hard of hearing, when you turn the camera to front view he can't understand you at all.
Don't like this swapping of volumes.
Hope you can sort it out.
The essence of this beautiful flower market, Karnataka felt so authentic. Great video.
Jason! Bengaluru traffic reminds me of years ago when I was in Ho Chi Min City, attempting to cross the street, having a panic attack 😮 Watching you undaunted, I’m starting to think maybe I’m done! Perhaps traveling like you are is over for me forever and is for the young! I get a vicarious thrill out of watching you brave it all and roll with it smiling. Good for you. Be safe. Be well. ❤
Fantastic. Very interesting city. Would like to visit one day. Thanks Jason for taking us on the trip with you virtually
Glad to see you exploring India again. It is also my favorite country, i have visited twice and hopefully I will visit the South. Regards from Spain!
Welcome back Jason watched your Indian vlogs 6 years ago..great to see you back again in India ❤🧡
So happy to see you in India !
Traffic seems very loud and dense! Very interesting regarding name changes and how it’s harder than it sounds. Old habits die hard.
That dosa looks good, the coffee…. WOW.
Love the music as you rode to the market. That market is amazing! I have never seen the like or flowers sold without stems! So many people.
The noise level is so much easier on the ears. I am enjoying the decreased background noise. I can hear you fine. Lovely park, incredibly busy city! Indian street food looks wonderful! Thank you!
I just visited in Bengaluru few weeks ago and also continued to Mysuru from there (and then to Ooty to take the Nilgiri Mountain Railway). This video made me miss Bengaluru so much! Loved the city and the vibes there!
I liked the vibe - the south has a different feeling
One thing i would like to say is that you should ask the autorickshaw drivers to flag down the fare meters and pay as per the meter, wherever possible to do so, instead of paying whatever fare is mentioned by the driver.

*Dear Hindus,*
*You should worship only One God (Allah) and you must Stop doing Idol worshipping !*
@@HasanUnknown It's funny to me that you quoted Hindu texts but then told Hindus to ignore their religious beliefs. Islam began when the Prophet Mohammed started teaching it. Before that it was the Abrahamic religion called Judaism. Christianity predated Mohammed and Jesus bridged the gap between Judaism and Islam. Yes I tend to agree that there is only one God but he is known by many names, Shiva, Yahwey, Jehovah, Allah, .....etc. It's all the same thing. If the people of God were harmonious as opposed to being divisive and exclusionary we'd be living in heaven on earth.
@@HasanUnknown why cant people choose which religion they believe?
Great video, almost like a documentary on Bengaluru!

Hi Jason. I really enjoyed your vlog. I absolutely love watching vlogs on India. I would really love to go there, definitely on my bucket list lol.
The foods you were eating looked amazing, I could almost taste them.
In re to the microphone I'd go with a new one, the audio was a bit low in parts, however I could still make out what you were saying and I'm partially dead lol.
I've just discovered your Chanel bud so you have a new sub. I've also see loads of other vlogs which I will surely enjoy watching. Keep up the great vlogs bro and hope you're feeling 100% now.
Very nice video. Thank you and welcome back! Please take care so you don’t get sick again. Mic. seems good it’s audible just muffled in front.😊🎤🌝🌺
I think India-Bangalore is a nice place with rich culture and nice to see all the places like Restaurants, Gardens, Streets, Markets, Parks etc.
Hii... I think you are doing great job to explore the india's best city You know what India is a nice place with culture , food, talking with ppl and everything is different ❤❤❤and vlogs are always great
I use a GoPro with a media mod, and I had bad audio when the camera was turned around. Hence, I don't talk when the camera is turned around. India vlogs brilliant. Just love India, could watch them all day.
Superb mind-blowing
Awesome video.
It's wonderful for being in Bangalore, really we much excited.
You came directly to bengaluru. I am from bengaluru. Following you 👍 all the best for your travels bro. But summer has started and will continue for next 3 months. so take care. Cheers 🍻
I have spent mostly one month in Bengaluru last May, I found it has a great atmosphere and a fantastic weather compared to other very hot cities in summer
Looks like a great time. I looked around on Google earth, the place is massive.
Did you travel a lot within the city during your stay?

