- Yellowjackets season 2 may be over, but we are not out of the woods yet. IF you have not heard the news by now, a bonus episode of Yellowjackets has been confirmed. With season 3 green lit we have a lot to look forward to. In this video I predict what we might see in the Yellowjackets season 2 bonus episode and season 3.

I think the stand-alone episode is going to be about the history of the cabin. It will be featuring cabin daddy and what happened with him, prior to the girls crashing and finding the cabin themselves. I'm also wondering if one of the "terrible things" the girls did in the wilderness was leaving coach Ben behind when they got rescued.
i don’t think any of them know where ben is after he went to that hideout place so that could make sense

One can argue that most of the horrific incidents have been caused by Misty. Blackbox, mushrooms and needle

Prediction for season 3 or bonus is that older van beats cancer. Lottie said that they would see how the wilderness is happy with their sacrifice maybe it means van lives.
The bonus episode is definitely about the cabin. There's been bts of the actor (John Ritter's son) and i think it might give us a clue on what was sinister about the place. Also there were 18 survivors in s1 so i agree, they did a great job to show us the core ppl (this would include Mari and Akilah) and now showing the background. They've had various ppl in the background before during s1. Also lost did something similar when it came to introducing more ppl. I think akilah would be the other survivor, but i wouldn't be surprised if there's several more based on what the investigator said. Some were harder to find. That including Travis and Van. The podcard thing is up in the air. I think it was possible for it to be Jeff, however Travis got one.. And he was off the radar. We're not sure if Van got one. I still don't trust Walter. I also think Natalie's death will trigger something bigger.

Lottie kept saying the whole season that "they are all here". Why would she say that if there were other survivors? Unless someone more survived the wild and then had Travis' fate.
You're right, how did Jeff found Travis? I didn't remember him having a postcard too. I think i trust Walter and I ship him with Misty. I don't know what Natalie's deth can bring, unless getting Van cancer free.
i agree abt walter, i feel like theres more to him, also feel like maybe the reason they were rescued was because maybe during summer or before the next winter sets in, they send some of the girls south to find people, and thats how theres more survivors, if they found people they wouldn’t have to go back, they would just need to tell authorities where the girls are and travis and thats why we dont see them in the rescue scene cuz therye already safe
everyone that was rescued in 1998 has been revealed.
it's been a while, but im pretty sure Jeff only sent post-cards to Tai, Nat and Misty.
The “bonus episode” has already been shot. And pretty sure it is going to focus solely on cabin daddy’s story, since (due to production photos) we know that character has shot scenes, and the plot lines for the survivors (90’s and present) were very obviously wrapped-up ((many would say too quickly in the final episode)) (at least the plots they wanted to wrap this season). I don’t think cabin daddy’s story is going to be prominent in the next season(s), at least not more than a cameo or two, and I suspect the survivors may not be in this episode at all. In fact, I would not be surprised if this episode is a major departure in terms of tone, and/or directorial choices. Hell, maybe they won’t even use the regular theme-music/intro? This is just my speculation.

I think he would be the one to tell the truth about what happened out there. Maybe he finds the Black Box and fixes it somehow and that's how they actually get rescued?
Agree with Lucas, disagree with dandelion. Black box is ruined and can't be fixed. And everyone says, maybe to console Misty, that it couldn't have helped them anyway.
@@ango8466 It was just a thought as to how or why they eventually are found. After the time period discussed plane wreckage would be hard to see and overtaken with local foliage and plant growth. The Canadian Wilderness is vast. Most search crews or SAR would have called things off long before they are found. It could be sheer luck or Lottie's parents still funding SAR.
@@blackdandelion5549 yes it's just a discussion, nothing personal. We have to wait 1 or 2 or 3 seasons (if they do 5 as they say) to see how they get rescued. I'm pretty sure it will be a 4/5 season reveal.
@@ango8466 Yeah, I am simply wondering what the catalyst is to how they get found or rather thinking out loud.
I think they crashed closer to summer, and since they are in the canadian wilderness i believe that winter came a little earlier than anyone thought because no one expetced it to snow. Shauna even said in the show they were out there for 19 months. So if they crashed in super late may or even June, that would put them at two summers, two falls, 1 spring, and two winters. They would egt rescued in November or December of 1997. Im just wondering how they are goinv to do the rescue scene. It will 100% be interesting.
I think there may be another adult survivor, as well. When the teens conducted a sceance in the cabin, early on, Javi asked of the pendulum, "Are we all going to die out here?" The pendulum "responded" by making either an infinity sign or a number 8, depending on one's perception of the symbol. The adult survivors we know of, Tai, Van, Natalie, Shauna, Misty, Lottie and Travis make seven (although Travis and Natalie are now both deceased). Could another of the girls, living "way off the grid," possibly make 8? It'd be wonderful if Coach Ben survived somehow, but I find that unlikely, because being one-legged (and not having a weapon!) makes it difficult, if not impossible, to hunt wild game. And then, of course, it seems pretty apparent that there is a target on his back for having destroyed the teens' cabin; their only source of shelter.
seems weird there would be another adult survivor and they not be mentioned at all when EVERYONE else was at Lottie's cabin. doesn't seem feasible
Wilderness - We simply need an episode w/o any main cast and all about the man who died in the cabin and maybe anyone else he came out there with and him hunting, building the cabin, living out there, if he hallucinated, and WTF he was chained to a chair in the attic and his plain was still there and he didn't GTFO when he could have flown away likely before the fuel lines and rubber parts on the plane degraded enough to leak and go bad. Did he make a metal cut out of the symbol and then pound it into ach tree because doing that by hand to chisel out each one and chisel in a circle and high up in trees like when the plane crash happened would take. . . a long fricken time!!!!
8:00 they definitely stay another winter there because the pit girl scene is set on winter. Or it is this winter and then we get spring summer and rescuin, but there were only 7 people in the scene.
well they crashed in mid/late May of '96. shauna's pregnancy timeline tells us it's been about 9 months in, which puts the cabin burning down sometime in February of '97 (give or take weeks). they're rescued in january if 1998. it's likely that Pit Girl happens around NOV/DEC of 97..at which time there are at least 8 left. maybe 9 depending on if Coach Ben Scott is still alive.
it's also been hinted at by the show runners that the wilderness storyline is going to get put on hold. season 3 is going to dive into the 1998 post-rescue storyline..... (Lottie in Switzerland, Jeff/Shauna wedding, Nat/Travis toxicity, Tai and Van's falling out)

