Fern is my favorite. Beautiful work.
Such a fun video. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing all your beautiful Mirabilia's and Nora Corbet's; they are fantasic!! Looking forward to seeing them fully completed. Happy stitching.............
Thank you my friend. I am pleased that so many people have enjoyed this video. I love the Miras & look forward to stitching more. Have you stitched any yourself?
I have many of the patterns, but only have Lady of the Mist in progress. Hope to stitch on it soon; just need to find it among all the others! LOL
Ohhh....Lady of The Mist is sooo pretty! Such a good choice! She's definitely on my to-do list. Would love to know when you start her...she'll be spectacular. :)
They are all beautiful.
I think you Mira's are absolutely beautiful !!!! Beading is nice, yes, but don't short change yourself. It was different seeing some of them without wings.....I really liked it. I have over 30 Mira's/Nora's...haven't stitched one yet....the skin has frighten me so bad I just sit and dream when I look at the patterns....
Hi Marla....thank you so much!! You are absolutely right. Trust me....I know the hours that went into each & every one. ;) It was all worth it though. They are my favorites by far.
I really hope you will be inspired to stitch some Miras....they are so worth it!! The skin doesn't have to be intimidating at all. Stitching it 2 over 2 is easier than 1 over 1, & I really think you will find it much more pleasant than you have feared.
One of my first big stitches was a Mira, & once I got going I wondered what I was so nervous about. :)
If you do start one, I hope you will come back & tell me which one you settled on! Thanks for visiting!
Wow, it's beautiful!
Your Miras are beautiful; I have never done one. I like Lavender & Lace, but I am very tempted by Veronica.
Ohhh....Veronica is lovely! My Mom is currently kitting her up, in fact. It's a great one. Can't go wrong with L&L either. Thanks for stopping by! :)
Wow! Loved seeing all your Mirabilia/Nora Corbetts. They’re all lovely. I only have two Miras in the works, Lailani and Mermaid Undine, and one waiting to be started which is Renaissance Mermaid. I just started Undine yesterday for the Mervember SAL. So excited to finally be working on a Mermaid. And I can’t wait to see your projects all beaded up. They’re gonna be amazing!
Thanks Meredith, I really want to get back to stitching on Miras again. Flosstube has produced a challenge in the way I have been so exposed to many new patterns/designers to fill up my limited stitching time. Cant forget 'em. :)
Mermaids are great..& they are quicker finishes. Renaissance is stunning!! and sooo on my to-do
list for the future. (Another is Siren & the Shipwreck.) Anyway...excited for you and your new mermaids. You will love them when they are finished! Thanks again! :)
All of the Ladies are so pretty. I would never have known you made any alterations to the patterns if you hadn't said. They are all beautiful even without the beads. I hope you get the frame soon so you can head them up. And show is again how wonderful they all look.
Oh my goodness! My mouth was open all during this video. You have amazing finishes. They are perfect now but when you bead them they will be so beautiful.
Aww..thank you Cindy. :) Beading will be time-consuming, but so exciting!! Thanks for stopping by!
Hi there! This is my first time seeing one of your videos and I tell you- the beauty of your Mirabilias is so stunning - it makes my spirit fly to heaven! Gorgeous! Gorgeous! Gorgeous! Thank you for sharing!
What an amazing line up of Mirabilias and Nora Corbett designs - they are all beautiful!!!🌷I have only a tiny start on Le Nouveau, but seeing yours stitched makes me want to begin another one. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much!! Le Nouvea Sampler is one that I have yet to stitch but have always admired. I'm sure yours will be lovely! I hope you are inspired to stitch more of them....there really is such an elegance to them & it's hard to compare other stitching with mirabilia. Like potato chips.... you can't have just one. ;) Thanks for stopping by!
Amazingly beautiful! I loved seeing all of them! Congratulations on your ability to do so many! Great job!!!
Thank you!! :)
Thank you for this lovely parade. I'm stitching my very first mirabilia (winter queen) and I love it!
