    thanks..
i would definitely buy a 12-string guitar and turn it into an 8-string whenever I want, a 6-string whenever I want, I think that makes the most sense..

A friend of mine had a Yair 9-string with the top 3 strings doubled.
Love the 8’string tone and usability.

I was an early adopter of the 12CEBK and when I plugged her in and heard how shimmery she sounded with the L.R. Baggs pickup, I was blown away. I immediately bought the only one the store had. The only cons are the regular ones that EVERY 12 string ever made has. Thank you Alvarez!

A small bodied 12 string, 12th fret joint Alvarez. Just a suggestion. Think they'd sell like crazy

Taylor made an 8 string that was set up like the Alvarez. I believe it came out of Taylor's custom shop. So I assume it was crazy expensive. So 3 months ago when I found out Alvarez made one I had to have one. I'm a little bummed that the Alvarez 8 only came in the one finish . I bought it anyways.. and I LOVE IT!!!.

Alvarez please can you make a left hand small bodied parlour/single O like the AP70 again, or the delta blues you currently have in right-hand only. Martin and Taylor offer all their ranges in left hand. Don't be like Gibson and Epiphone with just a few token offerings.

This is one of the problems Alvarez has always had. They put people that don't own 12 string guitars in charge of 12 string content! I bought my first Alvarez in 1965, never owned another. Bought a 12 string in 1966 and have owned one most of the time since then. Now have a 9 string as well as a twelve to compliment the 6 strings.

I love Alvarez. I have a K Yairi OM cedar/Rosewood from 1986, a new 8 string Baritone and a Delta 00 all are fantastic. I am selling my Guild F512 12 string. It is beautiful but difficult to play and surprisingly not that loud.
I have been looking everywhere for an eighth string OM model. I can’t believe that Alvarez makes this. It sounds great and the neck is much More narrow than the 12 string. I love Alvarez. I wish I could buy it in red though or another finish. But I am happy with the shadow burst. Alvarez is the best deal there is an affordable Guitars. They sound many times better than Guitars five times the price.
