I like it better when you go to goodwill better than antique malls bc I can relate to buying affordable things. I have vicarious fun til my next visit to the thrift store.
I agree! I learn things from her at the antique malls, but it lacks the excitement for the viewers like Goodwill when something spectacular shows up on the shelves.
The stamp on the little pot with the gold trim is called the Royal Warrant. It is a mark of excellence - the maker will have supplied goods to England's Royal household. Way to spot a great piece!
If you take the old serving platter from Holland that is yellowed and discolored and make a mixture of acup of oxyclean and some really hot water and mix it together in a pan or basin so that the platter is covered and let it soak for hours. I usually leave it over night any them check it by rinsing it off. If it's still discolored in places, leave it in a new hot water and oxyclean soak. I've never had the plates damaged or the true colors faded, but it gets rid of the discoloration. It's great for coffee or tea cups to get rid of the stains inside. Try it.
I was so so grateful to find a Aqua Marine Glassybaby at my local Thrift Shop !!!! How much ??? I paid .49 cents Girl ! It is now in Auction on eBay ... Happy Girl here and hopefully my luck will continue
I've been know to "save" things like you did the plates at the end. I bought two 1950's choir boy Christmas figurines with the stiff lace on them at Goodwill. One had lost his hands and choir book, but he was so adorable that I couldn't leave him. I glued some 1950's plastic Christmas bells and greenery in the place where his hands had been and was very happy with the results.
Air dry modeling clay and a bit of paint is a good friend too. My daughter's Jim shore angel fell off the tree and broke off a hand so we gave her a new one and unless you take the ornie off the tree and hold it up to your face, nobody would know the difference.
I love that you pick up cross stitch. My mom was a very prolific cross stitcher and I am glad there are still people out there who appreciate the work that goes into needlework.
Really enjoyed this video. You have become a daily bright spot for me. Well you and Dagny! Thanks so very much for your bubbly charm, your love of finding treasures. It is just so wonderful!
6:27 I've started comping Yankee jar candles when I run across them. Check the eBay solds- it's surprising! Some are worth nothing and some a small fortune.
I'd never heard of a "Glassy Baby" candle votive. I saw one online but it looks just like any old glass votive holder to me. I can't see the appeal and why people would pay 70.00 or 80.00 for one. It's MADNESS. But I can see that it's lucrative for re-sellers, for sure..
Jocelyn you are a doll! I adore your vitality and excitement when you find something you love! And I am learning so much just following you. I love art glass now! God bless you!
When I saw the rose medaillon plates and that they were chipped, like you said, probably there at the GOODWILL…I could cry! Because they were so old and they could have been saved, not chipped…I am so glad you took them anyway❣️🥰
You had a great day. If you kept the boho piece and put it on your wall your parrots would love it. The first thing I thought was that there would be no way to keep my birds off. Lol The sugar bowl without a lid would make a nice bowl on your desk for paper clips or mics.
I’ve been cleaning today and needed a break. What fun to shop with you! You purchased some really nice things!! Your voice soothes me! Now, time to cook supper! Have a nice evening!!
I love that you pick up the Crewel and Cross Stitch pieces! I've done both and needlepoint and I always think they will someday land in a resale shop. We don't have a Goodwill near me, but there are other resale shops.
Love that you find potential & purpose in the items you purchase. There's always someone out there that will take interest in the items. They'll give the items a home and you'll make a profit. It keeps perfectly good items out of the landfill. Makes you wonder if an employee stocking the shelves sees something and they know there's value in and they put it to the side and buys it themselves. Just curious. 🤔
The dog treat jar would be a great welcome to the family gift filled with training treats! Heartbreaking that they were chipped, beautiful rose medallion.
When will the little Romanian piece be for sale? I am interested as my daughter in law was born in Romania and has a birthday on Feb 15. I would love to purchase it.