Gorgeous! Gorgeous! Gorgeous!💗💗 Your work is definitely inspirational! I have my very first Mirabilia, Sleeping Beauty, within my WIPs, and I have Holly kitted for a start. I absolutely love Nora's work, and I find myself collecting with hopes of stitching every single one. 😉
Hi, & thanks for taking the time to write! I really appreciate it. Miras are my favorite patterns, & I too inspire to stitch....if not every last one of them.... at least MOST of them! I'll keep you posted! ;)
Congrats on starting your first Mira!!! That is awesome!! Sleeping Beauty is fabulous!!
Gorgeous ladies! You have done an amazing job with them.
Beautiful work! I have not done one yet but am looking at Sabrina. I saw her at a LNS and it’s always stuck with me.
All of your pieces are so beautiful.
I used to use Mill Hill Beads on my Mirabilias, now I use Delicas beads, they aren't so big, they fit together really good
They are all so beautiful! I was inspired by your earlier videos showing your Mirabilia that I have now started three. Petal fairy on my own dyed fabric. Bliss fairy on my own dyed fabric and gypsy queen on milk chocolate aida. You have so many wonderful finishes and I am inspired by them all! Thanks for sharing!
Oh my goodness!! I love that! Thank you so much for letting me know you were inspired...that truly means so much to me! Have you considered doing your own FlossTube channel so you can show off your lovelies? I am so impressed when people dye their own fabrics. That is something I have not been brave enough to try so far but would love to dabble in. :) I was going to say the Petal & Bliss Fairies are so pretty & I am sure you will just love them!!
Wow!! Gorgeous! I have yet to stirch a Miribilia, and this video is really making me eager to get started. Can't wait to see these framed!
Aww..thanks! Go for it!! You'll love 'em! :)
Amazing...
Really enjoyed looking at your beautiful Miribilias. I am about to stitch my first being "Mermaids of The Deep blue" on PTP hand dyed crystal Lugana "Splash", using petite treasure braids instead of krenik. Very excited and have many more to do in my stash. Thank you for the inspiration 😊
Mermaids on Splash will be awesome!! A great call! I've drooled over a piece of that fabric for forever & always love seeing what other people stitch on it. Tell me how the conversion to PTB goes.... that is something I would love to try someday! Thanks for the note. :)
Thank you for the Mira parade they are gorgeous. I'm still stitching my first one but there are so many I'm hoping to stitch. Happy stitching x
Hi! Thanks for stopping by & for commenting! Which Mira are you working on? :)
HandDyedDiva I'm half way stitching At the met , and just about to start Fairy moon 😆
Beautiful Mirabilias! Can't belive how many you have stitched! I have Mermaids of The deep blue and I want an handdyed fabric for it, just need to find it ;)
Hello Becca.... Thank you so much! Some people may think I'm crazy to have so many stitched, but there are more where that came from!! lol I may make a video showing which patterns I have at some point, though most of them are a little older patterns. I really want some of the newer ones!!! They are so hard to resist.
Mermaids of the Deep is a very special pattern. If you've seen the newest version of The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe movie, when the camera is flying toward the castle in the end for the coronation, it skims across the water & 2 mermaids twirl up in the air. THAT is exactly what those mermaids remind me of. :) I hope you find the perfect fabric soon.... there are so many amazing options!!
Beautiful every single one. I have ‘“Petal Fairy” I have to wait a bit, need to work a few smaller projects to get my feet wet
Wow. Such beauty in your video. I've just finished my first Mira, even though I have several of Nora's patterns in my collection. They're all so stunning. You're a very talented stitcher.
Hello Ladybird...... thank you so much! That is very kind of you. Congrats on finishing your first Mira! They're hard to resist, & I'm sure you'll have another one on your stitching frame before you know it. :)
By the way....which one did you just finish?
I finished Lady of The Mist and I started Emerald Mermaid yesterday. Your video enabled me to buy Fern. I never really liked it until I saw yours stitched up, and I've just placed an order for it. It's stunning.
I was so so excited when I saw your video pop up when I was at the shops haha! Thank you for doing your Mira Nora Corbett parade, absolutely stunning! So many pieces. I now know why you thought about doing a Mira parade on their own!! I love all the beautiful fabrics you have chosen too. It was a pleasure to watch, thanks again!