I agree pit girl will be right before their rescue. I believe pit girl is Mary.
I didn't know that season 3 won't have the wilderness storyline. But I like the afterwards 1998 idea.

I like the show a lot but I think they are making it up as they go along rather than already having an outline.
For example, they have made no attempt to explain why Tai's nan saw the man with no eyes. Or how he is connected to the wilderness. Or why the teddy caught fire. Or why the private jet caught fire.
We don’t know how big the caves are Ben only stayed near the entrance, they are more than likely old mines so should be big
I think Callie is gonna end up either dying in season 3 or killing somebody.
The bonus episode is going to be about the cabin guy... They started parts of it UT had to stop bc of the writers strike.
But it's about the cabin guy played by Melanie Lindskis husband Jason Ritter.

The bonus episode will be the story of the cabin.

Yeah I think they eluded to the son was staying with her wife's family. But I know there has to be at least a staff of people wondering wtf is going on lol
I think Jeff did do the post cards, that’s why Shauna didn’t get one. Why else would she be excluded?

Wait, has another survivor been confirmed? Also, I think there are three crash survivors unaccounted for. In that picture where they are all standing in a big circle at the crash site, there are 18 individuals. Coach Ben wasn't standing there, his leg was cut off so he was somewhere (I don't remember). So that's 19 crash survivors. We know 16 of the names - Shauna, Misty, Tai, Van, Lottie, Travis, Nat, Jackie, Laura Lee, Crystal/Kristen, Javi, Mari, Akilah, Gen, Melissa, and Coach Ben.
So there are three more people floating around in the cabin that we haven't really seen. Right? That means that 7 people could theoretically make it out of the woods (Coach Ben, Mari, Akilah, Gen, Melissa, three other mystery people, minus pit girl). I highly doubt that many make it out but we don't know yet.
That's what I thought!!! I literally counted the survivors from s1. That's why I didn't get ppl being mad about random girls this season. It was the varsity and JV team
The writers already said to don't give to much taught about the number of people, they will get more characters during seasons. They said they even tried to don't have many scenes with the full number of survivors so we wouldn't rage on the writers after
From the 19 people in the crash scene: 1Laura Lee 2 Jackie 3 Crystal and 4 Javi are dead. So we are down to 15 I guess and have 7 survivors in the present day, so 8 people that either die there or die as an adult later or are alive
The show runners say the number of survivors we see isn’t necessarily all the survivors they like to keep the numbers intentionally vague so they can introduce new characters in the 90s timeline if and when they need to in later seasons
I think the Wilderness opposition will come from Shauna based on what she wrote in her journal.
Ehh bonus episode feels like it would probably be a bonus timeline. Almost surely the cabin in the past with bone pops and whatever he was up to out there lol. Breaking back into the current timelines after all that ending drama for a bonus episode wouldn't really fit with the climax of season 2 happing and would really be the start of a season 3 storyline. At that point why a bonus episode at all🤔
I love how many people are into the discussion of this show though. Puts into light how amazing the story line is and how important the writers guild truly is. I don't think chat gpt could put together such an amazing story with all the indepth symbolism of this show lol. The last time they were on strike it lasted for 3 months 😬 let's hope that or worse isn't in store for this one. They were literally on day one of season 3 writing when the strike was announced Ahh!! Haha
I just started watching this show, even though my friend had been telling me to watch it for the past 2 years. Finished the second season today and remembered seeing you cover it on my feed at sometime. Anyway, now I’m waiting same as everyone else for both Yellowjackets and TWoW. I’ve been trying to convince myself Steve is with Sammy and his grandparents and hoping Tai can stay far away, since her alter’s main objective has been fucking with that kid. Poor little guys, the both of them.😢

Good shows love open cliffhangers for sure haha. My gut says season 3 will open with all of them settled back into some sense of normalcy (normal for them anyways) then maybe the additional survivor rolls in. I think they announced that one's still to come but it won't be a lost pal it'll be someone who they thought was dead and is out for blood 🤔 hmm haha

Yeah I wonder what the man with no eyes tax policy is 😆 there is a real real possibility that Taissa is politically bipartisan within her own head

this is a good theory but on sammis page w/ the 210 post end scene thing it says the location is the past so i don’t think the bonus up will be 2021 if it’s only one timeline

I also don’t wanna see the son being a full time character either 😭 and you’re right about children aging real fast because they do (which is why if they wanted him a full fedged character they should’ve hired a 16+ actor to play him so the aging does not look obvious).
Because since they’re aiming for 5 seasons, we won’t get to the final season until 2026 and if they’re aiming to stay with tiny time jumps then they should keep the son out because the actor looks around 10 in S1 and he’s not gonna look like a little boy anymore by the time season 4 & 5 comes.
I also want them to explore Natalie’s character a bit more and Tai and Van’s relationship.
it's already been said that season 3 is going pause the wilderness storyline and time jump to the 1998 storyline of the survivors post-rescue aftermath as they attempt to re-enter society.