Commenting part-way through because, as you were showing off the wonderful measuring spoon chicken, right next to it were two Queen's Lusterware punch glasses! I got lucky and found the missing glass in my set after two months of thrifting, but those can fetch a good price if you can find sets of 4 or more!
I love that lilac picture! I like that you pointed out the small picture and said it would be an easy ship.I have learned my lesson the hard way about buying pictures for sale on eBay...we paid a whopping 58.00 to ship one today! And, I'm a nervous wreck waiting to hear it safely arrived in Colorado, lol! From now on I am just going to record them in a video and leave the heavy ones for someone else to enjoy. :)
Those gray looking plastic parfait dessert cups that you pick up at 14:44. My mom got those from Tupperware for Jell-o Pudding I believe. Brought back a memory for me.
I was talking to one of the long term employees at a local Goodwill and she said they weren't pulling and sending as many items to sell online because they don't always sell (due to shipping charges) and then the store wasn't getting the items back so their sales were dropping. So you are quite correct, every store and every regional headquarters handles things their own way. Still deals to be found. I bought a bag of napkin rings today and found 3 sterling ones amongst the silverplate.
One of our local Goodwills pulled all the name brand jeans from the Sunday sale with the color tag offered that week. Drove a few miles away and another store had not pulled their jeans from the sale. It’s not always different by regions but between stores.
Loved this shop. I liked every item you purchased. I liked the slower pace and the reasoning behind your rejecting a piece. Want to compliment you on your different hair styles and colors, nice dimples and complexion. Also, the clear manicure has a classy look versus the hard dark colors.
We cleaned out my mother in laws house in Texas and donated a bunch of stuff. They had a drive thru drop off. As soon as you pulled up, they were pulling and sorting. It was super quick too! Kinda unnerving! They had a list tacked up at each station of things to pull out.
The Baum gray bowls and cups are sold at Amazon, Bed Bath and Beyond, Home Depot, JcPenny, Macy’s and Target. I like the design and color of the bowls and cups. I liked the enamel cat teapot. You got beautiful treasures today at the good will.
Turn the lid upside down next time and it shouldn't slide off as easily because of the little knob on the top. Love this channel and I'm learning so much!❤❤❤
First of all, bless you for getting shop done in that store; it sounds like Grand Central Station.! I like all of the "stichery" and framed art that you picked up.
The issue with open sugar bowls is ants get in them. This happened to us, it was disgusting there were just little black ants not red (thank goodness) all throughout the sugar.
Hi Jocelyn ❤️ Just seeing this video today. Can't keep up I guess, not tech-y, no computer, laptop, just using my Android phone and squinting a lot. LOVE DADDY LONG LEGS pumpkin with the shoes. I must have it. Will mark my calendar to make sure I don't miss it..... I'll look in September... Love every video, sometimes they're 2,3,4 years old and I don't care because you have such a great laugh and exude happiness. Thanks for everything !!
My 8 year old and I enjoy all of your videos! The red and blue framed stitching is a traditional reverse applique, hand-made Hmong Pa Dau. I was so delighted to see that you discovered it in this video!
Although this video is 2 ye old it was fun to watch. You made some great finds in this one! I got tickled about the glassy baby issue as you are still looking for one! I love your determination and positive outlook! My favs were the yellow bowl and vase !
I watched a worker at a local Goodwill literally break a group of items on a bottom shelf by just shoving other items on top of them and then he had the audacity to say, "Look at what customers did." I looked at him and said, "I just watched you break all that stuff." He denied it and walked away. Senseless for sure!
Wow! One of The temptations chicken with measuring spoons set you found sold for $29.99 plus $11.75 shipping! Are usually don’t bother with Temptations, but it looks like there are some pieces worth picking up!
Omg goodwills/ second hand stores here in New Zealand are maned by volunteers and some time those volunteers have no idea like the Madina art glass got for my mum's xmas present. maybe abit spendy in Crazy Lamp Lady terms but thanks to you I knew I had a bargain. So some of these volunteers have no idea.
I’m hearing in Ohio they are stopping the senior day and dropping the 20% discount in all there stores. I also heard they were lowering the prices, I haven’t seen that yet.

