Hi lovely Rebecca !! Great video I do like the eye brightener I have the chantecaille one . Last about 6 hours but I love VB so it’s nice to know their is another good pencil to pick up 🤗💕
I’ve often used the creamy waterline technique. I agree sometimes the pencils get a a bit much and then it’s all I see. It did however make your eyes look more open
Great video. I recently saw an Instagram MUA recommending using nude pencils only on the outer half of the waterline, which she said brightens but looks far more natural. I’m definitely going to try it with this new VB pencil because, I totally agree with you that this technique can look too obvious sometimes.
I like that idea so much, Helen. I love black in the waterline and, within the past few weeks, I have begun only using the black on the outer portion of the waterline too and I like it so much better. Never thought of doing that with the lightening pencil too. Great idea. Going to try that today. Thank you!
Hi was the VB better then ? Thanks also I wear black waterline every day but was thinking to use the brightening one on the water line then black under neath what you think not as everyday but when I go out out
I really like the one by Chantecaille, but I rarely remember to use it. It really does make a nice, subtle difference. Looks like VB nailed the color. 😊
For me, I think this can be best pulled off by applying to the outer half of the waterline and then buffing a light eyeshadow into the lash line. Great video!
I have one from the Sephora collection and it sort of gums up on the waterline so I feel like it’s obvious. This one looked incredible on you! Might have to give this a go.
Oh I know what you mean Angela! Something about the formula of the lighter shades can absolutely gum up and they scream WHITE eyeliner! It’s too retro almost. I think this one is much more subtle. I’m liking it.
Love it! You said what was on my mind. I have the CT also and strayed away from it because it was too obvious. I like the VB more subdue look but still bright
Oh! I definitely need one … I like wearing eyeliner on my upper lid but don’t usually bother below as it picks out any dark circles under my eye. But using THIS might be a shrewd move! Worth a go I think 🤔👍 Thanks Rebecca 🥰
I absolutely agree with you. This is definitely a good one to make sure the eye stays looking open and less tired. Listen for your shout out in the latest Dior video!
I have never tried this type of pencil (black/brown kohl liner all the way for me!) BUT I do need to remind myself to update/reinvigorate my look so I don’t get stuck in the dark ages (a very long winded way of saying I must give this a try🤣) 😊💕
Whitney! You would never be in the dark ages! I know what you mean. For me, this was just a look I loved so long ago. And it hasn’t been one that I have gravitated towards lately. I agree with you that I have preferred black or brown. And I haven’t used this very much since I’ve gotten it. It’s almost like I am reluctant to revisit the look. Not sure why.
Received mine in the mail this morning and I like it. Very creamy/smooth on application....color is good....not white like Chanel's waterprooff eyeliner. By the way, the two newest Kahjal eyeliners from Victoria Beckham are back in stock on her website this morning....Olive and Sea Grey. Ordered mine right away...I know how fast her things sell out. Enjoy your new brightening pencil. :)

I agree Giedre. I wanna start wearing this one a little more too. I haven’t used it a lot since I’ve got this as it was a look I just kind of stopped doing after a while.

Jk. I think the Sigma one would be right up my alley! That one looks slightly pink and lighter. TYSM for the swatches! Very helpful! I've been using an Essence one for 3 bucks that I love, but I wish it was a hair lighter, formulas great but on the hunt for the perfect nude one! What shade was the Sigma one? TYSM!
They don’t make that Sigma one anymore. I’m so disappointed cos people might want that pink shade, as you note. Argh. The CT is warmer. The Sigma was cooler really. Have you ever looked at the Linda Hallberg shades? Hers are lovely.
It really made a difference!! I’ve hear nothing but great things about her liner products, but I always hold back. While I love the brighter eye look, I’m not sure I want to sacrifice my black eyeliner in my water line. I’ll never give it up 🤣

