I live in the Carolinas and these out of state linemen have been working their ass off from day one.
Yes. A lot of federal government employees from multiple agencies volunteered their time to go on assignment and assist FEMA. It’s the largest effort since the Columbia disaster shuttle recovery.
They didn't do any work around here til day 4.

Well I’m in Central Florida and we just went thru Helena, even though we didn’t get a direct hit. An now we getting ready for Milton. As someone who is a life long Floridian and have been thru more hurricanes then I have fingers. We understand that hurricane relief is a state not Federal responsibility. The feds can only come in and do what the State allows them to do. Now if it’s higher and even FEMA resources can’t help then Congress has to pass a relief bill. To give the additional financial funds and the president can then sign that. Remember when Trump and Republicans threatened to keep relief from California during their epic fires? So sorry this what happens when u allow in the south a bunch of Climate Change deniers to control and lead our states for Decades! This falls on that states all natural disasters falls on the states first. Fact!

Like let’s make a habit of verifying information before spreading, rather than using word of mouth…find 2 reliable sources before speaking. It’s not designed to reimburse everything that was lost. It’s supposed to help you get back on your feet with some essentials. Anything extra, you would have to go to work, file a claim with your insurance, apply for other assistance programs, pull from your 401K, etc.

I am a Proud Carolina Girl from the Western area of NC. 35 miles West of Charlotte. I live in the foothills. I can make it to the North Carolina Mts. Within 45 - 60 mins. Lots of people are unaccounted for , still. They are projecting hundreds missing. But , I believe it is more within a thousands missing. My Brother-in-law was just dispatched through the National Guard. He says it is so much worse than what we are visualizing within media coverage. It is devastating. $750 is not enough for the carnage families have suffered that endured the eye of the storm. Thankfully , my home and surrounding property endured fallen trees and No Power , only. We feel BlesSeD compared to the loss of homes others have been left without. I am Pro-Kamala Harris. However , I am disappointed that our government sends millions of dollars to other countries. And , does not care for their own citizens suffering destruction appropriately. I am heartbroken for my neighboring Carolinians.
