Very cool indeed! I have been facinated with the idea of 3d scanning since I was young. So cool to see it becoming more availible, gradually. Great video!

Thanks! You should ask Leica-Geosystems representatives in Belgium, maybe they already have it or knows someone who can share

my only question is how much that Leica system cost 30+k? and you don't have a sim rig to test this on? crazy.. cool video and cool concept that's been out for a while you can get similar results for way less money though the road surface doesn't look like it was read very well super bumpy doubt in real life its like this

Leica has a different range of scanners at different prices. It's just a question of how fast, accurate and safe for yourself you want to collect the information. And imagine that you don't need to have that scanner to get all the data, you can just purchase it online from a cloud service such as HxDR.com for example.

@@UNSURVEYED agreed but the one he listed I believe is quite expensive and mounts to a cars roof the whole 3d scanning of a road and surroundings really interests me it seems like sights like what you've listed are becoming a popular option I just would like to find a "cheap" way to scan a road surface accurately I'm sure I'll find something one of these days