Bangalore is my El Dorado. I wrote several records set there haha 🙈 but I've never been... This is great to see. 💖
Thank you for sharing, I loved the flower market, so vivid! The sound of your voice is lower when you're not facing the camera. Enjoy!
What a great vlog I really enjoyed it ❣️I’m trying to find your older india vlogs but not successful. Looking forward to more ❤ 🇮🇳
There’s a playlist on my channel called ‘India’ - you’ll find them there :)
Super bro well done and good job
Hey Jason, I was in Bangalore for 33 years before I moved to Toronto last year, so btw the sickness can be just a cold usually ends up having a lot of flem discharge, drinking a lot of water usually gets it going, in Bengaluru has a lot of flowering trees on the roadsides, a lot a lot of them like the entire Bangalore roadsides are covered by Gulmohar, or blossoms trees and they say there is pollen content in the air a few of them are allergic to it, it time you get used to it. Humans! Wonderful city miss it though
Wow happy journey bro
Seeing u after a long time, welcome back to India.
Nice place & weather so good❤❤
Another fab video… Enjoying this area of India!
On the mic, its very muffled so in my opinion best to attach all round mic…. Cheers Jason

I would love to visit this part of India, it would be a dream!
Very Good vlog.💯 Greetings from the Caribbean!
Nice video and info on Bangaluru...
Great videos from India Jason. I have been planning my 6 week trip through the South of India and your videos have been really helpful. Thanks for taking the time to produce such great travel videos. I wanted to ask you what Selfie stick you use with your GoPro. Looks like you have one that you can rotate around when you are doing your walk and talk bits. I like that you can switch back and forth from a shot on you to a shot forward facing. I can't seem to find something that does that. If you (or anyone else) may know and can give me some direction that would be great. Safe travels Jason!
Good stuff! You might bump into Gabriel Morris as he's in the south of India at present.
I am loving your youtube clips.

❤ from Bangalore!
Great you at Bangalore India. Safe City
I appreciate you showing my home town so interestingly ❤😊
welcome back
Its' interesting to see a Brit start his South Indian journey from Karnataka. Usually for Brits South India = Tamilnadu. Although I agree Karnataka has much in common with Tamilnadu and Andhra, its history & culture is not exactly the same. All the TV documentaries, articles and history books by British authors that I've seen or read when they cover South India are Tamilnadu focussed. This has impacted even Indian history books & textbooks. Within India, there is even a term 'Madarasi' that is collectively used for South Indians (everyone is from Madras) but thankfully it is now on the decline. The British when they colonialized India made Madras the seat of administration for directly ruling South India, so Madras Presidency enjoyed a dominant political relationship relative to Mysore (Karnataka) which they ruled indirectly. The older generation authors still seem to see South India by this lens. Ok... maybe you are different being from younger generation. Thanks for visiting Karnataka and good going 👍!
You are so brave to eat street food or anything for that matter in India
I am Indian welcome to beautiful India India is definitely one of the greatest develop countries in the world.
happy to see your vlog hope you love Namma Bengaluru 🥰😍🤩
Hi Jason , thanks for your videos.
Very interesting. Do you get used to the noise of traffic and voices ?
Flowers were lovely.
Thank God for the peace of the park !
Food at the end looked good.
Hope you keep well now.
I love Bangalore
Very nice vlog
Welcome to Bangalore.... One of my favorite city😊
Good job
Nice...
Hello brother welcome to india
the colours of the fresh produce are amazing....🤩13:22
I have lived in Bangalore for 12 years, never occurred to me that KR Market was a tourist destination. I felt Johnson Market and Russel Market more convenient to shop in as KR Market was far off and more crowded.
Where did you move from?
@@toddburgess5056 I moved from Chennai but before that I lived in North India.
Exactly. I have lived in Bangalore for 12 years and never been to this wholesale flower market. RUclipsrs don't research well and goto random places.
@@alokm1233318 There is a subset of foreigners who love to see following places in India and Nepal
1) Cheap Hotels
2) Street Food
3) Street Markets
4) Local Transport
This is considered as the best way to experience the real India and real Nepal. The first set of people who travelled India and Nepal like that was hippies in 1970s. Even though now tourism to India has changed and there are a lot of business travellers and luxury travellers in India. Even tourism in Nepal has changed and there are a lot of middle class Indians who like Pokhara but to experience the real India and real Nepal one must go like 1970s hippie.

This looks exciting, Jason. Am planning a holiday to India myself so looking for some tips on how to stay safe, especially food wise. Don't want any tummy trouble! Can you make some accommodation recommendations too please.
Male or female? For food any good restaurants are best. No worries with it. But see to it that India is not specifically dependent on tourism. Only goa, kerala and rajasthan are hard core tourist places. So when it comes to street food just see to it that if the place is relatively hygienic and there are some descent college going boys and girls eating out there then go for it else skip it. Lot of street foods are specifically for people working outside day in out and indian people have hard stomachs that have got used to such foods and can easily digest it. Its not for foreigners. Just take care of this. That's it. You can any time take tips from college kids, no one else will guide you better than them when it comes to street food.
Hello, Indian here!! Please, do not go to Delhi. Go to places like Kerala, Goa, Puducherry, Lakshadweep, etc. Avoid street food and eat from small hotels/restaurants.
Visit Kerala❤️
Nice one.
Very nice and very interesting
Good Video! Way , way too much humanity smashed together for me ! If I was forced to live in a city like that ! I would probably go insane!!! 😬
