That tool works a lot better if you are throwing a Columbia Yellow Dot.
Why not just make a remote control ball and be done with it guess no one taught anyone 2 boards left 1 board right with my eyes I'm waiting for a plum line marker lol
This is a great video. Brunsnick is always coming up with fresh and unique content. Best bowling channel on youtube!
Het nick, the link to order is broken.
Cool old school tech, I would if you do one on the Bakerbox, that would be cool
Do a head to head against the Brunswick Range finder guide
haha, martin lane reader, I could of used that in 1982 hahaha, 42 years later I find out about it, thank you Brunsnick😉🙃
I remember this card being in my local pro shop about forty years ago. It worked well because the first resin ball, the XCalibur, didn't come out until around 1992. Everyone was still using the three piece urethane Columbia uDots and the two piece urethane Hammers. And AMF Angles. And some other no longer manufactured equipment.
ok i am left handed, old and love to bowl....weird question after all these years. when you say feet on whatever board which foot are you supposed to used for targeting? I used my left, and now i am thinking it is supposed to be my slide foot, not my dominate foot.
Wow! I forgot about the Martin Lane Reader. People were STILL using plastic and rubber back then, believe it or not.
I'm guessing if you need this tool you may want to move on to checkers or tic tac toe..
So are these sold out for good as a one time deal or will more be available in the future ? Would really love to use this tool as making adjustments with my eye, feet, and boards has been a challenge for me
Isn't there an app for that? Lol.
Not in 1982! 😁
What app?
@queenbee6264 Tenpin Toolkit maybe?
Sometimes you rather not use your phone
You need to have Dasha try using that slide rule. She will love doing her math with it!
I'd love to have that. I struggle with where to move and look. I think a lot of people do.
It would be nice to see this with a spare ball.
Geebs, here we are in 2024, using a albeit neat aid or bowling tool. Surly someone has made an app version of this? 😅
I've been using my dads 80's Roto Grip UC2 as a spare ball...it has the old puddle weight in the core
You also forgot its the ball ur throwing too
I haven’t bowled in close to 50 years. I started again this year and I am really enjoying it. I ordered the tool yesterday and you already shipped it out to me. Thank you. I do have a Question. What is the best way to line up your feet ? You don’t show your feet on the boards in the video. I am never sure if I should put my Right toe on the center of the board ( I am right handed) or exactly how to place my feet on the correct board? I hope you can help with correct foot placement. Thank you. I watch and appreciate your videos. Thanks again.
I always suggest to line your slide foot with your starting board. Some use the center of the foot like I do and some use the edge of their foot. Whatever you feel most comfortable just keep it consistent. 👍🏻
Thank You for the advice I appreciate it.👍
@@brunsnick then you really do drift. i thought you were using the inside edge of the opposite foot. i was starting to think i've been doing it wrong using my slide foot
@@MrOsmodeus usually 5-7 every time. Maybe less when I’m already far left. Sorry for the confusion!
@@brunsnick i assumed it was more exagerated because you were auto-correcting subconsciously. trying to counter what is essentially bad advice for the line an arctic vibe would take.
I need this tool.
Ordering link is in the description. Video premieres Tuesday 7pm EST 😎
Do you look at your specto data after you throw? Cause your numbers that you "think" you hit at the arrows are off by 2+ boards from reality!
Yes. I talk about that in this video if you watched. 👍🏻
@brunsnick I stopped halfway thru...
The tool is not about where you hit as much as where you perceive you hit while looking downlane. Everyone will be different in that regards. Nick is "looking" at ie 9 but hits 11 because of his style. This thing accomodates for this just by you being repetitive in your shots in other words it doesnt really matter. And Nick is very consistent in his release which is what makes the tool work.
This thing needs to be in the Smithsonian Institute of Bowling. And yes, I ordered one. 🤣
It’s truly a marvel! 😁
And thank you !
And if this thing doesn't work for you, I have some magic crystals you can put in your shoes that will automatically make you stand in the right spot. 🤣👍
Do they fight odor too??
I have 2 Martin Lane Readers one is almost wore out but they do work.
in 1982 language, this is neat.
bummer, wanted to order one. Someone needs to make more, great tool.
Hi iam from.Puerto Rico and i want to now how i buy the martin lane reader? Is posible? When?
Sold out, sorry!
Hi Nick, when you say that your on board 20 which foot is on that board? TY
I line up with my slide foot (left) in the middle of the toes.
I want one and can’t get one. AAAARRRGGGHHH
Sorry! Didn’t have a lot of them and they sold out pretty fast!
I still use the 3 - 6 - 9 method, i learned in 1975...lol..then adjust with lane conditions and ball
That's for spares right? Not sure if it works for first shots.
This is a great tool I wish I could get one. Do you know how
Hey Larry, sorry, I had a small quantity but they all sold out overnight.
would be cool to see you drill a pin down symmetrical ball and then use this, i bet it’s spot on
Urethane would be better
Are they going to restock on them anytime soon?
Pretty sure they’re out of print being 40+ years old now. I was able to snag the rest the supplier had.
@@brunsnick bummer, such an amazing product....thank you for giving it the attention it really deserves
Noice Devoice!!
Got it
Thank you!
When will the martin lane reader be available again?
Don’t know. That may have been all that were left.
@@brunsnick it is a really neat tool. I’m happy people were able to get one.
Thanks!
Got it today, Thanks again!
Thank you kindly! Really appreciate that!
All this depends on rev rate, ball speed and lane conditions.
Not really.
@@brunsnick It does. not everyone is created equal.
@bigd8812 adjustments on lane are fairly universal, and this tool will help get you lined up.
@bigd8812
Yes no one is created equal... But you're not seeing one detail... If someone throws a ball standing at the same spot and hitting the same mark as you May hit the rack ten boards further right than you. They will require a bigger adjustment. The trick to making.
The tricm to making this calculator work is throwing the second ball with the same speed and rev rate as the previous shot.
@@bigd8812the tool is still awesome. It was made when bowling didn't have massive flaring balls. I think if you get this thing and use urethane alot it'll work great
Cool video tech bowling brunsnick
My home center just increased their hourly rate to 36 bucks. As such, I'd much rather practice than read. Thank you.
But reading is fundamental! 😎