I am currently stitching my third Mira, I have stitched feather fairy and Halloween fairy. I like stitching them on hand dyed fabric. A background can really make them pop like yours. Even without the beading they are still so beautiful. Mermaids of the deep blue is still one of my favourites, yours is gorgeous xx
Belinda..... I'm so glad!! Don't tell me you stopped while shopping to watch my video!?!?! lol Too funny! One of these days I hope to have another 22 Miras to parade....but that will understandably take some time. lol Hopefully FlossTube will stick around for a long while yet. ;) I hope it inspired you!
I have always liked Feather Fairy & have considered converting some of her colors. I've always been drawn to her ''dancer' quality. Can you remind me which one is your 3rd?
I think it is fantastic that you have quick access to the Colour Cascades Fabrics... & one other based in Australia... am I correct on that? I have seen some amazing CC fabrics but haven't had the opportunity to own a piece from them yet. I agree that the background does make such a difference with pictures!
Thanks so much for responding to the questions I posed :)
HandDyedDiva Haha that would have been good but I had two of my little girls with me out shopping and sitting down and watching wouldn't have been very relaxing haha...I waited till I got home and had a chance to sit down.
My third Mira is Snow Queen who I'm currently working on. I hope to share her again in a video soon. Colour Cascade fabrics is in Australia, you are right. Tammy is based in Perth and she is amazing to work with, her fabrics are beautiful. If you did purchase from her you would be happy! I hope floss tube sticks around too. It's nice to be able to share our love of cross stitch together. Happy Stitching xx
Belinda..... I didn't see this last message until now....it ended up in the spam folder & I had to approve it.
Okay.... I gotcha. Kiddos wouldn't have been too happy to wait for mommy watching FlossTube. ;)
Snow Queen is very regal.... my Mom has been talking about kitting her up actually. It kind of reminds us of Narnia. I would really like to see it being worked up & get a visual other than the pattern cover - they never do them justice!
Oh, how I would love to take a tour through a shop with hand-dyed fabrics! The closest one I know of is PTP, but that's an airplane trip away. Some day, for a video, you should take us inside
the CC shop & let us drool over the lovely fabrics! That would make you very popular on FlossTube.....trust me. ;)
HandDyedDiva Hi again 😀 If only I could take you through colour cascade fabrics! It's in Perth (a five hour plane flight from me haha) and Tammy runs a home business. Wouldn't it be beautiful to take a walk through there and look at all the pretty fabrics??
Your mum should kit up Snow Queen, I just love stitching on her. She's lots of fun.
Happy stitching xx
Your Mira parade was astounding! Ive completed two Mirabila’s, The Bliss Faery and Royal Holiday, but I’ve done several Butternut Road/Lavender & Lace as well. Currently I have three active WIPS, Ashley’s Roses, Nantucket Rose and Firefly Faeries (Lavender & Lace). I have many more patterns in my stash to stitch that are Miras. I do love the style, but I do like a variety of artists so I stitch others aa well. You will have a wonderful gallery some day. Dena
Hello Dena,
Thanks so much for visiting & dropping me a note. :) The two Miras you have stitched are both lovely! You saw that I've stitched Bliss, but Royal Holiday has really grown on me the last few years. It's all a
matter of finding the perfect fabric.....and spare time.
I too like Lavender & Lace patterns... I really enjoy the angels in particular. My Mom has stitched a couple, & I have The Bride, Angel of Hope & a couple more patterns in my collection. I love that there are so many styles available to stitch, & am finding my list of liked designers growing every time I watch a new FlossTube video! It's not safe, I tell you. ;)
They are all beautiful! ❤ I've done 3 mirabilias before......I can't wait till you frame them and put them somewhere special!😊
Thank you Brenda..... neither can I ! :) Which Mira's have you stitched?
This is an amazing collection totally unique, can you share your experience on 1 over one skin . Thank you!