I agree! I learn things from her at the antique malls, but it lacks the excitement for the viewers like Goodwill when something spectacular shows up on the shelves.
Me too. The prices at antique malls can be pretty expense depending on the object.
The Goodwill shopping videos are the ones I watch as well! Great point to bring up!!
Me too!

Would you mind yelling me your ebay? I'm curious to see and watch it!
I can’t believe you’re pregnant!!!! So happy for you two!!!!
I've been know to "save" things like you did the plates at the end. I bought two 1950's choir boy Christmas figurines with the stiff lace on them at Goodwill. What a great idea !
That is an awesome idea. I see some times where I get ideas like that to save something.
Good doing you saved and sure you loved it 👏
Air dry modeling clay and a bit of paint is a good friend too.
Get the bird!
I live in Columbus Ohio and found a blue glassybaby today at Goodwill for $1.99!
Yay! It's great to hear that they are out there!
I'm still looking 🙄
Really enjoyed this video. You have become a daily bright spot for me. Well you and Dagny! Thanks so very much for your bubbly charm, your love of finding treasures. It is just so wonderful!
Luv them both i watch Dagny on her videos she has some good things at her store on ebay
6:27 I've started comping Yankee jar candles when I run across them. Check the eBay solds- it's surprising! Some are worth nothing and some a small fortune.
Love the joy in your voice when you find something special 💕 Thanks for sharing your video!!
I found 2 Glassy Baby votives at our local GoodWill in Arkansas, a couple of weeks ago! $1.91 each!!! Sold them on EBay for $76 & $78!
Holy CRAP!
I had that sun and hung on my cedar privacy fence. Looked really cute
Great haul today. It was nice that you bought those rose medallion plates anyway. They're beautiful.
When I go into my local Goodwill, I put like dishes, mugs, etc. together as you do.🤣 I never used to do that. Love your videos!
Mckenzie Childs in the wild? Stick a succulent in it and call it a trophy! Great video and great finds. Love the chicken with measuring spoons.
I found a boxed glassybaby last week in my small town in Kentucky for $2.59! I wouldn’t have known what it was without you speaking about them.
What makes glassybaby special? I looked them up and there is a glassybaby store, maybe 10 miles from where I live. I had never heard of them.
Jocelyn you are a doll! I adore your vitality and excitement when you find something you love! And I am learning so much just following you.
I love art glass now! God bless you!

Love the Mckenzie Child even without the lid
Those Rose Medallion China plates are just beautiful, it would be well worth it to find a restoration company!
Congratulations - you found one ! The lid will have a glass knob on it! The Mc Kensie Childs sugar bowl!!!!!
The blue and red hearts in the frame is reverse appliqué. Very special technique done by hand. I have several pieces.
Thank you for clearing up the Glassy Baby issue.
You had a great day. If you kept the boho piece and put it on your wall your parrots would love it. The first thing I thought was that there would be no way to keep my birds off. Lol
The sugar bowl without a lid would make a nice bowl on your desk for paper clips or mics.
I found a Glassy Baby votive holder (stamped on the bottom) for $2.50 at a local Peddlers Mall. So they are out there. Keep looking!
I’ve been cleaning today and needed a break. What fun to shop with you! You purchased some really nice things!! Your voice soothes me! Now, time to cook supper! Have a nice evening!!
I am so thrilled that you are grabbing handcrafted art pics. They don’t belong in the bins!
I love that you pick up the Crewel and Cross Stitch pieces! I've done both and needlepoint and I always think they will someday land in a resale shop. We don't have a Goodwill near me, but there are other resale shops.
Yay on saving the plates! I love them even chipped!

What is glassy baby
Thanks for taking me shopping!
The green looking empoli champagne glass you picked up was Anthropologie. I sold one a while back. I think I saw "Anthropologie" under the glass.

I would have picked up those chips for the Rose medallion and see if I can re-apply them to make the chipping less visible = more $
Those gray looking plastic parfait dessert cups that you pick up at 14:44. My mom got those from Tupperware for Jell-o Pudding I believe. Brought back a memory for me.

My mom's name was Marilyn Mack, so I did a double take when I saw your name :)))xo
OMG I would have gotten on the floor and picked up every chip.
One of our local Goodwills pulled all the name brand jeans from the Sunday sale with the color tag offered that week. Drove a few miles away and another store had not pulled their jeans from the sale. It’s not always different by regions but between stores.

