Tre fact that PewDiePie sat on top for almost 10 years is crazy. In RUclips time, that really is a lifetime.
Fr and he was so far ahead of the race aswell. I remember being super shocked at how fast tseries caught up and even then pewdiepie was still there just subscribed individual until late 2022. His dominance will never be seen again.
@jakebutnotfromstatefarm6044 but mrbeast has a big team so pewdiepie is still number one individual.
He was on top subed for 5 years, and not much on the list of top viewed
@@jakebutnotfromstatefarm6044 T-Series is extremely sus tho have you seen their views? With that amount of subscribers, they make less views on a video than some channels with 10k subs, it's ridiculous really.

Gotta give a ton of credit to Smosh and nigahiga. They’re practically the pioneers of youtube, yet they remained on this list for over a decade. Also pretty impressive that they both were the most subscribed channel twice, both of which were in different eras of youtube. The site changed a lot from the late 2000s to the early/mid 2010s.
they really changed youtube imo
Rwj as well
@@jordancada not nearly as impressive as the two channels I mentioned. He was only the most subscribed channel for around a year and he lost a good amount of subs for years after he stopped doing =3 in 2014. It took until around a couple of years ago for his channel to start gaining subs again due to him uploading shorts on his channel. Even nigahiga’s channel hasn’t lost that many subs despite not uploading in over 3 years. Credit to Ray for having the success he had, but he didn’t have nearly the impact or longevity that Smosh, nigahiga, and Pewdiepie had.

Its interesting how much the T-Series competition impacted Pewdiepies growth but not T-Series. They've had the same trajectory, which Pewdie lined up with for a few months, and then returned to his old rate of growth
Pewdipie used T series to get a push for his channel that was getting stagnant.
T series is a music channel and movie production company. It's growth was natural and coincides with internet connection growth in India. But the racist hate that was hurled at Indians in name of this stupid race is something I will never forget.

@@jackweber3660
Bro, although T-Series is not to my liking either, we cannot say that I use bots, the reason for its rapid growth was the arrival and massification of the Internet in India, before 2015 the percentage of the Indian population with Internet access was very low, it was not until 2016 that the JIO company began to provide Internet access to Indians (a moment that coincides with the start of the unstoppable rise of T-Series and other Indian channels such as SET India) you can see this for yourself by watching that currently the fastest growing channels in the world are the Indian channels.
Something similar occurs in Hispanic America, despite having almost 500 million inhabitants, less than half of the population has Internet access, that is, the percentage is also very low.
If the internet were so accessible to everyone here, several Spanish-speaking channels would join the Indian ones in being the fastest growing channels.