One of these days I may make a tutorial video on the process of 1 over 1 skin. It's a little hard
to explain it, & I think a visual would be good. Thanks for commenting! :)
Beautiful, Beautiful!!
Thank you
Your Mira's are all beautiful. Just imagine the wonders they will be with their beads! I have not stitched any Mira's. I have a few in my stash. I was hoping you had stitched Sleeping Princess. I think that will be my first one only I just cannot settle on a fabric. I need some help with that. I also want to do Mother's Arms on a hand dyed so as to not stitch the background. I wish I could change her face a bit though.
Thanks for the comment. I can't wait to get them beaded...but patience is my game right now :)
You really must stitch one...there is no going back! Most of my finished are older patterns, as I have
had them all kitted. Trust me, there are many newer patterns that I have yet to tackle. ;)
I have never really taken time to overlay Sleeping Princess, but I may be able to take a look at that for you. I'm no pro, but I can perhaps give it a whirl :) Perhaps you could send me a private message so I
can keep it at the top of my visual. .....mention Sleeping Princess & Mother's Arms for reference.
Hello again..... I hope you get this message, as I can't figure out how to send you a private message.
I did a little looking & found a piece of fabric that I particularly liked for Sleeping Princess:
Polstitches - Nature's Grace
I am rusty with fabric shopping since I've been using my stash for a couple years now, but Polstitches
is just about my favorite fabric company. Hope this helps!
Oh my gosh!!! How on earth do you have the time to stitch all those? Your choices of fabric on each and every one is gorgeous! I just ordered “Red” off eBay and am wondering if I can even stitch it! It’s bigger than I thought. I’ve never stitched a Mirabilia. I just discovered Flosstube and am wondering how people have so much time to stitch these. My goal in life would be to just finish ONE!
I’m excited I discovered you...your work is beautiful!
Well thank you! That is very sweet! Alot of my stitching of Miras was during a time I
was basically bed-ridden....so I had a lot of time on my hands & decided to be productive. It was also really exciting to see the finishes on my hand dyed fabrics. That spurred me on to burn rubber, so to speak. I am getting in the mood to work on more Mirabilias in particular, as they are my first love with stitching, so hopefully I won't get
too busy that I can't give the time I wish to that!
Trust me.... I as intimidated to start them also, but they are so lovely to work & stitch up so beautifully, you will find yourself with a string of them before you know it!! :)
Thank you so much for your kind words! :)
Yaaaaaaaaas! Love, love, love this!
Score!! lol
Thanks Kay.... :)
If you are looking for a floor stand I think a frame comes with it. Look at everythingcrosstitch.com you can also look on Amazon. You can get all sizes of frames for on there.
I'll keep that in mind.... thanks for the tip. :)
Your video is so interesting and inspiring 💕💞💓🌸
Thank you Luda. :)
Hi ! i loved this video ! right now im working on fairy idyll, its my first mirabilia other than the christmas tree i had done which was a kit by mirabilia. i'm trying to finish it this year but i still have a lot to stitch but i theres so many others i want to stitch ! i have stone roses, rose of sharon, english roses, the dreamer and titania. i think after fairy idyll im thinking of starting stone roses on petals lugana by picture this plus.
i cant wait to see all of your amazing ladies framed !! just imagine having them all on your wall !! :)
Hi! Thank you so much! Fairy Idyll is another pattern I have in my stash too.....I think she is so intricate & lovely! I hope you will show her in a video someday soon....I'd love to see your beautiful stitching on her! I really love all the patterns you have mentioned.....Stone Roses has been in my kitted up pile for a while but I determined I wouldn't start a new one until I had at least one new Mira finish. It's hard to wait. ;) Titania is gorgeous!!
I think I'll need to rent an exhibit to display them all..... or build on an extra wing to the house. ;) Thanks for visiting!
Loved all your beautiful ladies. Haven't started one yet but I just starting stitching again.. could you tell me how you go about converting 2 over 2 to 1 over 1. Thank you and keep stitching.