Mel Thompson recommended the Milk Long Wear Gel eyeliner and I love it. It more flesh colored like the VB but it’s a twist up. It’s very creamy and does not skip so it’s easy to put on a smooth line. I’m the same as you, Jan. I rarely think to use things like this. Once I have the brown or black liner in my hand, I just use that one. Hoping to put this new VB to use more.
I rather like it. I have the Charlotte one, and I use it once in awhile, however, Lumify eye drops lighten everything up on the waterline, and gets rid of the redness. I don’t wear black in my water line, or I should say rarely, as I feel it makes your eyes smaller, at least I think so. I don’t have small eyes, but I love eyeliner on top, and on the bottom, makes my eyes even bigger. But, I think this is a good concept. When I’m done with Charlottes, I’ll give this one a go. I love it ! I’ve been using the melt cosmetics pencils because my eyes have been so red from allergies. As you mentioned the melt pencils don’t last very long on the waterline and they’re a little too bright. The Victoria Beckham color looked just right on you. As a fellow cheapo , with 20 pencils sharpeners scattered on my vanity and in my makeup drawers, I will only be purchasing the pencil. I also agree with @atypical60. You know I have a very busy, physical job and a child army. I/ we don’t have a tv. That’s right. No TV ! I can watch TV at work but I only watch educational shows like Real Housewives 😜🤦🏼♀️ jk. I don’t watch TV either. We have one because my husband watches it but I honestly think he’s the only one. And I would never miss it if it were gone so I understand you entirely. I have so many sharpeners everywhere but, it is true, there’s never one when I need it! I need to wear one around my neck on a chain. That would be funny actually. The melt pencils do not last nearly long enough but they are very gentle and I love the Cocoa color.
I have the Charlotte Tilbury one, the Chantecaille one and several other cheaper brands and surprisingly for me I've discovered that the one that seems to work the best is the Melt super slick whatever they're called one. I have very sensitive eyes that water at the slight blow of a breeze so I think because the Melt one is so soft it works for me. I find that others are too dry and I can't line my waterline with enough pigment without really applying a lot of pressure that naturally makes me cry. I was curious about this one because I know her other pencils are soft (though I am yet to try them) but I'm hesitant about the different formula
I never have liked it on me. I feel like I need that definition of a darker color. The one I do like is a super cheap on essence I think it alike a 1$ or 2$ and it’s perfect color and texture and it last. But I just don’t care it on me.
I really went off the look too in favor of darker on the bottom and lately darker on the outer bottom only. So it’ll be interesting to see if I veer back to this look. I’m so into the dark on the outer only waterline now that it’ll be hard to break!
@@veronicamcminn7775 Exactly. And our looks evolve. So this feels like me pre pre pandemic. Oh I love how time is measured now. Sigh! Maybe pre pre pandemic me is a good thing, tho. Haha. Actually!
The drug store versions are good, Marie. I agree. The MUFE is too hard. No good in no opinion. Charlotte good but obvious. I wonder what you’d think of this one.
Can I be honest Rebecca? I don't get this look, I don't like this look, I don't understand this look. Maybe it's because I have very large eyes and a wide waterline. I tightline with black liner only. If i don't toghtline, my eyes look weird. And the AUDACITY to charge extra for the sharpener? Why a sharpener is included with CHANEL for a mere 4 dollars more!! Just sayin Vickie B. 😃
I LOVE you being honest!! AND the sharpener is just so-so, not one of those cool ones with a cover. I love those. hahaha. This is a look I always always did like....three or four years ago even. And I wandered away from it and don't really have a huge interest in it anymore. So I'll have to see if this brings it back but, I gotta tell ya, I'm loving the "drama" of a black liner lately so it'll be a battle that the black liner will likely win.
I am “late” watching this video, so I will just say that I second your comment 10000000%, sis!!!! This look is not for me. I only tried it once years ago and I looked SOOO odd that I never even touched this kind of pencil again. SO sorry, but I don’t think anyone looks more awake; sorry!!!
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty lol. We do go through phases.
@@veronicamcminn7775 Exactly. And our looks evolve. So this feels like me pre pre pandemic. Oh I love how time is measured now. Sigh! Maybe pre pre pandemic me is a good thing, tho. Haha. Actually!
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty lol. It was so exquisitely normal to be around hundreds of unmasked people this week! Like it all was a dream 😴
I think its a very hit or miss technique depending on the person. For my face its a miss.
Hello Stephanie! It's just a look I moved away from for so many years. I'm not sure I'm ENTIRELY interested in revisiting it.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty totally makes sense!
@@Stephanie-hl8jo ❤️
I have the MUF , Charlotte and a drug store I can still see it . I know I have a darker complexion than someone fair or light
The drug store versions are good, Marie. I agree. The MUFE is too hard. No good in no opinion. Charlotte good but obvious. I wonder what you’d think of this one.
I want to try it now lol
@@mariestopa I think the shade is a good one. Performance wise it’s the same as others.
All I can see is the iris sitting on top of a whitish line. But I love you, Rebecca!!!! 🥰🥰💖
@@MissBeeeBeee oh BB you and I have spoken about this and how it’s always so damn obvious. Haha.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty Yes, we have spoken about this for sure. You should’ve seen my face when I tried it. I still remember feeling I had an emergency on my hands!!! How can I get this off in two milliseconds or less??? 😂😂💖
R eye looks better in L.
Hello Carol! Probably so!
Looks weird!
Many people think that. I’m starting to think that myself. It’s not a look I go for a lot