Some of the bowls you picked up without the lid - would make great succulent planters with rocks in the bottom.
Jocelyn’s chuckle when she finds McCoy
I’ve found the same chicken measuring spoons set! It’s temptations 🥰
I have wonderful memories about what we called the tin cups. Things stayed colder longer. Ours were shorter. This was in the 50s and 60s.
All goodwill stores need to get into this habit of laying out by color.
That was a great shopping day, and thanks to you I still find good stuff at the goodwill!😊
I love Blueridge Southern Pottery stuff. That plate was really nice!
My parent’s church sponsored a Hmong ministry and the Hmong made designs exactly like the red and blue hand sewn artwork.
Kelvin Chen is the enamel teapot artist your thinking of I think. Those gray plates are from pottery barn. Very pretty.
Now I need a black measuring cup chicken for myself!
Wow! Can’t believe all of the amazing items you found!
I just watched a "Short" video...did I hear correctly??? June 2022 ... Pink !!!!
Omg the Lilly Pulitzer Swell bottle! You went right past it in the orange section. Easily worth $20-$25!
OMG the same measuring spoon gremlins come to my house! Small world
Just found you..been binge watching for several days. We don't have great places to thrift where I live, so I have really enjoyed shopping with you!
Turn the lid upside down next time and it shouldn't slide off as easily because of the little knob on the top. Love this channel and I'm learning so much!❤❤❤
Love the pink. So happy for youse guys. !!!!
First of all, bless you for getting shop done in that store; it sounds like Grand Central Station.!
I like all of the "stichery" and framed art that you picked up.
I love your videos and have been binge watching each night. Thanks for the fun and happy videos!

The Temp-tations rooster measuring spoon set sells for between $20-$30. good find. beautiful
Loving your channel and learning new things every day! 🙂
Although this video is 2 ye old it was fun to watch. You made some great finds in this one! I got tickled about the glassy baby issue as you are still looking for one! I love your determination and positive outlook! My favs were the yellow bowl and vase !
At about 1:40....I have that mold for the girl/angel with upturned hands...early 70s late 60s
I watched a worker at a local Goodwill literally break a group of items on a bottom shelf by just shoving other items on top of them and then he had the audacity to say, "Look at what customers did." I looked at him and said, "I just watched you break all that stuff." He denied it and walked away. Senseless for sure!
Wow! He sure was a jerk!
No reason for that. I know they don't get paid much, but no excuse.@@barb-jm7990
Love, love, love your shopping videos!
I’ve seen one of those Turkish trivets at my own thrift store before!
I loved everything but the rose medallion plates are amazing even with chips.
Some brands of vintage anodized aluminum tumblers: Bascal, Colorama, Color Craft. Regal Ware... I am sure there were plenty of manufacturers.
I found a Glassybaby at my local Salvation Army for $1.99!!! I am in SoCal and things are hard to find. Thanks for all your videos!!! :)
What a great goodwill day. Love the platess
I love everything you picked up today. I love the color shelf’s.
That 2005 fancy feast ornament has some resale value to it. Fyi for next time you see or any other year, might wanna pick those up!
The glass decanters with an S & R would be perfect for my son - Sebastian Reeves! Lol
What a great Goodwill store. Wish I could find one like that in my area.
Wow! One of The temptations chicken with measuring spoons set you found sold for $29.99 plus $11.75 shipping! Are usually don’t bother with Temptations, but it looks like there are some pieces worth picking up!
It's trippy to watch two different RUclips reseller s at the same store same items but buying different things. Glad you got the enamel candle sticks.
I believe! You will find a glassy baby in the wild. I hope I see it when you do.
I found one at the bins and I squealed 🎉 I rushed home and messaged Joselyn !!! I was so excited 🎉
Kelvin Chen enameled miniature teapots
Can't wait til you list that lilac needlework picture!
It should be listed this week.
Glad you clarified, you are very knowledgable! Thank you😉
I love the excitement in your voice when you find McCoy pottery!
Omg goodwills/ second hand stores here in New Zealand are maned by volunteers and some time those volunteers have no idea like the Madina art glass got for my mum's xmas present. maybe abit spendy in Crazy Lamp Lady terms but thanks to you I knew I had a bargain. My dream is to find the 19th century rose medallion. I have 2 small pieces. The colors make me so happy. Great find.
On the bottom of the Egyptian bowl Kamal - It can be a last name (mine) or a first name in Arabic - Maybe the artist?
Great haul! ❤️❤️
I loved the aluminum glasses I remember those from the 60's. Need them in my life!!!
Great haul, my favorite was the yellow McKoy pottery.
Nice finds Joslyn!
Jocylen, you passed two white angels holding candle holders. For grandmother-related reasons, I would LOVE to have those.
Your hair looks so cute! Great video as always, too! ☺️
You always find the most interesting items.
I’m hearing in Ohio they are stopping the senior day and dropping the 20% discount in all there stores. I also heard they were lowering the prices, I haven’t seen that yet.
Well, I'm sure the seniors feel very appreciated by that move!
In South Central PA we currently only get a 15% discount. The Niche Lady in Las Vegas gets 40% so I guess it varies all over.
Amazing treasures! Fun video and thank you! 😊❤️