Hi Barbara,
The simple answer is that you stitch 4 tiny stitches for each regular stitch. There are a couple different ways to do that, either a straight replacement, or a blending
technique. I do it both ways. There may be a video tutorial on Flosstube for stitching
1 over 1, which is what I would recommend looking into. Maybe I'll make my own tutorial
one of these days. .....it's something I'll consider. Thanks for the question!
Hello are all your mirabilla stitched on 32 count? They look so massive . Hehe thanks for your answers! Lovely work bu the way ❤️
Thank you...😊 I use 28 & 32 count fabrics predominantly for them. Some people may use 36 or 40, or even higher... (eek!)... But I'm not able to handle them quite that small. I had stitched one in 25 count, but that is unusual. They are large, or can be, but they are masterpieces and well worth it! 😍
Thanks for the comment!
So excited to have found this video. Really enjoyed watching you Mirabilia finishes. They are truly beautiful pieces. I️ was amazed by all the gorgeous modifications made to the charts. You’re so creative!! I️ had a question... on Poppy, I’d love to convert her dress from red to purple colors. What would you suggestion for the purple colors to use? Thanks a bunch. Gonna go watch the rest of your videos.
Hello Sylvia....thanks so much for visiting my channel & for taking the time to write me. I appreciate the compliments! I have a couple ideas on what colors could be used for Poppy, depending on what kind of
tone you want. I can look into this for you, but please send me a private message so I can keep your message easier to find. Can't guarantee anything, but if you mention Poppy & I will see what I can come up with. :)
HandDyedDiva 👋🏼 hello!! Not sure if this will be a private message or not. I love the rich purple tones. Appreciate any suggestions you can share. Thank you thank you
Hello Sylvia...
I hope you get this message....I couldn't figure out how to send you a private message.
It took me some time to get around to this, but this is what I came up with for the purple conversion:
815 = 154
915 = 3834
816 = 3835
817 = 3836
3801 = 554 or 3609 ( depending on how much pop you want)
I hope this helps!! Christy
Your work is stunning! I so want to do a Mirabilia but have no idea what count and type of fabric for portrait quality (newbie cross-stitcher). Are these still available in full kits?
Hi! Haven't been checking on these comments for a bit.....my bad!
I don't buy the kits myself, so don't know how to answer this. I get the items
one by one & put them together. It was intimidating at first, but it gets much
easier as you go. Visit 123stitch.com if you have not before - you can usually
get everything in one place. If you don't mind the more simple backgrouds,
they have a fair selection of fabric as well. There are lots of places that sell
over-dyed fabric too, if you desire a more colorful look. Hope this helps! :)
HandDyedDiva Thank you! 😊
Oh my your Mira's are beautiful. You are so talented with your modifications, I'm not sure I could do that. I love the mermaids and am tempted to try one now. Do the beads come with the charts or do you have to purchase them separately? If so, do you have any particular beads you buy? Thanks so much for sharing. --Anne
Hello Anne,
Thank you so much for taking the time to reply! I really appreciate your kind words. The modifications have gotten easier over time.....I was sooo nervous at first. I felt like I was really disrespecting the artist, but now it's second nature & I love having something unique. If you look online there are people who share their color conversions on other sites. Perhaps Pinterest? I've only ever used my own changes, but have been inspired by seeing other variations on the patterns.
I know there are sites & places online that sell kitted up Mira patterns, but I prefer to kit them up myself. You can order pretty much everything at 123stitch...and you can buy it in bits & installments if you can't do it all at once, which is great. I've seen kits on Ebay from time to time if that is something of interest for you. Thanks again for the note. :)
Loved seeing your Mirabilia, gosh, loved them! I am almost ready with Emerald Mermaid. Beading on her at the moment. Would love to get queen mermaid, but can't get hold of it, do you maybe know where to get it from?
Thought I replied to this already. Sorry! I'm not really sure where to tell you to get Queen Mermaid - I'm not even sure if she's still readily available to buy, or retired at this point. I'm assuming she is as it's been a while since I stitched her. My best recommendation for hard to find pattens is Ebay. Wish I could help more with that. Emerald Mermaid is very pretty & blingy!
Just got Queen mermaid in from Ebay, thanks for the tip! So happy!
All the Mira's are beautiful. I can't believe you have 22 finished! I have 2 that I haven't even started yet. How long ago did you start to stitch so many?
Sharon
Hi Sharon... thanks for commenting! It's taken me a little while to build up the collection, but I've stitched other things as well. I probably started Mermaids of The Deep about 12 years ago....that
was my first one. I don't stitch them super fast, but I was on quite a roll for several years finishing
2 or 3 a year. They are addicting...once you start, you'll keep migrating to more & more! :)
Beautiful ladies. I have stitched Sleeping Beauty, Sabrina, and the fairy with the wand looking up at the moon (don't remember her name), and I am working on Cinderella. Sadly, when I started stitching so many years ago, I didn't know about making a working copy. So my charts are either gone or terribly marked up. I haven't done skin one over one (not sure I ever will) and have trouble really knowing how to correctly do the stitches that run two squares with quarter and three-quarter stitches. Like do I run the top stitch in the direction of the backstitching or just keep all the top leg of my stitches going the same way? I have been happy with my completed projects, but Cinderella is giving me some challenges on her face and hands, so I have set her aside hoping to see somebody do a flosstube that helps me. Most people are doing the one over one skin, so that won't work for me in this situation. I also never knew about changing out fabric, and I have always just done what was recommended. It's been fun learning new things from these videos! Thank you for the beautiful wip parade. I would love to do Garden Party at some point or A Midsummers Night Dream fairy, but they are so large that I have very little (actually none at all) space in my craft room to hang anything else after Cinderella. My husband is amazing, but I don't think he would truly appreciate me putting some of these large pieces in our living room 😊. Look forward to your next video. Blessings
Kim..... those are some lovelies you have stitched!! Sabrina may be one of my next starts..so pretty!!! I believe you are referring to Cottage Garden Fairy? Yes, my Mom has that pattern. I think all of the patterns are just lovely!!
I only recently started using the working copies...now I ALWAYS do. That way I can pass the pattern on if I want to. After Persephone... Lesson learned! Skin one over one is awesome, but it does have a learning curve. Once you get it down though, you don't want to go back to the regular way. I would suggest at least trying it. When I stitch on quarter & half stitches, I always stitch everything going the
same direction. The only time I have taken some liberties was with something like the hair on Azalea. Those stitched were added in the way they looked best & the way it looked smoothest. No regrets on that at all.
I too have had problems with Cinderella, but am determined to try again. She's too pretty to quite entirely. I'm going to try to re-chart her again.....Heaven help me! lol I hope you are able to find some help with the skin areas. On a side note....Isn't her dress stunning!!!!???
I hope you are able to find some extra wall space.....& that your husband will bend a bit & let you display your ladies. They are so pretty & maybe after her sees more stitched he will appreciate them more!? ;)
Thank you for the compliments & I really appreciate that you took the time to write me. :)
How long does it take you to stitch a Mirabilia?
Good question! It can take me 2-3 months if it is a focus piece, but now that I am working
between multiple pictures the finishes are coming slower. It also slows me a bit if I am doing alterations. They are worth all the time, for sure!! :)
Hi, can you please tell me the name and supplier of the work you made on the blue fabric your friend painted for you. Its the one with the red robe
She stopped dyeing fabric about 5 years ago and sold off all of her inventory. She never had a store or company that I am aware of. Sorry I can't help you with that. :(
@@handdyeddiva5288 Hi! tnx for your response. But i meant the embroiderydesign :)
you say that she's called Red? And what do you mean by stitching the skin one over one? Yep i'm a beginner...
Oops. Sorry about that.
Yes, her name is Red, and the designer is Mirabilia.
One over one stitching is stitching on every strand of evenweave or linen fabric. The look is very fine and detailed.
I'm sure there are tutorials here on RUclips. It's easier to see it than hear about it. :)
@@handdyeddiva5288 aha, now i get it: Mirabilia is a designer. I thought that was you :). I found the pattern, thanks!
Gorgeous ladies! You have done an amazing job with them.
Thank you!
